I agree with most of the on mistranslation and use of everlasting, etc.
But, I'll have to disagree with the last statement about the New Covenant; according to the description of the NC, it hasn't arrived yet.
From my understanding, under the NC, no one will be to be taught b y preaches. Teaches and pastors anymore, the fact that many are still being thought through outside sources, tells me, the New Convention in yet Future.

Re: New Covenant
We know that the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God and do not contradict themselves in the essentials of truth. It's true that we who have received the anointing of God don't need anyone to teach us because we know all things in Christ.
“But the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and no lie, and as He has taught you, abide in Him” (1 John 2:27 MKJV).
But that doesn't mean God hasn't sent apostles, prophets, and teachers with the purpose of perfecting His church, the body of Christ:
“And God set some in the church, firstly, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers…” (1 Corinthians 12:28 MKJV).
Ephesians 4:11-15 MKJV
(11) And truly He gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
(12) for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
(13) And this until we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
(14) so that we no longer may be infants, tossed to and fro and carried about by every wind of doctrine, in the dishonesty of men, in cunning craftiness, to the wiles of deceit.
(15) But that you, speaking the truth in love, may in all things grow up to Him Who is the Head, even Christ.
Believers receive the ministry of Christ through His servants because He has enlightened their eyes and understanding. He is their Sufficiency:
“And for this cause we thank God without ceasing, that when you received the Word of hearing, of God, you welcomed it as the Word of God, not as a word of men, but as it is, truly the Word of God, which also effectually works in you who believe” (1 Thessalonians 2:13 MKJV).
“But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, Who of God is made to us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption” (1 Corinthians 1:30 MKJV).
Your understanding of the New Covenant is lacking, Jon, because you haven't received the One Who makes it a present reality in those who believe in Him.
“Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21 KJV).
As long as you hold on to being your own authority because of your knowledge, you'll be ruled by death and hell, the consequence of eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. You need to repent to enter the New Covenant of the Tree of Life, the Lord Jesus Christ.
