Setting the Record Straight

Laverne Lewycky responded to A Curse on the Betrayal of Canada:

Hi Victor:

Praise the Lord that we live in a country where we still can share our views as you have shared yours. With all due respect, as a Christian who has studied and taught ‘parliamentary democracy’, I am afraid that the premise you are suggesting is not really totally accurate. I am afraid that in addition to praying for those in authority as the Bible says in Timothy, I really see many spiritual biblical lessons that Canadians and Christians can learn. Here are some biblical thoughts for your consideration.

Humility is a virtue. Too bad Harper never took the advice of even Conservative Christian writers like Lloyd Mackey about collaboration. Mackey even wrote a book about that on Harper. His alternative chosen provocations of the opposition remind me of two significant passages of scripture. Firstly, his boasting that he would never be as stupid as Joe Clark was something that is now coming to haunt him. Pride comes before a fall. James warns about that. Proverbs has multiple passages on pride. Satan’s downfall was pride. We have two old testament prophets who delineate that for us. Pride even keeps many people from accepting Jesus Christ as saviour. It is disheartening to see that an ‘evangelical Christian’ showed less integrity that someone from a non-evangelical tradition. We Christians need more than head knowledge. We need to walk humbly (lest we falter), love mercy and do justly. Secondly, we can read about Solomon’s son who as a successor failed to consider the advice of the elders but instead listened to his aggressive peers which resulted in the dividing of the kingdom of Israel and its ultimate demise. Some spiritual seed thoughts for you to ponder, eh?

God bless. Have a great week. I am glad that when Christ comes He will set all things right. Maranatha.

Laverne Lewycky

Victor’s and Paul’s replies:

Hi Laverne,

I am glad you wrote; it gives me the opportunity to clarify some things, address others, and give you some food for thought as well. Allow me to go through these matters according to the order of your letter.

Yes indeed, we are free to express ourselves thus far, somewhat, in this country, certainly more so than in others. We see our freedom eroding, however. Take Larry Spencer, for example (shut down by Harper and his executive, I suppose?); take Ezra Levant for another. He lost his business, the Western Standard of Calgary (formerly the Alberta Report, published by the Byfields) and has legal burdens continuing, simply by expressing himself in the name of freedom of speech against those who would shut it down to hide the evil of their religious ideology in action.

How did this happen? Partly because of Islam invading our society to take away our rights and using “useful idiots” like the Human Rights Commission with ignorant chairs that do not know their right hand from their left, yet having awesome power, while the accused has nothing. Any one of us can be called up at any time, at our expense and not at the plaintiff’s. What a departure from equality, freedom, and justice for the common citizen, while pretending or presuming to do the opposite!

What are you prepared to say about homosexuality or Islam today, Laverne? Are you free to speak your mind, even though you would be speaking Biblical truth? I don’t think so. Many are living in fear. Politicians and the media back right off, cringing for their lives, reputations, and careers.

There is hardly a day goes by that I am not aware of the fact that there are a million Islamist suiciders out there that are just biting at the bit to kill us for what they consider my blasphemy against Allah, Muhammad, and the Koran. By God’s grace, we will not permit ourselves to be dominated by them, fear, or the Devil. We are free to speak, knowing the Lord has His hedge of protection about us. Lois Benson had a word of prophecy from the Lord for me not long ago: “Because you are willing to draw the sword, the sword will not be drawn on you.”

No doubt about it – freedom of religion and speech are not for the truth, but for every error. Robinson once tabled a bill in the House to condemn the Bible as hate literature. You want hate literature? Try the Koran!

They also call those who simply believe and obey the Koran, Muhammad, and Allah “extremists.” The truth is that if all Muslims were faithful to their Koran, they would be out there killing and pillaging at every opportunity. But they play their cards, waiting patiently (sometimes not so patiently) for their opportune times, not making moves unless they perceive to have the advantage. Still, they are committed to an Islamic world. Are you free to speak against their diabolical designs and notions? Have you done so publicly? If not, why not? Could it be that you are not free to do so in our free country?

Mr. Manning and I had some correspondence. He stated that he could not bring up Jesus Christ in the House of Commons because it is a secular institution. You can see my reply to him in If Not Now, When?

How is it members of the House can table bills to legislate the Word of God out of the country, yet members are not permitted to mention Him in a favorable manner? How is it His creatures have the right in “secular institutions” to avoid, ignore, contemn, and even eliminate Him, when they owe their very breath to Him? How is it He and His servants have no right in the formal institutions of men to so much as whisper His Name, much less bring glory to Him? How is it we have the right to exclude Him from any portion of His creation?

And how is it that those who name His Name abide by such diabolical precepts of a world that lies in wickedness? For shame! Oh, but we Christians are to be “wise as serpents and harmless as doves,” aren’t we? We mustn’t offend! We must, “as much as is possible, be at peace with all men.” We must be patient, gentle, and understanding toward all, for His sake. We mustn’t mention His Name, for His sake!

More than once, we have been eliminated from the internet by those who have complained against us. They were not required to give their names and we were not given opportunity to identify and face our accusers or defend ourselves. The ISP’s were simply permitted by whatever authorities (or lack thereof) to avoid any conflict and protect their interests, at our cost, because we spoke the Truth in Christ, Whom we serve and on Whose behalf we write and preach. How free is that?

I don’t know to what premise you refer that suggests inaccuracy on my part. I wish you would spell it out. We have not questioned the right under law of parties to form coalitions, and we have not said (or thought) that people are wrong by doing so, morally or otherwise, if that is what you are wondering. I would prefer that you were direct with me, rather than diplomatic. It saves on head scratching; I really don’t have all that much hair left in that area. Yes, I can scratch my forehead, or tug on my ear or nose, but why not just tell me?

As for the curse, beyond Parliamentary law, you only need to go to our Notice Board (please do, and allow me to thus reply to your objections or misgivings about my stance in these matters). There you will find many aspects covered that you have either raised here or thought about.

For example, we are and have been praying for those in authority, and God has led us in what we are doing. In prayer, we have learned His will in this matter, and we have cursed the making of that coalition because it was forged in lies and false motives, which God hates; therefore did He curse it. And has He not? Where has it gone? Even the chief instigator, Bob Rae, was not able to achieve his selfish ambitions in his devices.

Does God curse? Yes, He does! Does He give it to His servants to curse? Yes, He does! For full, indisputable proof of these, again, go to our Notice Board. And, Laverne, I would like to hear what you have to say, in all honesty and forthrightness, for or against what we say. Will you please do that?

Nobody here is praising Harper or any other as a virtuous man or woman of any party. We know better. That is why we have written:

For Whom Do We Vote?
Why Do We Vote for Jesus Christ?
How Do We Vote for the Lord Jesus Christ?

Now, as a believer in Jesus Christ, why would you not follow that counsel? I once thought the JW’s were foolish for not voting, until I realized that while we claimed to be putting our trust in the Lord, we were still putting it in men, in political leaders, as though they could make things right. The Bible directly, forthrightly contradicts that fallacious notion altogether.

Was Satan’s downfall pride? Jesus said he was as he was from the beginning, a liar and murderer (Genesis 3:1; John 8:44). Some say Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 personify Satan, and others say those passages refer to him. Do they? Read Diabolical Doctrine: Satan Was Once a Good Being.

If what you believe is true, what was the serpent doing in the Garden with Eve? When was Satan supposed to have been cast out of Heaven? Before creation? If so, what was he doing in Heaven in the days of Job, among the sons of God, no less, with no alarm bells ringing – nobody surprised or dissenting?

You make reference to Rehoboam and his pride, and you are right. But you seem to suggest that if he would only have corrected himself, Israel would not have divided. Is that so? What about this?:

“And answered them after the advice of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add thereto: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. So the king hearkened not unto the people: for the cause was of God, that the LORD might perform His Word, which He spake by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat” (2 Chronicles 10:14-15 KJV).

Try reading The SIGN: The Book of Jonah, the Book of God to address some of the greatest errors of orthodox Christianity.

Laverne, I have news for you – the Lord is here to set things straight. That is why we speak. “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” He comes in His people, His Body. You, and almost all evangelicals, have the same error as did the Jews at the Lord’s coming in the flesh 2,000 years ago. They expected a physical, military, political hero to come, intervene, put down the earthly authorities by force (Rome at the time), and set them (the Jews) up as rulers over all. It didn’t happen, and that is not what happens now. There is no literal, physical return with similar results. “The Kingdom of God comes without observation.” Your common doctrine suggests otherwise based on carnal interpretations not in keeping with God’s ways or basic Scripture truths.

It is my conviction that yours is a faith of the head and not of a new, born again nature. That is not a putdown, Laverne; it is a heads-up, to serve you notice that there is much more for you to receive of God, if He so wills. There is much you could read on our site.

Don’t forget to get back to me on the alleged inaccuracies of what we have written against that specific coalition.

Victor

Hi Mr. Lewycky, Paul Cohen here.

We “met” when Victor contacted you a couple years ago and mentioned meeting me in Israel in 1979. The Lord has given me to work with Victor more recently, and much of what we do is published on thepathoftruth.com, a site with which you are familiar. Also, as we are involved in all things together, I participate in the earthly business the Lord gave to Victor, harvesthaven.com. Regarding this second site, have you “been to” the farm yet? There is a lot more to it than just farming.

I am writing now because I red this most recent letter from you and have a couple thoughts to add to Victor’s reply.

You write: “Pride even keeps many people from accepting Jesus Christ as saviour.

If there is ever a notion that fosters pride rather than putting mankind in the proper mindset of humility that is commensurate with his station, it is the idea that people can “accept” Jesus Christ. Just think about it for a moment: How is it that the creature is in the position of deciding to accept his Creator? Doesn’t that put the creature in the driver’s seat, calling the shots as though he were the potter rather than the clay? Sure it does!

Aren’t the Scriptures clear that God is the One in charge, absolutely and completely, no different than a potter with the clay which he forms into the pot he desires? How can a pot say that it accepted its potter? Isn’t that absurd?

Yes, we have heard and have answered all the religious arguments to counter this, and you may add yours if you think we have not, after reading this letter and the links I will provide you. We have found Reality to be very different than men’s theorizing and theologizing, which are opposed by the Scriptures, just like the verses I have given you from Romans 9 prove.

The doctrine of “accepting” Christ as your Savior is a diabolical one because it comes under the banner of Christian teaching from the Bible, which makes people assume it represents godly humility and glorifies the Lord’s power and His role in our salvation. Meanwhile, as I have already stated, it does the very opposite. It glorifies man’s power and role in his salvation, which turns out not to be salvation at all! You are actually made proud about how humble you are to have accepted Christ and to confess Him before men. But are you actually confessing Christ? No; you are confessing your own righteousness and brand of religiosity.

That is the automatic fruit of the doctrine of “accepting” Christ, which cannot produce otherwise (an evil tree produces evil fruit), no matter how well-intentioned and sincere are those who believe and preach this gospel, because it is a false one. The apostle Paul said that anyone preaching a gospel different than the one revealed to him is accursed. That would also go for those believing it. That is why Paul used such strong language to warn believers, and phrased his warning in such a way to make it known that the false gospel could even come through one they thought to be a true minister of God. Satan comes as an angel of light.

If a person has the power to “accept” Christ, then he can affect his own conversion. If he can affect his own conversion, then he does not need or truly have Christ. In other words, there is a counterpart to those who are born by the will of God; there are those who are born of the will of the flesh and man (John 1:12-13).

If you are taught that you accepted Christ, and you did so by the will of man, then you can also do many other works in the Name of God. From the seed of this false gospel has grown a large tree with many branches. This is the false church that presents herself as the bride of Christ, but is actually the bride of Satan. Satan savours and represents the works of men.

You have bought into a false gospel. It has conferred on you a false humility. It is not the real thing. We can tell because God has given us the real thing in Himself, the Son of God and man, Jesus Christ. Far from making you humble, Mr. Lewycky, your gospel has made you sure and confident in the knowledge that you have gained by the sweat of your brow. The world may admire such, and agree with your assessments, but God does not see things your way. That which is highly esteemed with men is abomination in His sight.

You need to trash your whole “theology” and system, like Saul of Tarsus did his, by the grace of God. You need to be born again. Right now you are an enemy of the true gospel, no less than Saul of Tarsus was on the road to Damascus. You are even more so because Saul came as an enemy, without deceit, but you appear as a friend, so sincere are you in your deception and the appearance given by your moral uprightness.

I promised some writings, which I hope you will read. Regarding the false gospel and doctrine, read Diabolical Doctrine: “Accepting” Jesus Christ as Your Personal Savior.

Here is a correspondence on the matter: The False and Misleading Gospel of “Accepting” Jesus Christ.

Here is a section of writings on the related false teaching that man has a free will: Free Will.

And here is writing on the distinguishing factor between what is a work of God in a soul, and what is the work of man: The Mark of the Beast and the Seal of God.

I do not give you these things to convince or to condemn you, but to give you the truth that others have not been able to give you. Now is that glorious Day you mentioned when Christ sets all things right, so we speak with great plainness and assurance of hope in what the manifest Truth of God will accomplish.

Paul
