Meandering Without the Shepherd

Subject: On Church Attendance

I came across your website this evening and I am intrigued.  I haven’t read all that I want to read as yet, but, I will meander through it.

I read your article regarding salvation.  I scanned the “false doctrines” articles.

Here’s my question.  I do not attend church regularly.  It is in my heart to do that so as to not avoid gathering with other like minded believers.  Unfortunately every church in my area either teaches eternal torment for the unbelieving or the church is liberal and accepts just about anything as doctrine.

I’m not looking for advice, but I would like your opinion.

Thank you,

Jim

Hi Jim,

Do sheep select their own pastures, food, and companions, or do their shepherds guide and manage them? If Jesus Christ is your Shepherd, then you can be certain He is leading you where you need to be, step by step, everything in its place and time.

“God sets the solitary in families: He brings out those which are bound with chains…”

But if you’re doing your own thing in His Name, then “the rebellious dwell in a dry land” (Psalms 68:6 KJV). Even though that land is populated by many and apparently prosperous.

“Righteous are You, O LORD, when I complain to You; yet I would plead my case before You. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all who are treacherous thrive? You plant them, and they take root; they grow and produce fruit; You are near in their mouth and far from their heart” (Jeremiah 12:1-2 ESV).

“Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it” (Matthew 7:13 MKJV).

Giving you not opinion, but the Word of God, which isn’t just advice – it’s His commandments with sure promise.

The more i check for answers the more confused i am. One person  said God doesn't relive anxiety.  What can I do to get healing. Thanks for helping me. God bless you.  From: Victor Hafichuk To: Shanu Cc: Paul Cohen Sent: Wednesday, July 20, 2016 6:47 AM Subject: Re: Healing Shanu, For now: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 MKJV).  “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3 MKJV).  Read and read at our site. Here’s why: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32 MKJV).  “Therefore if the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36 MKJV).  Read Acceptance. \/

We Have Proof, But You Deny It Exists
From: Todd To: The Path of Truth Sent: Thursday, February 04, 2016 8:09 AM Subject: False Teachers To whom it may concern, This has to be a joke right? I was shocked to see many of the names on your list that you have declared false teachers. In addition to this, there is no explanation or citations to support your claim. For instance, what makes Clayton Jennings or Francis Chan a false teacher? This must have taken an immense amount of time to put together and it begs the question, “what is the purpose?” I understand and agree that false teachers are to be exposed, but Matthew 25:31-46 makes it quite evident that this is far from what God is expecting from us.  Todd Student Pastor From: Paul Cohen and Victor Hafichuk To: Todd Sent: Wednesday, February 10, 2016 7:20 AM Subject: Re: False Teachers “Having eyes, do you not see? Your only hope is in becoming honest, because insisting you can see, here’s what the Lord says to you:  “If you were blind, you would have no sin. But now you say, We see. Therefore you...
