I have been watching a lot of francis chan recently and I came across your site denouncing him and stating that he is false prophet. Then I looked up some other preachers as well which have helped me to understand God and hold him in higher regards such as Paul washer and todd white. Another preacher who had an impact on me was Nick vujichic which you did not mention on your site. You seem to go into discounting preachers but these preachers do bring many into the love and grace of God through salvation in Christ. There is a passage which says whoever is not against us is for us.

Do you really believe that these preachers are "false" and is the road to salvation really as narrow as you make it seem?

I ask these questions not to be defensive but to understand. As you see I am part of the Roman Catholic church and I don't agree with many of the teachings (i foundGod in a nondenominational church). I am at this church for reasons to honor mother and father. But I feel like being Christian is more than just the nuances. It's about loving God and your neighbor and mercy over sacrifice. It's about distinguishing a false from true prophets from the fruits of labor. It's about examining the fruits by using scripture.

We couldn't agree more, except to add that we examine the fruits by the Spirit of God, because without Him, the Scriptures are dead to us and us to them. But with the Lord, we find confirmation in the Scriptures of the things He shows us in the light.

And that is what you've been seeing on our site regarding the false teachers we've posted - God's Word illuminating error. Look again and see how we have presented Scriptures that confirm the judgment God has given us.

So to answer your question - “Do you really believe that these preachers are 'false' and is the road to salvation really as narrow as you make it seem?” - yes, absolutely we do, according to the Word of God.

But because they're false teachers doesn't mean they don't speak some true things. We say this in the introduction to the false teachers section, explaining why they are labeled false:

Though false teachers lead astray, the Biblical truths they teach can lead to Christ those whom God has called and is choosing. The truth quickens those being given the gift of faith. However, faith manifest in the one who receives the truth does not certify as God's representative the one who speaks some truth. The child of faith who walks in obedience to Christ will soon enough part ways with those who mix truth with error.

This is God's commandment:

“Therefore come out from among them and be separated, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing. And I will receive you and I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty” (2 Corinthians 6:17-18 MKJV).

False teachers mix the holy things of God with their carnal thoughts, creating a false form of godliness. They can't do otherwise, because they haven't taken up the cross and submitted themselves to Christ's righteousness. They are still in their sin nature, living unto themselves, teaching doctrines and commandments of men.

And because false teachers haven't submitted themselves to Christ's righteousness, they can't lead others there. A false teacher is one who may speak truth, yet points his hearers in another direction. [End Quote]

It's true the Lord said that “he who is not against us is for us” (Mark 9:40 MKJV), but He also said: “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters” (Luke 11:23 MKJV).

We need His mind and wisdom to understand and apply these things, Kenny. For this you need to go to Him, where He is to be found:

You say you attend a Catholic church to honor your mother and father. Whom should you honor first, the Lord Jesus Christ or your earthly parents? What does the First Commandment say?
