Dear brethren,
What is the true interpretation of Hebrews 6:4-6?
Does it mean there is no forgiveness for a believer who backslides?
Blessings to you in Jesus name.
Bro. Zablon.
What happens to whoever sins after receiving Jesus Christ?
Re: What happens to whoever sins after receiving Jesus Christ?
Here's another Scripture from Hebrews that explains the verses you cite from chapter 6, Mosiria:
“For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries” (Hebrews 10:26-27 MKJV).
And this from Jude:
“But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe” (Jude 1:5 EMTV).
There are sins that can be forgiven and those that aren't forgiven in this life:
“If anyone sees his brother sin a sin not to death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for those that do not sin to death. There is a sin to death, I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not to death” (1 John 5:16-17 MKJV).
Why do you ask?
