Jesus Christ Solves All Problems—Theorizing Does Not

Subject: I need help.

Good morning Victor. I have grown up in and out of Church. I was saved at a young age, but had backslidden. While backslidden, I married my first husband who had been a believer but started leaning more towards buddhism.

We were married for about 7 years and were absolutely miserable. Both of us were adulterous and our marriage was never grounded in the word of God. We divorced after 7 years.

I later remarried to my second husband Jonathan.

Jonathan is a believer who had been abandoned by his first wife  because she ran off with another man. She is of catholicism, but doesn’t hold to her faith. They divorced. My question is is our marriage valid? Was my first marriage ever valid in the eyes of God? What do I do to rectify this situation?

I have faced MANY judgments for my backsliding and tremendous sins  and that is to include losing custody of my children. I have a child that is rebellious with my current husband. He is a direct reflection of the things I have done. I want to please God, but I don’t know what to do.

Please help me.

Thank you,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

You need to build on an established and sure foundation and there’s only one such – the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are to be saved, you can only place your faith in Him; not in a church organization, priest or pastor or anything or anyone else. From there, by His grace and leading, you’ll be enabled to build and make decisions that will pull you out of your complicated situation. He will do it all.

Jesus Christ can fix anything, Jennifer, no matter how broken or far gone. Consider that He raised Himself from the dead. Death is far gone as it gets, isn’t it? If a grave can’t prevent Him, what can? Jesus said He IS the Resurrection. He has proven His words to us in this world in undeniable terms. So there IS hope, for sure.

By the way you seem to define believing and being a Christian, I don’t see that you or either of your spouses or their spouses was a BIBLICAL Christian – Catholic, yes, or some other denomination, yes, but Christian as known in the Scriptures, no.

Your situation is certainly like being in a maze with no known way out. You’ll never find your way unless you take the one right path of Truth – and there is only one. Only Jesus Christ will make you free:

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32 MKJV).

“Therefore if the Son [Jesus Christ] shall make you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36 MKJV).

So rather than trying to figure things out or regroup or reorganize, you need to come to the Living Christ Jesus and lay your burdens there at His feet. This begins with repentance and confession of yourself as a sinner. You need to get honest with God and be prepared to obey Him and do the right thing in all matters. We are here as His ambassadors to serve however He directs for you.

You ask whether one man is your legitimate husband or not. At this point, it doesn’t matter. You need to get right with your Lord and Savior. Believing, you’ll know all you need to know and will be led to green pastures and still waters, to peace and safety.

Now the Holy Scriptures of God declare that faith comes by the Word of God, which we preach as those sent by Him. Immerse yourself in our site – read, read and read. There are many writings God has given us to lead to life.

If you have questions, ask and we will reply, Lord willing.

Victor

A Believer’s Wife Conflicts with Him
From: Marc To: The Path of Truth Sent: Saturday, July 30, 2016 5:00 PM Subject: Done with my own life here Almost 3 years now i been searching and trying to study things. Have prayed and even fasted. Lot of times not praying like i should i guess.. I never was a person to have dreams until i started trying to search and understand the bible. It is like i am in the same cycle over and over again trying to repent then fall then try again and again. Sometimes i feel like i am close then falls apart again.. Some prayers i think have been answered but then i wonder what spirit is answering them. If there is a true man of God with the Holy Spirit i wish i could find him. I know there are not many Pauls of the bible in the world any more. I am married with children and have no been a good father or husband. If i am to confess things to another man then i will. I have confessed everything i know to Jesus and even written a letter on paper..  I will tell you one thing that happen to me is me and my wife would argue a lot and it was in my heart to not go back to her, then the 3rd night after that was in my heart it was like i had a vision or dream, not sure which but it was so powerful when i woke up it took me a few minutes to collect myself. In it was like i was studying the bible and i remember looking and all i read was Love your wife as you love yourself and know if you love your wife then you love yourself also.. Separating the Sheep from the Goats Happens Now
From: Raj To: The Path of Truth Sent: Sunday, February 28, 2016 2:32 PM Subject: Ray Comfort Hi my name's Raj, I'm a Christian from Cambridge England. I'm trying to understand your critisisms towards Ray Comfort, in this article you wrote: https://www.thepathoftruth.com/false-teachers/ray-comfort.htm Firstly what exactly are you critical of with Ray's witnessing encounter? Is it that he said that "people that don't accept God will go to hell" ? You put the following statement in the first paragraph: "You told him that God is going to send everyone that does not accept Him into a place of interminable torment. That is one of the biggest lies ever told about God, if not the biggest, and certainly the most heinous." and then you go on to say: "And though you obviously think so, you will not find such a threat in the Bible anywhere". But the Bible does teach on people that don't accept God through Christ going to Hell: John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". Romans 8:1 - "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus". Matthew 25:46 - “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” But to name a few scriptures, of course there's a lot more. I think you've completly misundertood Ray and gone on a massive unjustified rant about him, without truly understanding the Gospel.  A ...
Deluded to Believe Hell Is Never Ending
From: Dan To: The Path of Truth Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 2016 8:55 AM Subject: Mary Baxter Well I do have to say you have no idea about what the bible really says. You should really look up the judgements of God and you will then know that judgement is forever in hell. Why do you think it says death and hell are thrown into the lake of fire? What does fire do but burns continually, and it's not fire but actually liquid molten sulfur continually burning and it is true that the flesh continually comes back because that's the working of the tree of life except when those are in hell there will be continual torment.  And the bible does say that. Yes once in hell the judgement is set, there's no return from hell because we can never ever righteous except for God in us therefore no amount of judgement upon those in hell can ever make them righteous so therefore the torment will continue for ever. The bible says God will destroy both body and soul in hell. Please study things before you say things that are not true,  thankyou.  From: Paul Cohen and Victor Hafichuk To: Dan Sent: Sunday, May 22, 2016 7:02 AM Subject: Re: Mary Baxter “Why do you think it says death and hell are thrown into the lake of fire?” Because “the last enemy to be destroyed is death” (1 Corinthians 15:26 ESV). If Jesus Christ is the First and the Last, Almighty God Whose grace abounds more than sin, how can any person be totally irredeemable?  Look at yourself, Dan, spouting ...
