Wishing Peace on “Scripture-Benders”

Hi Guys,

I came by your site and read around a little. I have some questions about your views on hell.

It seems that you suggest that people don’t actually go there, or if they do, it’s not eternal. Or that it doesn’t exist at all.

I just wonder how you might reconcile this assertion with Revelation 14:9-11

9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive[his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured outwithout mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: andthey have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”

Also, I notice that the greek term for “for ever and ever” used here is the same term as in Rev 10:6, describing God who “lives for ever and ever” so if that term means something less than eternal, than that term also applies to God Himself.

yes?

It just appears to me that hell does exist. that it is for satan and his angels, and at least the people who take the mark share his fate.

would you agree? not trying to cause a problem, jusy hoping for discussion.

shalom,

Hi Samuel,

Take your time and read, The State and Fate of Hell and The True, Scriptural Meanings of “Forever,” “Everlasting,” and “Hell”. These will correct the false premises from which you’ve posed several questions.

There’s more in The Restitution of All Things – check there first before posing more questions on “hell stuff.”

I think I will pass. You guys are the biggest scripture-benders I have seen in a long time.

You have spun everything around to suit you, just like those you accuse.

I will leave you to your fates.

So you’re wishing peace on “Scripture-benders,” Samuel? Our God says there is no peace to the wicked.

“But the wicked are like the troubled sea, which cannot rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, says my God, to the wicked” (Isaiah 57:20-21 MKJV).

That’s you – in total contradiction, subject to the mire and dirt cast up in your corrupt mind. And now, as the wicked are wont to do, you flee.

“The wicked flee when no man pursues; but the righteous are bold as a lion” (Proverbs 28:1 MKJV).

The Sour Cynic Doesn’t See Truth
From: Wayne To: The Path of Truth Sent: Tuesday, November 01, 2016 7:06 AM Subject: Skeptical/cynical Christians I am a skeptical, cynical Christian. I was raised Catholic, but in my search for the truth and through “seek ye first the kingdom of God” I attended many different denominations.  In college I was taught from the word of God by a boss who is a member of the Church of Christ during a summer job. He taught Gods plan of salvation from the bible, Acts 2:38-40, Mark 16:16-18, John 3 (being born again).  I was baptized in the name of the father, son, and Holy Ghost. Years later I was taught in the Pentecostal Church the need to be baptized again “in the name of Jesus” and to receive the Holy Spirit by speaking in tongues as evidence as the early disciples had on the day of Pentecost.  I’ve related all this  to get to my point. I read your views about Francis Chan being a false teacher and felt compelled to respond. My response is not over the merits of your viewpoint or whether or not Francis Chan is a false teacher. My only comment is that it seems that most Christians, and most leaders, Pastors, preachers, reverends, etc, of every Christian denominational and non denominational church think/believe  that they have it all figured out and know the “truth” and how all the verses of the bible fit together and how they are to be applied in our daily life/walk.   Since all are convinced and strongly believe to their core that they have the truth they obviously ar...
Do We Seek to Kill or to Save?
From: Chanah To: Victor Hafichuk Sent: Tuesday, March 29, 2016 6:58 AM Subject: shalom I can’t believe it I also where in Revivim Israel in the same year  Rabin where killed, I knew I was going to live in a Kibbutz but where I did not know that Sunday the day Rabin where killed one of the Pastors of my then church just before the service where over got up and said this words, I will take you just like Abraham out into the desert and show you miracles and lo and behold Beit Sheva the same place Abraham went to was where I ended up, and yes miracles happen. Nobody in the church knew I was going to Israel, being a Christian in Revivim is not welcomed at all, but nevertheless we where about 5, 1 from Norway, 1 from Switzerland, 1 from S. Africa, 1 from Denmark and also a little redheaded Jewish lady from the USA, the 1 from S. Generational Curses and Reversing Them
From: Raul To: The Path of Truth Sent: Tuesday, June 14, 2016 11:06 AM Subject: Quick Question. . Hello, I wanted to ask if you believe in generational curses? Some doctrines say Jesus finish e everything in the cross,  so there is no generational curses for a new born in Christ. Can you explain ? I am very confuse because i myself felt at times as if i had generational curses from my ancestors. My life is not success in Jesus and don't understand why. Thanks,  and God bless.  From: Paul Cohen To: Raul Cc: Victor Hafichuk Sent: Monday, June 27, 2016 7:41 AM Subject: Re: Quick Question A man named Felix recently asked us about the same topic, Raul. Here is his letter:  From: Felix To: The Path of Truth Sent: Sunday, May 29, 2016 8:50 AM Thanks for your nice piece, l have understood that God curses come as a result of being disobedient to him, that is not obeying His Laws. But is there anything like generational curse? Because when u read 2kings14:5-6 it says that it is written in the book of law that parents are not to be put to death for crimes committed by their children and children are not to be put to death for the crimes committed by their parents; a person is to be put to death only for a crime he himself has committed. Jer.31:29-30 Eze.18:1-32 Job.21:19-20 These three chapters in the bible also state it clear that nobody is punished cos of the sins of his/her parents but everyone will be judged according to his/her deeds so where...
