Jan Boshoff – A False Prophet Gets a Lesson about True Prophets

Paul and Victor wrote the following note to Jan Boshoff, in response to his blog page about Mary Baxter:

Jan,

We, Victor Hafichuk and Paul Cohen, write to you as servants of the Lord Jesus Christ, sent by Him to preach the Good News. On our website, we publish the Word of the Lord that He has given us to teach all men about Him and His will for mankind.

Someone asked us to look at your materials, and, because you link her testimony on your site, asked us about Mary Baxter:

“Have you heard of someone called Mary Baxter who claims Jesus took her to Hell and Heaven for 40 days or something like that in dreams maybe? She’s got a book out, what do you think? How do we know when people claim they saw Jesus in a dream or vision or even hear a voice that what they’ve experienced is not some fraud?”

In response, we reviewed Mary Baxter’s vision of Hell and posted her in False Teachers Exposed:

Jan, Mary Baxter’s testimony is plainly not of God. Furthermore, we have heard from the Lord that Mary Baxter is a deliberate liar. She made up all her testimony, every bit of it. It is vile! How amazing that so much of nominal Christendom is deceived by such wicked nonsense! And here you are, supposing to know better, thinking to have come out of the church system and presuming to speak on behalf of God - yet you have fallen for the blatant lies of this charlatan and her gospel of Satan.

What is even worse is that you lead others to consume this poison. Ministers of God do not feed His sheep, or any other creatures, toxic wastes. You have more responsibility and blood on your hands for the evil you do by spreading lies about the Lord Jesus Christ.

What you think to be hearing from the Lord is coming from your own imagination. Though you have been sincere in what you preach (unlike Baxter, who is purposely deceitful), you are deluded nevertheless, and you are not right with God. Those who are deluded have not received a love of the Truth that they might be saved (2 Thessalonians 2:10).

Jesus is not only coming - He is here now, speaking to you through us. Are you ready? Are you prepared to listen and turn from doing your own thing, just as you preach that others must do? Or will you protect yourself and your “ministry,” playing the hypocrite before God?

He is finished winking at all such evildoing.

Dear Friends

You have read my writing and how I got to know of Baxter’s testimony.

Every man is a liar and God is the truth, yet He uses man to deliver His messages. Do we believe in man? Jeremiah 17:5 gives the answer to that.

“So says Jehovah, Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Jehovah” (Jeremiah 17:5 MKJV).

I do not accept the testimony of a man, neither do I reject it but do as James wrote in James 1:5.

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him” (James 1:5 MKJV).

Thus my guidance is not from flesh.

Would you recommend yourselves as absolutely infallible?

However I do preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified Who is to be followed.

Could God speak through Baxter? He could even speak through Balaams donkey if He wishes.

Have you been anointed to expose Baxter?

“Do not speak against one another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it.” James 4:11.

Are you sent to judge me? I quote you:

“What you think to be hearing from the Lord is coming from your own imagination. I have nothing to protect my friends, as I have nothing to lose. I do not have a ministry. I am just a servant.

Jesus is my judge and yours. May we be found complete in His sight at His coming.

Jan, you have rightly addressed us as “friends,” for so we are, but judging by your words we have already addressed and by this letter you now send us, you have an insufficient idea of what you are saying when you call us “friends.” Let us enlighten you.

The Lord is everybody’s friend. He is love, and when He comes to judge, He does so with perfect wisdom and good intent, though He is deemed an enemy by those who do not know Him as He is. He is especially perceived as a threat to the religious, like you, who have known about Him, but have not entered into an intimate union and fellowship with Him, though they may claim to have done so.

We have been brought into that fellowship with Him, by His will and grace, for which we are very thankful. Therefore, we no longer wait for Him to come as you claim to do. For us, He has come, and now He has sent us to others, that they might be judged. Yes, Jan, judged...

...and rebuked: “Take heed to yourselves. If your brother trespasses against you, rebuke him. And if he repents, forgive him” (Luke 17:3 MKJV).

With your spirit and staunch words and falsehood, you have trespassed against us, against Christ’s brethren, and against the Lord. You have sinned, and we rebuke you before all:

“Those who sin, rebuke before all, so that the rest also may fear” (1 Timothy 5:20 MKJV).

“Speak these things, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you” (Titus 2:15 MKJV).

We rebuke you with the Lord’s authority, but you despise us for it, denying our right (and duty) before God to rebuke and judge. We have that authority, however, and we will not permit you to despise us.

Know that we are not speaking in vain. If you don’t know now, you will soon. As you presume to warn others, so we warn you. While you put the Lord’s coming into the future - “Are you ready for Him?” - we say to you that we are here in Him and you have been found unready and wanting.

He has indeed sent us to judge you.

You have a problem with that because you have been taught faulty interpretations of such passages as James 4, Romans 2, and Matthew 7. You think to have learned not from flesh and blood, but from the Lord. Are you not aware of your contradiction as you believe to be hearing and passing along messages from the Lord to others, but deny that it is possible for us to have revelation from Him regarding you? If He can speak to one, why not to another (even as you say)? And if we are speaking from Him, it is not man’s, but God’s, testimony.

Where do you have the right to judge us for judging, Jan? You reject the whole counsel of God in the Scriptures, choosing what you please to serve yourself. What does Jude quote Enoch saying about judgment?

“Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment against all, and to convict all the ungodly among them about all their ungodly deeds which they have committed impiously, and about all the harsh words which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him” (Jude 1:14-15 EMTV).

But you don’t think you are ungodly or that we are godly, do you? You also think that these words of Enoch pertain to the future when there shall be some climactic, cataclysmic, corporal coming of the Lord, with observation. You are so wrong. Enoch says that the Lord “comes,” not “will come.” His coming is here and now, present tense, because He is Present Tense:

(24) I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for His Body, which is the Church,
(25) of which I became a minister according to the stewardship of God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of God,
(26) the mystery which has been hidden from the ages and from generations, but now was revealed to His saints.
(27) To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Is Jesus Christ here, or is He not? If He is inside of us, bringing us into the presence and glory of God, why should we be looking up into the sky for Him? How much closer can He get than living inside of you - if you are among those who believe, obey, and receive His Spirit, as He promised?:

“And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever, the Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you. I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you” (John 14:16-18 MKJV).

Receiving the Comforter - the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit (all One and the same God) - is the Lord’s coming, according to His Own Words. The Spirit of Truth dwelled with the disciples in the Person of Jesus Christ, and when Christ was raised from the dead, He returned in the Spirit to dwell in them forever, something He could not accomplish while He was in the flesh - “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Read The Baptism in the Holy Spirit.)

Many who profess to believe in Christ walk around as you do, Jan, in gloom and doom, not because the earth is evil and getting worse (which it is), but because you do not have the Spirit of Christ as you think. The wrong you perceive in the world, which vexes you, is not the problem. Your problem is you. The beam is in your eye.

Rather than walking around with long faces, the Lord told His disciples (those who believed on Him) that His physical departure was a good thing for them:

“But I tell you the truth, it is expedient for you that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you. But if I depart, I will send Him to you” (John 16:7 MKJV).

So the Lord is now with us forever, joining us to Himself from within and making us new creatures by His Spirit:

“So that if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 MKJV).

And thus is fulfilled His promise: “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen” (Matthew 28:20 EMTV).

But you don’t believe or see Him with us. The disciple Philip asked Jesus to show him the Father, and Jesus replied:

“He who has seen Me has seen the Father. And how do you say, Show us the Father?” (John 14:9 MKJV)

As the Father was in the Son, and those who saw the Son saw the Father, so the Son is in us, and those who see us see the Son.

How is it, then, that you talk about the Son coming soon, when He has already come in the flesh, having taken residence in earthen vessels?

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:7 MKJV).

You don’t see His power and excellence. Because you don’t receive Christ coming in us, you see only your own corruption that the Light reflects back onto you. Therefore, John’s words apply to you:

“By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God; and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the antichrist you heard is coming, and even now is already in the world” (1 John 4:2-3 MKJV).

We are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, because the Spirit of God dwells in us.

“But if anyone has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His” (Romans 8:9 MKJV).

Not only are you not His, Jan, but you don’t hear Him speaking, and you walk in the spirit of error:

“We are of God. He who knows God hears us. The one who is not of God does not hear us. From this we know the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error” (1 John 4:6 MKJV).

We have seen your spirit and countenance, your pride and boisterous flesh, your ignorance of the Kingdom, your error, and your great need of correction (judgment). If you receive His judgment by us, you’ll do well; if not, you’ll perish like those you presume to warn, whether in America or anywhere else, even though you say many true things.

We can truthfully say, with and in the Lord, “I can do nothing of My own self. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of the Father Who has sent Me” (John 5:30 MKJV).

We can also say with Him, to you, “You judge after the flesh, I judge no one. And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I and the Father Who sent Me” (John 8:15-16 MKJV).

How can we say so? He said we could (and must): “As My Father has sent Me, so I send you.”

You have learned from religious and self-righteous men, who fear righteous judgment. Why do they fear it? Because they are not right with God, though they may think they are, as do you.

There is a righteous judgment His saints exercise, however:

“Do not judge according to sight, but judge righteous judgment” (John 7:24 MKJV).

Where do you have the right to judge us for judging, Jan?

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14 MKJV).

You have not received His Spirit, or you would know whereof we speak. You would not, and could not, write the letter you have written to us if you knew these things. You walk by your own imaginations.

You refuse to consider that we can see you as you are, as God sees you. We are not judging according to carnal sight, but according to His gift of discernment, given to all those who have received His Spirit:

“But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one” (1 Corinthians 2:15 MKJV).

Does not the apostle Paul speak both of himself and of the saints to whom he ministered about judging? Are you so unfamiliar with Scripture? Sure you are.

“For what is it to me to also judge those who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But God judges those who are outside. Therefore put out from you the evil one” (1 Corinthians 5:12-13 MKJV).

Now whether you are inside or outside, it doesn’t matter now. The time has come for your judgment, and we judge you.

You say, “Every man is a liar and God is the truth.” Yes to both. Moses was a man, however, and though called a liar by the gainsayers, he spoke the truth, and those in faith knew it. The same can be said for so many, including John the Immerser, Paul the apostle, and Jesus Christ Himself.

But you really don’t know the difference between the truth and falsehood. You have heard nonsense on your bed, as with Mary Baxter, and now you promote her, a liar - one who has no truth in her. She is a vile woman to say and do the things she says and does in His Name.

God can indeed cause an ass to speak, but He doesn’t make asses to lie. The one time He did cause an ass to speak, it spoke truth, and wicked Balaam, like you, didn’t believe her and nearly perished for it. But you believe Mary Baxter, a liar, by whom God does not speak and who blasphemes the Name and Character of Jesus Christ. That is because liars are believed by liars. Believing her, you’ll perish. Be assured, you have been receiving your counsel from flesh, not from the Spirit of God.

Now you ask a naughty question: “Would you recommend yourselves as absolutely infallible?”

Now we ask you a decent question: Must man be infallible to speak the truth of God? Were the prophets and apostles infallible to speak, teach, admonish, rebuke, reprove, and judge? Your question is rhetorical and clever to you, and sarcastic and wicked to us and all those who know the Lord.

You ask another equally wicked question (in that you don’t believe we can answer it in the affirmative): “Have you been anointed to expose Baxter?”

We solemnly declare to you that we are indeed anointed to expose Baxter and many others besides her, not because we are better, but bettered, in Christ. She knows she does wickedly, and one day all will know it, including you, even as the Lord has promised:

“For nothing is secret that shall not be revealed; nor secret which shall not be known and come to be revealed” (Luke 8:17 MKJV).

Where will you be, then, in your unrepentant heart, with your ignorant, insulting, and sarcastic questions, when they are answered to vindicate us?

You say you have nothing to lose? We say otherwise. You have your life to lose, which life you have thus far elected to retain (though you say otherwise), shunning the cross of Christ you claim to proclaim.

But we have good news for you, Jan. Your time will come for repentance from your sin and yourself – “every man in his order.” You will come to abhor your ways when He reveals Himself to you, and you’ll know that He has come and faithfully spoken to you today as a friend, for your sake. For now, He has been your enemy, showing Himself froward to the froward.

We have written you to the end that you one day be granted the gift of repentance and of the Spirit, your understanding quickened to receive and be delivered from your darkness and error. Until then, you show yourself the proud spiritual fool and encourage others in error, even as did Balaam, who loved the wages of unrighteousness - financial reward being but one form of them; power over men and glory of them being others.
