I am struggling with understanding the bible and rightly dividing the word, I see a lot of truth on your website, however I am confused, you claim that the story of lazarus is possibly false scripture, but I see  that you use the story to support your case. the writings below are copied and pasted from your own words, please help me to understand, I look forward to your reply

Sincerely, Robert

Back to Hell…in discussion and not in reality. The Lord Jesus appeared to an apostle and prophet, John, telling him He held the keys of Death and Hell. Does He hold keys to illusory places? He gave a parable about Lazarus and the rich man, the rich man being in a place of torment, translated in the KJV as Hell, from the Greek word, “Hades,” a place for departed souls. Hell, in the Bible, is known as a place of unconsciousness and darkness. It is a state, and most of the world is in it. It is far from unusual or uncommon.

Hi Robert,

You write:

When Victor received the revelation about how the story of the rich man and Lazarus was added to the Bible, we already had many writings on our site, a few of which referenced this pagan parable (but not to promote its false teaching). We tried to remove all of those references, but apparently missed the one you’ve brought to our attention, which we’ve now corrected to read as follows:

“Back to Hell… in discussion, not in reality. The Lord Jesus appeared to an apostle and prophet, John, telling him He held the keys of Death and Hell. Does He hold keys to illusory places? In this instance, ‘Hell’ comes from the Greek word ‘Hades,’ or ‘unseen,’ a place for departed souls. Hell, in the Bible, is known as a place of unconsciousness and darkness. It is a state, and the whole world is in it. Read The State and Fate of Hell.”

Hell is real, but isn’t as depicted in the made up story of Lazarus and the rich man. The story is false, not just “possibly.” Do read our explanation in the following writings:

The Rich Man and Lazarus – A Pagan Parable
L. Ray Smith’s Faulty Interpretation of the Rich Man and Lazarus
Removing the Plagues of False Scripture

Let us know if you have any further questions or need for clarification. And thank you for pointing out this inconsistency, Robert; we appreciate it very much.
