Hello,

I wanted to ask if you believe in generational curses? Some doctrines say Jesus finish e everything in the cross,  so there is no generational curses for a new born in Christ. Can you explain ? I am very confuse because i myself felt at times as if i had generational curses from my ancestors. My life is not success in Jesus and don’t understand why. Thanks,  and God bless.

A man named Felix recently asked us about the same topic, Raul. Here is his letter:

Thanks for your nice piece, l have understood that God curses come as a result of being disobedient to him, that is not obeying His Laws.

But is there anything like generational curse? Because when u read 2kings14:5-6 it says that it is written in the book of law that parents are not to be put to death for crimes committed by their children and children are not to be put to death for the crimes committed by their parents; a person is to be put to death only for a crime he himself has committed.

Jer.31:29-30
Eze.18:1-32
Job.21:19-20

These three chapters in the bible also state it clear that nobody is punished cos of the sins of his/her parents but everyone will be judged according to his/her deeds so where lies these Generational curse that people preached about? [END]

This was our answer:

Felix, it’s true that every person is responsible before God for their own actions. It’s also true that every person has inherited curses of one kind or another, going back to the very beginning:

“And to Adam He said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it! The ground is cursed for your sake. In pain shall you eat of it all the days of your life. It shall also bring forth thorns and thistles to you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return” (Genesis 3:17-19 MKJV).

We’re not off the hook because Adam or our ancestors sinned. We’re no different than they are – that’s why all are called to repentance and the exercise of godly faith in Christ.

My ancestors crucified the Christ and inherited the curse prophesied by David:

Psalms 69:21-28 MKJV

(21)  They also gave Me gall for my food; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink.
(22)  Let their table become a snare before them; and to those at ease a trap.
(23)  Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see; and make their loins shake without ceasing.
(24)  Pour out Your wrath on them, and let the glow of Your anger take hold of them.
(25)  Let their dwelling be wasted; let none dwell in their tents.
(26)  For they persecute him whom You have stricken, and they talk to the grief of those You pierced.
(27)  Add iniquity to their iniquity, and let them not come into Your righteousness.
(28)  Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous.

But when the Lord gave me repentance and turned me to Himself, the faith He gave me to obey Him reversed the curse and there was life from the dead. Therefore, you see that all these things are working together for good. There needed to be the fall in order to experience the resurrection of the dead; the curse to experience the blessing of God.

Does this help?

Turn away from false teachers who come as ministers of righteousness in Christ’s Name but are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Lies bind to death; only Truth will make you free. [END]

A Joseph Hedgecock Follower Defends Selling the Gospel
Subject: Servants of the Lord ministries Date: 11/28/2015 7:02 am From: Bert To: The Path of Truth Hello Victor, Paul, Sara and Edwin, To my surprise and by coincident I read you have Joseph Hedgecock and Servants of the Lord Ministries on your list of false teachers/organisations. I read the part where a woman said she got hurt by listening to Joseph and when you ask her to explain more in detail she refused to go into your question. It sounded for me like there was something wrong in the way she presented here accusation. Many did not follow the Lord Jesus because they found His words hard and exactly that is what is happening today. It is even a warning for the end times that people will not endure sound doctrine. Then Victor use words as “these things don’t ring true, because….. How do you discern this, if you do it out of your reasoning and understanding you will be deceived, only by the Holy Spirit one can come to truth. Only the right divided Word of God, that what the Lord meant by it, is the truth. Not what believers make of it by reading it and try to explain it. I can clearly read in the comments of Paul Cohen that he did not read the books of Joseph but somehow give his own opinion on it, for example that the cross is not applied. Without the cross it is not possible to enter into the Kingdom of God now, that is at this right moment. More practical teaching than S.O.L.M. you will not find, it is a daily taking up your cross. Grace: Establishing the Law by God's Righteousness
From: Lucy To: The Path of Truth Sent: Friday, January 29, 2016 9:50 PM Subject: Todd White The Path of Truth team, Hello fellow Christians, I hope you're having a lovely night. It's been on my heart for a while now to let you know that I truly believe you are plundering someone who genuinely lives in Christ. Todd White glorifies sonship and righteousness, and you speak of his "gaudy" outreach, but scripture teaches that we can't be in God without love--the Law came from Moses, but we are dead to the Law; grace, truth and love came from Jesus Christ. He's just very passionate, even if that doesn't resonate with a worldly vision of a Christian (reserved, plain). He is both meek and bold as a lion (as the righteous are) and speaks of Jesus in everything he does, and displays true joy in the Lord. Faith and love are so deeply intertwined. I don't believe in putting our trust in any man, even Jesus didn't do that (beginning of the book of John). But Todd agrees with that--he is often saying that he is no different than anyone else in the body of Christ and that it's not about him. He makes it very clear that it's not about us, it's about Jesus. And I think he quotes scripture more than what I often see on this particular site, and always delivers his messages with love. And he doesn't ask for money, he allows for donations, just like most churches, hospitals, and not-for-profits. We are to test our ministers, and when I do that with Todd, I just can't find any signs of u...
Christian Blasphemes Jesus Christ
In October, 2021 Victor was contacted by a young man, Christian Beauchamp. Christian was writing, asking for counsel and understanding with things going on in his life. After thankfully receiving that counsel and faced with the decision to follow through, Christian suddenly turned, and blasphemed against the Lord. Below is the full correspondence. For a little more than a year now, the Lord has been guiding me towards the Truth and opening my eyes to the many ways I have been deceived throughout my life. I have many questions about dreams, visions, and other experiences I have had but for now, I have a more pressing matter that I need advice on. Like you, I was also raised by a Catholic family (a somewhat undevoted one for that matter) and have been attending Catholic schools my entire life. I am now attending St. Louis University, a Jesuit Catholic university. Now that my eyes have been opened to the many evils of Catholicism, I feel that the Lord is calling me out of this school. On campus, there are plentiful liberal atheist professors teaching false doctrines, pervasive homosexuality, and the majority of women indecently expose themselves, even professors. The amount of demonic activity here is truly troubling and I want to get as far away from this schoo...
