Hello my name is Carelis I’m 16 years old and I want to talk you about what I have experienced for the last 5 months. I grew up as a catholic, when I was a kid I did not atended much to mass just in special ocassions, but then in August I started to have horrible thoughts about the Lord that I did not want, they are scary and I always ended up crying, then I found out that it was a form of anxienty called scrupolusity, then I started to read the bible and praying, I went to a evengelican christian church, but it’s now one that has people jumping around or screaming, it’s pretty much quiet and it does not have a lot of members. Still I have worries about salvation and about what I believe because I do not want to be decieved and I’m still read and try to learn about the word, but sometimes I get confused about subjects and teachings, I really want to follow Jesus and I know that it’s not easy but I want to be fertil soil. I also read the testimonies about hell and heaven visions and was wondering if they were true or not. I also have questions:
Can you recommend me a way of studying the bible?
How can I talk to others about Jesus, can you give me a short presentation of the gospel?
I have a problem with the sin of anger and I wrote versicles about it and try to read them and pray , could you suggest another thing to do when feeling angry?
Is it a sin to watch movies, dancing or listening to music?
When does something becomes idolatry?
I heard preachers on tv and read that almost every sin is causes by demons and they talked about curses, is that really true?
I may have more questions but these are what I remember in this moment, thank you for your time and please excuse my grammatical errors I may have since english is not my first lenguaje.
God bless you

Hi Carelis and welcome to our site.
You have many questions here and many more where those came from because the Lord is putting it in your heart to search out the Truth. He’s drawing you to His Son so that you might know Him and be made free.
We needn’t answer those questions at the moment in this letter for at least two reasons: They don’t deal with the issue in your life and two, by drinking Living Water from a Clean Well, which is what ThePathofTruth is all about, your soul will be cleansed, delivered and healed. As Jesus said, “You shall know the truth and the truth will make you free…and when the Son of Man (Jesus) makes you free, you’ll be free indeed.”
Walk away from all those contradictory religious influences; they only confound you and make your spiritual journey unnecessarily difficult and dangerous. Read at ThePathofTruth, read again and read some more. Check out in the Scriptures what we preach and teach. Spend much time here.
As you read and ask the Lord for understanding, you’ll find your questions answered and your various conflicts taking flight. Be patient, believe, and as you learn, the Lord will heal your mind. You’ll be thankful and rejoice in the Lord as you put your trust in Him:
Romans 10:9-11 MKJV
(9) Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
(10) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.
(11) For the Scripture says, “Everyone believing on Him shall not be put to shame.”
If after much attention you still have questions, and you will – everyone has them, write us and Lord willing, we’ll do what we can for you.

This is Marilyn, Victor’s wife. Victor shared your email with me and I have some things to share that I hope will help you.
It’s important to read your Bible. If you’re not familiar with what’s there, start in the New Testament at the book of John, which explains Who Jesus is. Then, read Acts to see what happens with those who believe on Jesus. These experiences are for us to learn from and expect to see happening in our lives.
May the Lord Jesus open your eyes and heart to receive His truth and the obedience to walk with Him.

Hi Carelis, Paul here.
Amen – the Lord bless you with His faith!
It sounds like your first language is Spanish; have you found our Spanish translations?
Here are the ones Marilyn suggested:

So I came across this website and was quite intrigued. I found myself going “Yes…Yes…So good..So right…This guy’s got his head screwed on right.. waaaait-“ .. “One of the biggest and worst lies ever told in manmade Christianity, one that John Piper subscribes to and teaches, is that there is a place of interminable torment and punishment for sinners.” I’m sorry sir, after reading through your page for last few hours (Yes. Hours.) you come across as very well read and educated on biblical truths. How do you see past this one? Revelation 21:8 Matthew 25:46 Psalm 9:17 2 Thessalonians 1:9 Matthew 13:50 Acts 2:27 Mark 9:43 Jude 1:7 Proverbs 15:24 Proverbs 23:14 Matthew 13:42 Matthew 25:41 Revelation 19:20 Proverbs 15:11 Matthew 16:19 2 Peter 2:4 Revelation 20:13 Matthew 10:28 Ezekiel 18:20 Yes. All verses pertaining to hell. Are you going to tell me that none of these were inspired and spoken by the Lord, and that they are just verses by mere carnal men? I honestly would never take this much time to try to argue a point that is so obviously and unmistakably wrong, but in most other areas, you and your “team” seem pretty intelligent. Except on this one. Tell me why I’m wrong. Thanks, Megan Subject: ...
English - Spanish From: Paul To: The Path of Truth Sent: Monday, May 02, 2016 5:00 AM Subject: 8 Repentance Steps Hi Guys Interesting page. Just a question on your eight steps of repentance. What if you committed a sin you weren't aware of how would you go through all of the 8 steps? if I have done a sin I am not aware of does that mean I have not completed proper repentance? Regards Paul From: Paul Cohen and Victor Hafichuk To: Paul Sent: Sunday, May 08, 2016 5:09 PM Subject: Re: 8 Repentance Steps Paul, it’s not about dotting all the “I’s” and crossing all the “t’s”. It’s all about motive and attitude. If you seek the Lord to do His will, He’ll surely cause you to know all you need to know. He’ll convict you of any sin and give you the gift of repentance to turn from it. Believe and obey; it’s for your life, His Eternal Life He gives to those who believe on Him. Jesus Christ is Lord. Victor Paul, Paul Cohen here. You have the cart in front of the horse. Those 8 elements follow the repentance that comes from God. In other words, when those elements are present, we know that God is doing a miraculous work of salvation in the person. And when any of those elements are absent, we know that God isn’t doing the work. And, O man, the one judging those who do such things, and practice them, do you think this, that you shall escape the judgment of God? Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and the forbearance and long-suffering, not ...
