"You Worship You Know Not
What
We know what we
worship: for salvation is of the Jews." - Jesus Christ
One reader of a recent letter takes exception to the message that Jesus Christ is God, Jehovah, Yahweh, Creator, Father of spirits.
Hi there,
While I appreciate the heart of the message, it is not great to see you say that 'many' crucified him nor to see you preaching that Jesus is God (you say "The One these people professed to worship, they crucified.") when scripture goes to great lengths to ensure the distinction is taught between the one true God (YHVH) and the man Jesus Christ (Yahushua ha Mashiach).
So while you talk against indoctrination into 'religion', I feel that you are perpetuating it as well by teaching scripturally unfounded dogma (Trinity) that was invented in the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD by Rome. You testify to this by showing that God is a Spirit (John 4) who is immortal and invisible (John 1), while Jesus is a man, sent by God, commissioned with God's redemptive plan for mankind (Acts 2), a mediator between God and man (see 1 Timothy 2).
There is so much 'religion' wrapped in the doctrine preached that has no scriptural basis. Release from religion must include release from false teachings so that we, like the Jews, know who we worship, YHVH the Father of all.
Blessings
Rich
Our response:
I greet you, Rich, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Yahushua HaMashiach.
This, the Scriptures tell us, is the only Name given whereby men must be saved (Acts 4:12). Now, Who but God can save man? The Scriptures are clear, but not as you describe or see them.
"And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore Mine own arm brought salvation unto Me; and My fury, it upheld Me" (Isaiah 63:5).
It was God Himself Who brought us salvation. There is no other god beside Him. He alone is Savior.
"You are My witnesses, says the LORD, and My servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside Me there is no Savior" (Isaiah 43:10-11).
There is only one Creator Who alone is God.
"I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside Me: I girded you, though you have not known Me: that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside Me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these [things]. Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it" (Isaiah 45:5-8).
Of Yahushua it is said: "He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not" (John 1:10).
Yahushua and Yahweh are One and the Same. Jesus Christ IS LORD. There is only one Creator, Almighty God, Lord, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. This is the same Child who was born; the Son who was given, upon Whose shoulders the government shall be. (Isaiah 9:6)
You say that God could not manifest Himself in the flesh, Richard, and still be a Spirit. This is not so, nor taught in Scripture. God appeared in the flesh to Abraham, and to Jacob, and yet was still a Spirit. Why do you think He couldn't do this? Is anything too hard for the Lord? Who will tell Him that He can't appear simultaneously in the flesh, and yet still be the Father of Spirits?
We are not preaching three gods in one, as you suggest. That is a false doctrine that in fact we refute by teaching that Jesus Christ is very God. Victor wrote about this on our webpage, in a paper, which discusses many such false teachings ("Diabolical Doctrines"). I copy that segment for you here:
"
"God is three persons." (A diabolical doctrine)
What horrid confusion, vainglory and strife have been produced by philosophers posing as Christians, taking God into an intellectual lab and under the microscope, dissecting Him into three, and even messing with the records (Scriptures) to support their damnable heresies! What arrogance! What presumption! But these are doctrines of devils designed to confound and derail seekers of truth. False doctrines are there to test the pilgrims traveling to the celestial city of God. Paul told the Corinthians "there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved (of God, that is) may be made manifest among you."
"Hear, O Israel, the Lord your God is ONE Lord." "There is ONE LORD, one faith, one baptism." "...God was manifest in the flesh, seen of angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." "If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father." "Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE HAS PURCHASED WITH HIS OWN BLOOD." Who has? Jesus, the Holy Ghost, or God?
Some clever thinker has come up with the arrangement that "We pray to the Father, through the Son, by the Holy Spirit." But tell me, to whom did Stephen pray when he was stoned? Perhaps the trauma of the experience hindered him from understanding the difficult, yes, impossible "concept" (who can conceive such a thing?) of the trinity and remembering how he ought to relate to "it." It is recorded that Stephen, calling upon God, said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit" (Acts 7:59)!
Please, I know your arguments and I tell you they are all products of brain soiling and quite easily countered with truth from Scripture. I hear the voice of God. As Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice..." Do I hear introductions like, "This is the Father" or "This time it's the Son" or "Yesterday you heard from the Son but today I, the Holy Spirit, am speaking?" Or do I sometimes or always hear a chorus of three voices? No, I hear one voice, as did all the prophets of God. He is one, not three. Jesus is God and all the figurative language Jesus and others used concerning the Person of God is understood by those to whom it is given. Isaiah says there is only one Savior and none besides Him. Isaiah also calls the Son "Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." God has presented Himself to the world in a body formed by and for Himself and we are to be obeisant to Him, as He has presented Himself.
I am one. I am a father, a son and a husband. That may make three positions or roles but it does not make me into three persons. So it is with God, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is Lord (Father) Jesus (Son) Christ or "Anointed One" (Holy Spirit).
Anything else is pure folly and fatal. Like I said, volumes could be written but my purpose is not to say all for now. However, for those who would know more and would like to hear explanations of various verses anywhere in Scripture, please contact me.
CONSIDER THE ALTERNATIVE TO BELIEVING THIS DOCTRINE: BELIEVING THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST ARE ONE AND THE SAME ELIMINATES MUCH CONFUSION AND IF THERE ARE TWO OR THREE PERSONS, LET THEM SPEAK AND IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS SUCH. IF THEY DON'T, TAKE IT THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD. WHO BUT A TRINITARIAN CAN CONDEMN YOU? LET HIM GO ON EXPLAINING THREE PERSONS IN ONE.

Richard, you have jumped to conclusions not at all warranted about what we believe and are preaching. You can read over our website if you want to truly know what we are saying, and to hear the truth that the Father has given us.
However, as Victor says in his writing, these things also must be given to you to receive. No man can know Who Jesus Christ is, and have the revelation of God, unless the Father gives it to him (Matthew 16:17).
