Hello,

I wanted to ask if you believe in generational curses? Some doctrines say Jesus finish e everything in the cross,  so there is no generational curses for a new born in Christ. Can you explain ? I am very confuse because i myself felt at times as if i had generational curses from my ancestors. My life is not success in Jesus and don’t understand why. Thanks,  and God bless.

A man named Felix recently asked us about the same topic, Raul. Here is his letter:

Thanks for your nice piece, l have understood that God curses come as a result of being disobedient to him, that is not obeying His Laws.

But is there anything like generational curse? Because when u read 2kings14:5-6 it says that it is written in the book of law that parents are not to be put to death for crimes committed by their children and children are not to be put to death for the crimes committed by their parents; a person is to be put to death only for a crime he himself has committed.

Jer.31:29-30
Eze.18:1-32
Job.21:19-20

These three chapters in the bible also state it clear that nobody is punished cos of the sins of his/her parents but everyone will be judged according to his/her deeds so where lies these Generational curse that people preached about? [END]

This was our answer:

Felix, it’s true that every person is responsible before God for their own actions. It’s also true that every person has inherited curses of one kind or another, going back to the very beginning:

“And to Adam He said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it! The ground is cursed for your sake. In pain shall you eat of it all the days of your life. It shall also bring forth thorns and thistles to you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return” (Genesis 3:17-19 MKJV).

We’re not off the hook because Adam or our ancestors sinned. We’re no different than they are – that’s why all are called to repentance and the exercise of godly faith in Christ.

My ancestors crucified the Christ and inherited the curse prophesied by David:

Psalms 69:21-28 MKJV

(21)  They also gave Me gall for my food; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink.
(22)  Let their table become a snare before them; and to those at ease a trap.
(23)  Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see; and make their loins shake without ceasing.
(24)  Pour out Your wrath on them, and let the glow of Your anger take hold of them.
(25)  Let their dwelling be wasted; let none dwell in their tents.
(26)  For they persecute him whom You have stricken, and they talk to the grief of those You pierced.
(27)  Add iniquity to their iniquity, and let them not come into Your righteousness.
(28)  Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous.

But when the Lord gave me repentance and turned me to Himself, the faith He gave me to obey Him reversed the curse and there was life from the dead. Therefore, you see that all these things are working together for good. There needed to be the fall in order to experience the resurrection of the dead; the curse to experience the blessing of God.

Does this help?

Turn away from false teachers who come as ministers of righteousness in Christ’s Name but are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Lies bind to death; only Truth will make you free. [END]

A Child of Darkness Presumes to Teach

From: Jason To: The Path of Truth Sent: Sunday, August 28, 2016 12:04 AMBlessed are those who are poor in spirit. (Blessed are those who aren't spiritually arrogant and think they know everything.) There is only one teacher his name is Holy spirit. Everything you do if you do it without Love it means Nothing. After reading through most of your website. After reading you criticize other ministers using scripture sections to twist things into your perspective. Then questioning the very Bible that you pulled the scripture from. Please spend some time alone with God ask Holy spirit to show you who you really are. It's God's goodness that leads men to repentance . It has nothing to do with pointing your finger at people at telling them that they are wrong. Bashing other ministries. And then wondering how the enemy might have worked his way in to the new Testament and corrupted it. How small is God to you? Pleas spend some time with God. Ask him to show you how big and how powerful he really is. You might even get to see something which will truly humble you. Being Correct in All Teachings

From: Chris To: The Path of Truth Sent: Thursday, June 02, 2016 6:16 PM Subject: QuestionI just stumbled onto your site this evening while searching Clayton Jennings. I read the article between yourselves, Allison and Clayton. Very discouraging. I was not impressed with Clayton's replies, but he is right, you know nothing about him, except reading his website. I then went to the 'false teachers' page and was very surprised at the list of names there. I trust that by you openly judging all those people, you have done more research than you did with Mr. Jennings. I am not endorsing Clayton Jennings, but if he is drawing people to Christ, then what is wrong with that?  I was taught, by Greg Laurie, who didn't make your list, that we should not put our trust in any man, only The Lord. Man will let you down, every time. It is the responsibility of the seekers of Christ to determine what is correct and what is not and get that knowledge from Him. The way they are lead to Him does not matter. Another thing that has stuck with me, a dear friend of mine told me, we take in the information we receive from man, like eating a peach. You spit out the pit, right?  Same rule applies....no man can be 100% correct in all of his teachings, except one!!!Respectfully,Chris From: Paul Cohen and Victor Hafichuk To: Chris Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2016 7:09 AM Subject: Re: Question “Do not judge according to sight, but judge righteous judgment” (John 7:24 M...

Help, I'm Apostate!

From: Joseph To: The Path of Truth Sent: Saturday, July 02, 2016 4:54 PM Subject: ApostateI Think I've been Cut OffI fell into to many snares and gave satan to much to work with. My family has been over ran and I lost track of what I was being called out of. I've been on prescription pain killers for over 10 years now for a back problem (Addicted) My main focus in life was to get on disabilty instead of pleasing God and I built up a false realty that my way of life was acceptable with God, then when I started to get off of the pain killers I realized the damage that I had done to my brain (Bipolar Disorder) and have been overwhelmed by dysfunctional horrible intrusive thoughts, Panic attacks, breathing problems and my sleeping patterns are off. I have a fearful realization that God had turned me over to reprobation. My wife is a unbeliever and I never fully broke away from my old life. My wife and I are separated now and none of my children are christians. I fear the Holy Spirit may have left me. How far will God go to keep you from falling away? I've prayed and tried to turn things around but to much damage has been done and I am not well. Would he turn someone over to Satan (Which I know he has done) for the destuction of the flesh 1 Co 5:5 (or because I've become a castaway) I'm hoping he would go to these extreems to keep me from being cut off. I know the Holy Spirit came into my life when I was 20 years old and I had a indescribable Joy at that time but since ...
