A Question about Salvation and Eternal Hell

Subject: Question about salvation

Hi The Path of Truth

I don’t know how to start so maybe I should explain my experiance with christians and my current beliefs and then ask a question. Basically I come from a family with a Jehovah’s Witness parents and a generic Christian parent. I then went to a bible study fellowship thing for a year and quit that in fury when they explained to us “how could a loving god not send people to eternal hellfire and torment”. Before I quit however I found a website called Bible-Truths.com written up by (your favourite I searched your website before hand) L.Ray Smith. What an amazing website this was where he taught that through judgement all men ever will come to salvation. To me the idea that any man would perish was unjust because many people have good reason to not believe in a good god especially when bible study fellowship teaches that a good god would burn everyone forever and ever. (A huge percentage of the world that has lived was definately not christian)

Anyway enough of that I saw in your correspondance with L.Ray Smith and on your website you’re not a universalist and you disagree with L.Ray on much but you still believe that all men will be saved and I don’t quite understand what you mean and your website has so much. I so badly want to believe that everyone ever will be saved even if they go through judgement and are brought kicking and screaming into eternal life for eternal punishment for much of the human populace is terrifying and not a world I would want to live in forever.

Thanks for your time

Deanington

Hi Deanington,

You ask:

I saw in your correspondance with L.Ray Smith and on your website you’re not a universalist and you disagree with L.Ray on much but you still believe that all men will be saved and I don’t quite understand what you mean and your website has so much.

I’d say we agreed with Ray on much, but his relationship with the Lord was the real issue – lacking on account of pride and bitterness, which did him in. That was a sad thing to behold. Of what use was Ray’s doctrine of universal salvation when he wasn’t being saved? We tried to help him.

Nevertheless, Ray will be fully reconciled to God through Jesus Christ and the Word of God we spoke to him. Praise God, His Word doesn’t return to Him void. He works judgment and correction not to be repented of.

So yes, you can believe that all will be saved, Deanington, but make sure to put your trust in the One Who can save you by exercising faith and obedience to Him.

Hebrews 4:1-3 MKJV
(1)  Therefore, a promise being left to enter into His rest, let us fear lest any of you should seem to come short of it.
(2)  For also we have had the Gospel preached, as well as them. But the Word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
(3)  For we who have believed do enter into the rest, as He said, “I have sworn in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Keep reading our site to hear and learn more of the True Savior of all Men.

Ungodly Confidence From the Man of Sin

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:” Romans 8:1-3 KJV http://bible.com/1/rom.8.1-3.kjv Ok so seen ur argument on Todd White. I get curious if he is false prophet but I am curious what Bible u r reading from too. What is MKJV?  And why such harsh judgement of a set free man. He is not promoting God in a bold way. God shows up in miraculous ways when you r bold and you step out of your comfort zone. I seen it for myself. Holy Spirit can lead you into incredible situations.  God does love us all. We r all sinners but we can be saved by grace.  None of us are perfect til Heaven. I believe Todd White is definitely being used of God. Very rare to have bold people like him. Peter was greatly used of God and he denied Christ at one time. God can use any of us, Christian or not for his glory.  You sound like you r not set free yourself. I will be praying for you too. You’re spreading a false report about Rick Warren, which only muddies the water about the falsehood that’s already there in Rick’s teaching, adding to general confusion and ill will among men.  http://www.christianitytoday.com/edstetzer/2012/march/rick-warren-interview-on-muslims-evangelism-missions.html I’m not taking Rick’s word alone as the truth here. Confused by Calvin Doctrine
From: Jennifer To: The Path of Truth Sent: Sunday, October 16, 2016 10:19 PM Subject: Fw: John MacArthur, Calvinism Hello, My name is Jennifer and I am reaching out for some help because I am confused. Last February I came across a man on youtube talking about Christianity and the word-faith movement. I started watching his videos and I contacted him for some more information. I just felt a peace when listening to him speak. His name is Justin Peters and he runs a small ministry called the Justin Peter's Ministry. He responded and we discussed election and the area of pre-destination. I became very upset because I was under the impression that there is no biblical proof of pre destination and if there is, according to Justin Peter's,  why should anyone bother if their not in the selected group? He told me as for election, it is a very deep subject but it is thoroughly biblical. He said, "It need not be anything to fear, though. Take a deep breath, it's ok." He said there is an excellent DVD on this topic entitled, Amazing Grace: A History and Theology of Calvinism. He suggested the websites of John MacArthur and Susan Heck, and for me to get a John MacArthur Bible as soon as possible. He says he has this Bible himself. He kindly recommended a doctrinally sound church in my area of Texas. I was so relieved because I felt he intercepted just in time and I didn't see John MacArthur's name on any list for false prophets of today. Then one day I saw his name thrown in...
