Good evening,
I am emailing you because I am seeking spiritual guidance. I have lied to a brother in Christ and I am seeking what I need to do to restore this relationship. I feel completely at loss and am willing to do whatever it takes to restore what has been broken. Thank you
Very Resectfully,
Lindsay

Re: Lying to a brother in Christ
Have you gone to your brother and told him about the lie, apologizing and seeking to make things right in whatever way you can, Lindsay? This includes restitution of any damages or loss to him and others affected, if possible. That's the place to start.
As for “restoring the relationship,” leave it to God what that relationship will or will not be. You don't apologize to get something, but to do what's right before God. The idea is to be restored to Him, not to get something else you want, be it a relationship or whatever. You've been stymied because you have your eyes set in the wrong place.
When the First Commandment is fulfilled, the Second Commandment will be also.
