You ask Who that was, Ed. It was God – the One and Only LORD and Savior:
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one” (Deuteronomy 6:4 ESV).
“I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides Me there is no God” (Isaiah 45:5 ESV).
“Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I Am’” (John 8:58 ESV).
