Meandering Without the Shepherd

Subject: On Church Attendance

I came across your website this evening and I am intrigued.  I haven’t read all that I want to read as yet, but, I will meander through it.

I read your article regarding salvation.  I scanned the “false doctrines” articles.

Here’s my question.  I do not attend church regularly.  It is in my heart to do that so as to not avoid gathering with other like minded believers.  Unfortunately every church in my area either teaches eternal torment for the unbelieving or the church is liberal and accepts just about anything as doctrine.

I’m not looking for advice, but I would like your opinion.

Thank you,

Jim

Hi Jim,

Do sheep select their own pastures, food, and companions, or do their shepherds guide and manage them? If Jesus Christ is your Shepherd, then you can be certain He is leading you where you need to be, step by step, everything in its place and time.

“God sets the solitary in families: He brings out those which are bound with chains…”

But if you’re doing your own thing in His Name, then “the rebellious dwell in a dry land” (Psalms 68:6 KJV). Even though that land is populated by many and apparently prosperous.

“Righteous are You, O LORD, when I complain to You; yet I would plead my case before You. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all who are treacherous thrive? You plant them, and they take root; they grow and produce fruit; You are near in their mouth and far from their heart” (Jeremiah 12:1-2 ESV).

“Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it” (Matthew 7:13 MKJV).

Giving you not opinion, but the Word of God, which isn’t just advice – it’s His commandments with sure promise.

Calling Disease the Savior
From: Jeannie To: The Path of Truth Sent: Friday, March 25, 2016 7:04 PM Subject: Answer to a reply This is in reply to do Christians die from terrible diseases?  Yes they can die of terrible diseases because we do live in a fallen world full of sin.   Why does God allow these diseases?  I do not know but I do know that Christians who die of diseases appear to have grown even closer to God through faith.  Much closer than one who hasn't had a disease.  If a disease allows one to grow in faith and prepare them to make the Kingdom of God, then so be it.  Isn't it better to live a short life with a disease here on Earth to bring one closer to God to enter eternal heaven? Be careful how you answer for God.  There are lots of children who die of cancer.  Even babies and this is what God says about that. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14 2Co 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. Foolishly Defending Joseph Prince
"Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment" (Job 32:9) Name: B. Olsen  Subject: Joseph Prince I have been watching Joseph Prince for the last 8 months and I have never seen or heard him preach in the manner you describe on your website. He preaches the Grace, Love and Glory of Jesus Christ. I am 80 yrs. old and have been a Christian for 72 yrs. I have attended thousands of church services and have watched and heard thousands of sermons and I whole heartily disagree with you personal assessment of Joseph Prince. May God help your soul. You fell to false conversion in your youth by strong delusion because you didn’t have a love of the Truth. Only a hoary head found in righteousness isone of glory.Your years are a mark of shame and not of vindication. \/ From: B. Si Dios Está Con Nosotros, ¿Por Qué Aprender en Otro Lugar?
