A Question about Salvation and Eternal Hell

Subject: Question about salvation

Hi The Path of Truth

I don’t know how to start so maybe I should explain my experiance with christians and my current beliefs and then ask a question. Basically I come from a family with a Jehovah’s Witness parents and a generic Christian parent. I then went to a bible study fellowship thing for a year and quit that in fury when they explained to us “how could a loving god not send people to eternal hellfire and torment”. Before I quit however I found a website called Bible-Truths.com written up by (your favourite I searched your website before hand) L.Ray Smith. What an amazing website this was where he taught that through judgement all men ever will come to salvation. To me the idea that any man would perish was unjust because many people have good reason to not believe in a good god especially when bible study fellowship teaches that a good god would burn everyone forever and ever. (A huge percentage of the world that has lived was definately not christian)

Anyway enough of that I saw in your correspondance with L.Ray Smith and on your website you’re not a universalist and you disagree with L.Ray on much but you still believe that all men will be saved and I don’t quite understand what you mean and your website has so much. I so badly want to believe that everyone ever will be saved even if they go through judgement and are brought kicking and screaming into eternal life for eternal punishment for much of the human populace is terrifying and not a world I would want to live in forever.

Thanks for your time

Deanington

Hi Deanington,

You ask:

I saw in your correspondance with L.Ray Smith and on your website you’re not a universalist and you disagree with L.Ray on much but you still believe that all men will be saved and I don’t quite understand what you mean and your website has so much.

I’d say we agreed with Ray on much, but his relationship with the Lord was the real issue – lacking on account of pride and bitterness, which did him in. That was a sad thing to behold. Of what use was Ray’s doctrine of universal salvation when he wasn’t being saved? We tried to help him.

Nevertheless, Ray will be fully reconciled to God through Jesus Christ and the Word of God we spoke to him. Praise God, His Word doesn’t return to Him void. He works judgment and correction not to be repented of.

So yes, you can believe that all will be saved, Deanington, but make sure to put your trust in the One Who can save you by exercising faith and obedience to Him.

Hebrews 4:1-3 MKJV
(1)  Therefore, a promise being left to enter into His rest, let us fear lest any of you should seem to come short of it.
(2)  For also we have had the Gospel preached, as well as them. But the Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
(3)  For we who have believed do enter into the rest, as He said, “I have sworn in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Keep reading our site to hear and learn more of the True Savior of all Men.

Paul

From: Natalia To: The Path of Truth Sent: Thursday, March 31, 2016 10:03 AM Subject: I have a question Hello dear brothers, I have been reading your website, as I stumbled upon it while trying to look for false prophets. I first want to say thank you for the work you put into it and how much time you dedicate to do all this. I just have one question, that has me rather desperate: what teacher is actually to trust nowadays? See, I'm a born again Christian for almost four years now and I only rely on the Bible and what it teaches, still I sometimes like to watch youtube videos for new insights and maybe guidance etc. I never fully followed them or "worshipped" the teachers if you know what I mean (some people actually do that, I saw people freak out totally listening to some Mega Church Pastors) as I have been able to identify false prophets with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ (praise God) and also your website, especially people that actually use Christ to advertise for themselves, which has me all... you know... being mad and stuff, because I detest such selfish behaviour and may God forgive them for their sins. But now I'm sort of like.... "OK, where are the ones I can actually believe and listen to?"  Do you happen to know any ministries or teachers that actually teach what the Bible tells us?  I would be very happy to receive any information on this. I am so tired of living in this world full of lies.  Thank you very much in advance and be blessed,...

An Addict's Salvation From Herself and the World
To: The Path of Truth Sent: Monday, July 25, 2016 4:19 AM Subject: May I join the chatroom discussion? Greetings brother Victor. A little about myself. I'm a 33 year old woman from Melbourne Australia. Just under 6 weeks ago I was saved. I was a self professed, very arrogant "atheist" with all manner of addictions the most immediately troubling in my life being cigarettes and marijuana . I was watching footage of the "Orlando shooting" and something deep inside me said " there is something very false about this". I believe God himself opened my eyes in a massive and awesome way. I have stopped smoking both cigarettes and marijuana without cravings, something which I never thought I'd accomplish! I've started reading Scripture starting from the Matthew, and life is changing everyday. I've lived with " mental illness"  (post traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety) all my life as a result of childhood sexual abuse, and other very traumatic events born of sin in my life and demonic influence which I am in desperate need of deliverance from. I live with my parents and a 21 year old sister and 18 year old brother, none of whom are believers and who have been very affected by my past life of sin . This is just a tiny part of my testimony I came across your site because while I've been reading Gods sweet word, I have been going to gotquestions.org in search of some understanding, and stumbled across your site and how it is fal...
