Meandering Without the Shepherd

Subject: On Church Attendance

I came across your website this evening and I am intrigued.  I haven’t read all that I want to read as yet, but, I will meander through it.

I read your article regarding salvation.  I scanned the “false doctrines” articles.

Here’s my question.  I do not attend church regularly.  It is in my heart to do that so as to not avoid gathering with other like minded believers.  Unfortunately every church in my area either teaches eternal torment for the unbelieving or the church is liberal and accepts just about anything as doctrine.

I’m not looking for advice, but I would like your opinion.

Thank you,

Jim

Hi Jim,

Do sheep select their own pastures, food, and companions, or do their shepherds guide and manage them? If Jesus Christ is your Shepherd, then you can be certain He is leading you where you need to be, step by step, everything in its place and time.

“God sets the solitary in families: He brings out those which are bound with chains…”

But if you’re doing your own thing in His Name, then “the rebellious dwell in a dry land” (Psalms 68:6 KJV). Even though that land is populated by many and apparently prosperous.

“Righteous are You, O LORD, when I complain to You; yet I would plead my case before You. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all who are treacherous thrive? You plant them, and they take root; they grow and produce fruit; You are near in their mouth and far from their heart” (Jeremiah 12:1-2 ESV).

“Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it” (Matthew 7:13 MKJV).

Giving you not opinion, but the Word of God, which isn’t just advice – it’s His commandments with sure promise.

Deluded to Believe Hell Is Never Ending
From: Dan To: The Path of Truth Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 2016 8:55 AM Subject: Mary Baxter Well I do have to say you have no idea about what the bible really says. You should really look up the judgements of God and you will then know that judgement is forever in hell. Why do you think it says death and hell are thrown into the lake of fire? What does fire do but burns continually, and it's not fire but actually liquid molten sulfur continually burning and it is true that the flesh continually comes back because that's the working of the tree of life except when those are in hell there will be continual torment.  And the bible does say that. Yes once in hell the judgement is set, there's no return from hell because we can never ever righteous except for God in us therefore no amount of judgement upon those in hell can ever make them righteous so therefore the torment will continue for ever. The bible says God will destroy both body and soul in hell. Please study things before you say things that are not true,  thankyou.  From: Paul Cohen and Victor Hafichuk To: Dan Sent: Sunday, May 22, 2016 7:02 AM Subject: Re: Mary Baxter “Why do you think it says death and hell are thrown into the lake of fire?” Because “the last enemy to be destroyed is death” (1 Corinthians 15:26 ESV). The Talk of a Religious Know It All
From: Javier To: The Path of Truth Sent: Thursday, July 14, 2016 11:35 AM Subject: Trinty diabolical doctrine? Dear Victor and Paul Cohen. How can you explain a Trinity as diabolical?  What about these and myriad other scriptures? John 10:30 - I and [my] Father are one. Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 1 Corinthians 8:6 - But to us [there is but] one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him. 2 Corinthians 13:14 - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, [be] with you all. Amen. ([The second [epistle] to the Corinthians was written from Philippi, [a city] of Macedonia, by Titus and Lucas.]) Matthew 3:16-17 - And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him..etc. (read the rest in the Bible) John 14:26 - But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. You can only send something in the name of another if you have the sent and the sender....that is more than one. The word ‘and’ is an addition of, otherwise an ‘or’ statement would be...

I am 24 year old young man doing the best I can to live in discernment and in wisdom. I’ve found out that there are much more false prophets and false teachers around the world than I first thought. It is my desire that I only listen to sermons from the pastors who are walking in the truth. From: Paul Cohen To: David Cc: Victor Hafichuk Sent: Thursday, September 15, 201...
