Troubled by Sin and Self-Righteous Burdens

Hi Victor,

I believe I am on a wrong path. I disobeyed the Lord for 25 yrs in that time He wanted me to preach the gospel in Jamaica publicly. I feel like I have been cut of from Him because He told me not to have phone or oral sex with my wife and I did. Since doing so I have been having a lot of blasphemous thoughts and can’t seem to pray or read the word of God. I think about suicide a lot and most times I am sad. If you can talk my # is XXX-XXX-XXXX.

There is more to my situation I really need help….I don’t want to go to hell.

Gary

Hi Gary,

You needn’t worry about going to hell – you are already in hell. Hell is the absence of light and fellowship with God in the truth. With Him there is hope, but in hell there is no hope, which is what you describe in your letter.

You didn’t let the Lord down by not preaching the Gospel in Jamaica. He wasn’t putting that burden on you – you didn’t even know the true Gospel. You just violated your own religious conviction and conscience. You can forget about it. You’ve been walking in your own righteousness and power, not by faith. This too describes hell.

If you were walking by faith, you’d have repented of the phone and oral sex and you would have had the Lord’s forgiveness, not that there wouldn’t have been repercussions. Nevertheless, you would have peace on a renewed walk of faith and you wouldn’t be thinking of killing yourself (On the Question of Suicide).

You don’t need to talk to us right now, Gary. What you need is to read our site, starting with teachings such as:

Soak in the truth. You need to hear and believe the Word of God. In Him alone is hope, which comes with real repentance and faith.

Wives Don’t Take Over Their Husband's Ministries

From: Jennifer To: The Path of Truth Sent: Saturday, November 19, 2016 3:24 PM Subject: Geri McGeePaul,I was wondering what made you say that Geri was assuming the role as a lead pastor of a church? And being an authority over them? Also we are able to cast off demons and cast out the scripture tells us that we are.  And we can rebuke Satan in Jesus name and say get behind us as we can do all things through Christ and he said all that he did even greater things we shall do. I am not sure I agree with your interpretation and judgement of Geri.  You may be assuming things incorrectly about her, and also misinterpreting the scriptures in the areas you condemned her for.We are called to be ministers of God and to tell everyone, that doesn't mean she is a lead pastor of a church, but she does show obedience of sharing truth and experience in her walk with God and the wisdom she gained.  She does believe and use the gifts of the spirit and stand on Gods truth when he said we would do greater things than he and if we have faith we can move mountains and we also can cast out demons.   So I am not sure I agree with your rash judgement of her.JenFrom: Paul Cohen To: Jennifer Cc: Victor Hafichuk Sent: Wednesday, November 23, 2016 7:53 AM Subject: Re: Geri McGeeJen, you ask: “I was wondering what made you say that Geri was assuming the role as a lead pastor of a church? Leaving the Catholic Church for Reality

From: Daisy To: Victor Hafichuk Sent: Friday, March 04, 2016 6:43 PM Subject: TestimonyHello Victor,My name is Daisy from Los Angeles Ca. I would like to thank you for sharing your testimony. I just left the Catholic Church and I am getting a lot of grief from friends, family and church. I have 2 children that we're getting ready to do their first communion in May. After 2 years of going to catechism class, I took them out a month ago. I have been dealing with lots of guilt for doing that but in my heart I know that I am doing the right thing. I am now attending a Christian apostolic church. I am having a hard time reading the bible and I pray that I will someday understand it. Again I thank you for sharing your testimony. It really helped me and gave me hope.God bless!! Daisy=From: Victor Hafichuk To: Daisy Sent: Saturday, March 05, 2016 10:18 AM Subject: FW: TestimonyGood to hear from you, Daisy! The Lord is our Present Help in Need - always. He’s Faithful and True - always. He won’t let you down when you set your heart on and trust in Him.You have no cause whatsoever before God, the saints, prophets and angels to feel guilty about pulling out of the Catholic scene. Truly, God’s counsel by the Scriptures are clear that we need to come out of false religion, out of Babylon. The Catholic Church is about as false a representation of Jesus Christ as it gets. If you know to come out and don’t do it, that’s when shame and guilt are justified and de...
