Retribution

I am new on here and am very confused on this topic. What is it to a Christian?

What is it you're asking about retribution? Here's what my dictionary says the word means:
Retribution:
1. A justly deserved penalty
2. The act of correcting for your wrongdoing
3. The act of taking revenge (harming someone in retaliation for something harmful that they have done) especially in the next life – “the swiftness of divine retribution”
