Is Tithing for the Jews Only?

We talked to Billy on January 13th, An older man who was excited about our taking false teachers to task. I told him to spread the word – to share our writings on the net and wherever he can. I asked him if he’d like to receive our letters, to which he said, “yes.” This is the correspondence:

I have really enjoyed your information. Is there anyway that you would permit me to help you? If so how? We all need to know how to expose the false teachers of our age so that we can trace the path that they used to led man astray? Billy

Hi Billy, Paul here. I think I know what you mean, but rather than assume, please explain to me. ☺

Otherwise, how are things going? Have any ideas for us?

Bud, do you have anything specific to say about our posting on Russell Kelly or tithing section?

I am not Bud, I am Billy why are you sending me others emàils on non-inquisitiveness subjects?
I thought that we were going to study in detail False Teachings.
By the way, Paul, we are no longer under the tithings of the old Testament. We are under the Christian Dispensation.

Hi Billy,

This is the mailing list I told you about over the phone. These letters are often about false teachers and false teachings. Sometimes they address general questions that can help people with their walk of faith. Is this not okay with you? Would you like to be taken off the list?

It’s true we’re not under a formal law of 10% giving, but we’re certainly being lawful by honoring the Lord as He commands us yet:

1 Corinthians 9:9-11 MKJV
(9)  For it is written in the Law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox threshing grain.” Does God take care for oxen?
(10)  Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? It was written for us, so that he who plows should plow in hope, and so that he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope.
(11)  If we have sown to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

First of all I am not John, I am Billy and I did not propose the question. As you KNOW that Jesus was only talking to Jews.
Christians were only classified as christians after the day of Pentecost.
Paul, there is no indication of love in the Gospel of Matthew in all of the verses of Chapter 23. Jesus is declaring the lost state of the souls of the Scribes, Pharisees and Hypocrites. Jesus, allows to understand who he is referring to, by the description of their actions. Individuals who want to be recognised as some one who is important and to have special seatings protocols.
Jesus farther open our eyes to those who want to be called the following: Rabbi, Father, pastor, or even Pope.
The23 chapter is a warning chapter of those who will not be permitted to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Hi Billy,

I’ve taken you off the mailing list now.

In Matthew 23 Jesus was talking to the people who believed in God, the equivalent of those who profess to believe in Him today. Nothing has changed – the truth still applies as always. The love of God doesn’t appear as love to the carnal man, who follows the prince of this world and his love. Did you read the articles at the link we gave John?

How is our site insufficient that you need to look for something else? You ask about Creflo Dollar’s teachings, yet say you can’t find sound fellowship in Cape Town because all are preaching prosperity, his speciality. It's Not Too Late, Addict, for Repentance

From: Jordan To: The Path of Truth Sent: Tuesday, February 23, 2016 2:50 PM Subject: RepentanceIs there ever a point where we are too far from repentance?  I've been an addict for years and while I was under the influence the devil manifested before me and told me he won and God turned me over to him.  At that point there was a deep sinking feeling in my heart and since then I've been doing better working towards cutting all sins from myself.  I pray daily and read the bible daily now trying to learn the word of God.  The people in my life tend to be Devils and I can tell now.  Is that because I am now one with his side?  When the devil manifested before me I rebuked what he said and have been working as hard as I can to remove all sin from me.  If you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.JordanFrom: Victor Hafichuk To: Jordan Sent: Tuesday, March 01, 2016 7:09 AM Subject: Re: RepentanceHi Jordan,Have you red our paper on Repentance? You’ve been trying to effect your own repentance, which is impossible. That’s why you’re confused about whose side you’re on – God’s or the Devil’s. When you experience the gift of repentance from God, you’ll know assuredly that He is on your side, and by walking in faith, that you’re on His side. But at least you’ve taken the step of acknowledging the Law is good, and also realize you can’t believe what the Devil tells you, because he’s a liar. So keep going, and when you fail, look to the Lord...

Meandering Without the Shepherd

From: Jim To: The Path of Truth Sent: Sunday, December 20, 2015 8:39 PM Subject: On Church AttendanceI came across your website this evening and I am intrigued.  I haven’t read all that I want to read as yet, but, I will meander through it. I read your article regarding salvation.  I scanned the “false doctrines” articles. Here’s my question.  I do not attend church regularly.  It is in my heart to do that so as to not avoid gathering with other like minded believers.  Unfortunately every church in my area either teaches eternal torment for the unbelieving or the church is liberal and accepts just about anything as doctrine. I’m not looking for advice, but I would like your opinion. Thank you,Jim From: Victor Hafichuk To: Jim Sent: Friday, January 01, 2016 1:58 PM Subject: Re: On Church AttendanceHi Jim, Do sheep select their own pastures, food, and companions, or do their shepherds guide and manage them? If Jesus Christ is your Shepherd, then you can be certain He is leading you where you need to be, step by step, everything in its place and time.“God sets the solitary in families: He brings out those which are bound with chains…” But if you’re doing your own thing in His Name, then “the rebellious dwell in a dry land” (Psalms 68:6 KJV). Even though that land is populated by many and apparently prosperous. “Righteous are You, O LORD, when I complain to You; yet I would plead my case before You. Why does the way of the wi...
