A Question about Salvation and Eternal Hell

Subject: Question about salvation

Hi The Path of Truth

I don’t know how to start so maybe I should explain my experiance with christians and my current beliefs and then ask a question. Basically I come from a family with a Jehovah’s Witness parents and a generic Christian parent. I then went to a bible study fellowship thing for a year and quit that in fury when they explained to us “how could a loving god not send people to eternal hellfire and torment”. Before I quit however I found a website called Bible-Truths.com written up by (your favourite I searched your website before hand) L.Ray Smith. What an amazing website this was where he taught that through judgement all men ever will come to salvation. To me the idea that any man would perish was unjust because many people have good reason to not believe in a good god especially when bible study fellowship teaches that a good god would burn everyone forever and ever. (A huge percentage of the world that has lived was definately not christian)

Anyway enough of that I saw in your correspondance with L.Ray Smith and on your website you’re not a universalist and you disagree with L.Ray on much but you still believe that all men will be saved and I don’t quite understand what you mean and your website has so much. I so badly want to believe that everyone ever will be saved even if they go through judgement and are brought kicking and screaming into eternal life for eternal punishment for much of the human populace is terrifying and not a world I would want to live in forever.

Thanks for your time

Deanington

Hi Deanington,

You ask:

I saw in your correspondance with L.Ray Smith and on your website you’re not a universalist and you disagree with L.Ray on much but you still believe that all men will be saved and I don’t quite understand what you mean and your website has so much.

I’d say we agreed with Ray on much, but his relationship with the Lord was the real issue – lacking on account of pride and bitterness, which did him in. That was a sad thing to behold. Of what use was Ray’s doctrine of universal salvation when he wasn’t being saved? We tried to help him.

Nevertheless, Ray will be fully reconciled to God through Jesus Christ and the Word of God we spoke to him. Praise God, His Word doesn’t return to Him void. He works judgment and correction not to be repented of.

So yes, you can believe that all will be saved, Deanington, but make sure to put your trust in the One Who can save you by exercising faith and obedience to Him.

Hebrews 4:1-3 MKJV
(1)  Therefore, a promise being left to enter into His rest, let us fear lest any of you should seem to come short of it.
(2)  For also we have had the Gospel preached, as well as them. But the Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
(3)  For we who have believed do enter into the rest, as He said, “I have sworn in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

A Foolish Intellectual Teaches Satan and Evil’s Purpose
From: Leslie To: The Path of Truth Sent: Tuesday, March 08, 2016 6:01 PM Subject: I like your thinking out of the box. In regards to good and evil, yes its true that God has provided both good and evil. But in understanding how this works we need to understand the omniscient nature of God. Logic would say that 1 Peter 1:20 prepares Christ as redeemer prior to the establishment of Adam and Eve , hence God new that there free choice would be to do evil. BUT just because God has the power to see into the future does not mean that He uses this in every  situation. He is our father who respectfully gives us the privacy of choice and only intervenes when we are at our most critical stage of sinning. For example, God could read the hearts of those of Sodom YET, agreed with Abraham that should there be a few good hearts the city would be spared.Q; What would be the point if God new all were evil?  Another point; When God created the spirit creatures known as gods or angels,  ( Proverbs 8 21-32 ) they evolved ( not made ) through many dispensations of choosing right from wrong .Then eventually chose to do right. This process may have taken one million years having been procured by more than one pair of Gods creatures. But to God time it is irrelevant.  Satan was one of many who went through this evolutionary process BUT decided to choose wrong and take a third of the angels with him. This was before Adam and Eve who were to be influenced by one of these fallen angels...
Confusion About Divorce and Adultery
From: Rob Sent: July 20, 2021 4:41 PM To: Victor Hafichuk Subject: Divorce and Adultery I am very concerned avout your teaching of divorce. Now, Paul said that not he but God commands that thise who are married - not those who are married in the Lord - do not divorce, but if they do, they are to remain unmarried. Paul addressed first the singletons and widows, then he addressed the married, but says his instruction is a command of God's, then he says, "Now to the REST (neither married nor unmarried) I say..." and he discusses if a man or woman has an unbelieving boyfriend or girlfriend with whom the person is in a serious emotional or sexual relationship with (fornication) in which children may be involved. The third group is being carefully catered to. These verses are for the church in Corinth, a godless city. People there would have had sexual partners and relationships as is the case today. Imagine that today I am a young woman living together with my boyfriend and am pregnant. I become a believer. Now I suddenly have a problem on my hands that I did not habe before. Paul does not command but gives an instruction that if my unbelieving boyfriend consents to live with me, we may live together (he may mean this formalizes the union), but if he doesn't (for example my being a Christian freaks him out and my behavior has changed a lot), then I am not bound to him. The fact that we have eother had sex or have had children does not bind us together. But this i...
Free Masons, So What?
From: Mervyn To: The Path of Truth Sent: Tuesday, May 24, 2016 6:12 AM Subject: to the editor  This man Veith that you speak of is the best information i have ever seen on the free masons  and there involvement in the christian churches of today , free masonry runes the world and this man revels that very well the hole religious world is wondering after the beast and they don’t even know it . I believe that God has rased up this man to reveal this to worn the sleeping christian world that they have been sold out. The only people that are offended by this man are people that are  free masons. I have a friend that was a mason and he is now a christian because of this man so just think things through when you say what you are saying about Veith. God has put this man where he is to worn the world of the tide of evil that is going to very soon come upon the world , our leaders are all high free masons,    what are they up to what are they doing why are they all masons . Walter greatly errs in major ways.  Read Seventh Day Adventism and The True Marks of a Cult. Also read Conspiracies – Who Cares?  We aren’t free masons and we ...
