Some Thoughts Sparked by Easter

English – French

The name “Easter” is the name of the pagan goddess, known as Easter, Ishtar, or Ashtoreth, the “many-breasted one,” the goddess of sex, fertility, prosperity, fruitfulness, success, and happiness. Hence, people use bunnies and eggs to celebrate Easter, things prolific and fertile.

Did you know they had female priestesses and religious sexual orgies in honor of her, the “queen of Heaven”? Do you really want to be identified with these devilish origins and activities in any way? See what Jeremiah had to say about such practices in Jeremiah chapter 44. God hates mixture, you know; if you don’t, you will.

Many nominal Christian churches preach a Jesus of physical prosperity and fertility. Such is the Word-Faith doctrine – “Name it and claim it” – propagated by Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and countless other prosperity preachers. Such diabolical doctrines nurture a selfish attitude of giving to get (the “seed faith” doctrine made popular by Oral Roberts and proclaimed by thousands).

The world churches love and praise a god of comeliness. They lawlessly display forbidden images, depicting Jesus as a handsome man, when, truly, the Word of God by Isaiah describes Him quite differently (Isaiah 53:1-5). In spirit and essence, they preach Attractive Ashtoreth, the mythical many-breasted succulent sex beauty. It is another Jesus they worship, and they give His Name to a pagan deity. Thus, there is great confusion, which is the meaning of the words “Babel” and “Babylon.”

“[God] also said to me, ‘You turn again, and you shall see greater evils that they are doing. And He brought me to the opening of the gate of the LORD’s house, toward the north. And behold, women were sitting there, weeping for Tammuz” (Ezekiel 8:13-14 MKJV).

Lent happens to be the period of weeping for Tammuz 40 days, one day for each year he had lived. The parallels to the Lord’s life and events thereof are stunning, aren’t they (I speak tongue-in-cheek)? Yes, He was 40 days appearing and disappearing on earth after His resurrection, but He appeared to those who believed, and they were rejoicing, not weeping. Tammuz went to his grave and remained there. Not so with the Lord Jesus Christ.

The confusion and abominations don’t end there. While the Lord Jesus is the Lamb (a clean animal) of God, the “Christian” world celebrates Easter (supposedly celebrating the time of Jesus’ resurrection) with ham, the carcass of a pig (an unclean animal). Subtly, the world calls the Messiah, “the pig of God.” It was a boar that killed the pagan god, Tammuz (some god!), and so they eat a pig in his honor at the event named after his mother, Semiramis –Ishtar or Easter.

It is an intentional insult to Jews to be eating ham, a meat God declared unclean for His people, at Passover. In contempt of the Jews, Gentiles partake. Why do nominal Christians despise the Jews so much that they would be willing to malign Jesus Christ in the process, the One they presume to worship?

It’s hard to comprehend how intelligent, educated people fall prey to this nonsense. But such is the power and mystery of iniquity. Truly, the masses are insanely stupid by sin. It has nothing to do with carnal intelligence.

Paul the apostle said of the flesh and blood Jews, “Concerning the Gospel, they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election, they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:28-29).

I don’t care who you are; if you despise the Jews, you despise the fathers – Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – whom you deem to be men of faith and of God. Indeed, you despise God, Who has long ago determined not to cast them off forever. (Dare read the books of the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel for yourself; read Romans chapters 9, 10, and 11 if you insist on the New Testament.)

Hitler, where are you now? Babylon, where are you? Alexander the Great and your empire, mighty Rome, where are you? What happened to you, Eastern Europe? What is now happening to you, Western Europe? Are you not in great turmoil? You slaughter the Jews and expect to get away with it? Now you have them replaced by murderous Muslims who take everything away from you!

How you reap and will reap for what you’ve sown and still sow!

And where will you be when all is said and done, Arabs and Muslims who vow the destruction of Jews and Israel? Will you fare any better than Hitler? Don’t count on it. Truly, count otherwise; it is guaranteed. It is written: Those who curse the Jews curse themselves. (Read A Word to the Enemies of Israel.)

It had been my conviction that Canada was in dire trouble because it shut the doors to the Jews who sought a haven during World War II when the Nazis sought to destroy them. But not many years ago, there was a prayer movement in Canada wherein a group of believers confessed this nation’s sins against Israel and asked forgiveness of God for what Canada had done half a century ago. I believe God heard their confession and honored their public repentance, not because of any righteousness on their part, but for His Name and glory.

Today we have Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his Conservative government standing strong on Israel’s side, something we’ve not ever seen in Canada before. This is despite intense international pressure and pressures within Canada. Sometimes Canada is the only nation to stand with Israel. For this, as Mr. Harper acknowledges, he has had to pay a price, but I believe God will bless and keep Canada for his stance. I know He is doing so. Indeed, God is blessing Canada by giving us a government willing to identify with Israel in its great trials in this last great day of history. We stand in awe.

The Lord Jesus Christ, raised from the dead three days after being offered up on the Passover as the Lamb of God, will yet save His people, as promised.

“And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, ‘There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob. For this is My covenant with them, when I have taken away their sins’” (Romans 11:26-27 MKJV).
