Introduction                              Table of Contents PDF Version PART EIGHT– Day 888 to Victory The Third Dimension (cont.) (More of) The Feast of PENTECOST Particle - Carnal and Spiritual Love Sean and my wife, Marilyn, talked of how much and in what way they loved each other, a way, Marilyn declared, I'd never known. Yet I didn't see their love for each other or for anyone else. I have long preached that the love the world talks about, the love of romance, sentiment, and feeling, is not the true or highest love to which God calls us and in which we must all walk at the cost of any other kind, such as love of family and friendship. To fall short of the highest love is to fall short of God, His glory, and His Kingdom. The Greeks had specific words for these two loves, one being “phileo,” a love those in the world are capable of having for one another, it being predominantly a love of emotion and feelings. The other is “agape,” the spiritual love no person possesses without the grace of God. This love is one of unselfish will for another. It is not one of feelings or sentiment, but one of determination, a matter of will. The agape love is not reactive only, but proactive. Satan and his children have phileo (they can do no better), but God and His children deal in the realm of agape. I noted how Jesus was somehow different after the resurrection toward His disciples than before. After the resurrection, He seemed more distant or almost detached. Yet His Spirit, ...

Page 8 PART NINE - Signs of New Times (cont.) Particle - Letter to My Mother and Sister in the Flesh I received some understanding of my life's dealings and relationship with my mother and sister and decided to write them: TO: Anne Hafichuk Ron and Barb Hrehirchuk All others concerned March 2, 2001 I have borne witness to all of you of the Lord Jesus Christ, in God's idea of perfection (obviously not yours or mine), in my frailty or what the apostle Paul called the "foolishness of preaching." As with the apostle Paul and all other saints, I know that in myself, that is, in my flesh, "dwells no good thing." That is the way it is. Nevertheless, Paul preached in spite of his infirmity, sent by God to do so, to bear witness to unbelievers. There were those who believed the Gospel and many more who didn't. Jesus declared that those nearest of kin to His disciple would be his foes. He declared that a prophet is not recognized in his own country. So it has been between you and me. From the day I believed, 28 years ago, you have not believed, but have opposed and shunned me till now. You have laid all blame for the break and lack in our relationship squarely on me and have rejected all accountability for yourselves. I've tried to tell you that the Lord has apprehended me and given me to know the truth, that you haven't known the truth, and that you don't know it now. I've tried many times to make amends, if perchance there was faltering or unfairness or sel...

Page 7 PART THREE– Israel to Bernalillo (cont.) Particle – Beals Apologize Art and Doreen returned within a few weeks to apologize to us for their behavior. Doreen did all the talking because, contrary to their religious doctrine of women not wearing “that which pertaineth to a man,” she wore the pants in the family. Concerning women and their legs, they believed women could “cover” their legs with see-through pantyhose or stockings, and thus wear dresses that would show much of their legs that were theoretically or technically covered. So, as Doreen sat in the sofa chair across from me, talking to us, with her legs crossed, one could see two-thirds of the way up her thigh. But she covered her legs with hosiery! As I was listening to her apology, I thought, “I wish I could say something to them about their contradictions, but there's no talking to them.” Their apology wasn't born of genuine repentance. They were just trying to remove the self-incurred tarnish from their religious image. They had been exposed even more than her “covered” legs - quite naked actually, yet unchanged. They weren't capable of genuine change for the better. The apology they gave to cover their nakedness was as revealing as her pantyhose. Nevertheless, I told her that we didn't hold anything against them, forgiving them. They immediately left, having “done their duty,” just as I had expected. I'm sure they went away dissatisf...
