Turning from the Catholic church to the Lord

Hello,
I would value your prayers.
I married an unsaved catholic when I was very backslidden. I was divorced before – also as a result of my own backsliding – so this is my second marriage.
I am now consumed by the wrongness of the situation I find myself in – my minister says I will only add to my own sin by leaving this marriage but apart from our child (conceived before we married) I see no blessing and have no peace.
I have asked God to take over because I do not know what to do.

Subject: Turning to the Lord Jesus Christ

Hi Amanda,

Were you a believer before you married your second husband, or were you the product of the same church system that includes the Catholic Church? Have you ever been converted to Christ? Tell us more about your spiritual background and what’s happened to you since you began to profess faith.

Know this: If you turn to the Lord with all your heart in genuine, permanent repentance, He will not disregard your plea. That’s because He will have given you to repent, and whom He calls to repentance, He saves.

Romans 10:9-13 MKJV
(9)  Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
(10)  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.
(11)  For the Scripture says, “Everyone believing on Him shall not be put to shame.”
(12)  For there is no difference both of Jew and of Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call on Him.
(13)  For everyone, “whoever shall call on the Name of the Lord will be saved.”

What church are you going to now?
