Government Finding God’s Law Despicable

Hi Jeff,

Let me write you a unique, honest, but respectful letter of the kind you may possibly have never received before.

I believe by the many reports I’ve received that you are a homosexual. I’ll tell you that as a believer on the Lord Jesus Christ, I disagree with such a lifestyle. But then, I also disagree with adultery, fornication, hatred of others, theft, deception for evil’s sake and so on. Where you depart from the public stance on these vices is that you declare the legal and social right to what the Bible calls sin. At least you’re honest about it.

That said, if you can believe it, I don’t condemn you for being homosexual. I declare to you that God will one day bring you to His Light as well. He will cleanse and make you free of your ways contrary to Him. He loves you, Jeff, way beyond any kind of love you’ve sought or even heard of.

I wanted to be open with you about these things. But that’s not my primary cause for writing. When we met at the Page Break, you objected with a “Come on!” to our distributing “Poison in our Water” signs, judging we were over the top.

Jeff, I solemnly tell you that if you were to responsibly investigate the truth of the issue of fluoridation, you would, with integrity and alacrity, swiftly change your tune. If you knew what we know after due investigation and due diligence, you could not argue.

More importantly, the issue isn’t merely one of science, but of ethics. The Precautionary Principle demands we take fluoride out of the water. The fact that nobody has the right to prescribe medication (fluoride is touted as a medication to prevent cavities)…without individual diagnosis, without personalized dosage, and without informed consent. How insane is that, Jeff?

Think man! Those sound elements of social justice are more than sufficient to require Council to do the right thing and stop fluoridation.

Therefore, we look for no plebiscite, only a decision by City Council to end fluoridation of our water. The majority doesn’t have the right to impose its’ rights on so much as one person when it comes to freedom of choice in health treatment. AHS violates its own principles in all contradiction and hypocrisy.

Jeff, we ask you to give yourself to actively, valiantly oppose artificial water fluoridation. You’ll be saving lives, no less.

Want sure proof of our declarations and the bait-and-switch tactics of the pro-fluoride camp and the sure evidence of serious harm? Study/review our AHS Rebuttal document  we’ve left with you in hardcopy at City Hall. You’ll find all the answers and facts needed to understand and fight fluoridation.

I seriously look forward to talking further with you.

Well, Victor, you are correct.. I have never received a letter like this before. Please do not discuss my personal life ever again.

I don’t think there is any reason for us to meet at the moment Victor because the statement I made to the London Road Neighbourhood Association was accurate. If and when the fluoride issue comes before council I will revisit the information available at that time and see no reason for discussion until then. And now that I have seen your truly despicable email to my friend Jeff Carlson I cannot fathom a circumstance where I would ever want to meet with you on any topic.

Liz, I would be very interested in the “further studies and new anecdotal evidence” on artificial water fluoridation you mention. We’re aware of the false alarm suggesting an increase of children’s cavities in Calgary since they ended fluoridation in 2011. Dr. Luke Shwart, Dental Public Health Officer for Alberta Health Services, declared it would take at least 5 years to determine results. So how can there be any conclusive evidence so soon?

We’re also aware of several dentists and investigating doctors in Calgary who unequivocally deny there’s been any increase in cavities. But we’re entirely unaware of any studies supportive of fluoridation. To the contrary, studies specifically designed to test cavity rates after stopping fluoridation have been done and none of these dozen or so studies show an increase in cavities.

So yes, please do give me those references; it would be much appreciated and we will most diligently investigate them.

You condemn me and my letter to Jeff. Can you tell me just how it was despicable?

Was it because I spoke what was true? Do you find truth despicable?

Was it because I spoke only the truth (so far as I know), with no flattery or whitewashing? Do you find truth “truly” despicable?

Was it because I was honest with Jeff? Do you find honesty despicable?

Was it because I was sincere in my expression, without condemning Jeff? Do you find sincerity despicable?

Was it because, in spite of Jeff’s and my disagreement on a lifestyle choice obviously important to each of us, that I’ve chosen to be his friend, and willingly extended the olive branch? Is that despicable to you?

Do you find it despicable that I should be able to express what I believe, just as you allow Jeff to express what he believes?

Do you find it despicable that I’m saying things you don’t agree with, while you now freely choose to be contemptuous of me?

Or is it because you despise God and His immutable, eternal Law, as put forth in the Holy Scriptures? Is that not what you find “truly despicable”?

If that’s so, then not only are you and I on opposite sides of the coin – we deal in a different currency all together. And in such a case, I believe you when you say you can’t fathom wanting to meet me again on any topic. So be it; it’s your decision, at least for now.

And Jeff,

As you’re likely aware, the letter I sent to you wasn’t sent to Liz Iwaskiw or any other councillor. It was, as titled, a “Personal Note.” So with all the recent letters I sent to individual councillors.

You chose to fault me with your companions; I didn’t choose to do so with you.

Isn’t it ironic that you require of me that I do not discuss your personal life “ever again,” but you reserve the right to talk to others against me about what I said personally to you, as a friend? Do you reserve the right to share my personal mail with others while denying me the right to speak honestly with you?

Seeing you’ve shared our correspondence with Liz, I write the two of you this time. Truth has visited both of you in unequivocal, decisive speech this day. It won’t be the same for either of you any longer. That’s the way Truth works.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, Lord of all,

Victor Hafichuk
