God Is Not Mocked

In response to a series of mass mailers about a very sick woman, Paul wrote the following response:

Glenn and Ingrid, Willa, and all others who read this letter (to be shared with all those involved on your mailing lists),

You people are putting your trust in what you eat, what you do not eat, what doctrines you believe, what doctrines you do not believe, what church you go to, what church you do not go to, and anything else other than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. You are following the doctrines and teachings of men, not God. That is why Trudy is sick and dying (if not dead). That is why all of you will also likewise perish, because, as Jesus said, that is what will happen to you unless you repent.

We have some things for you to read, if any of you are in earnest about getting right with God. Only if you seek His face and turn from your wicked ways will He hear your prayers, forgive your sin, and heal your land. But if you continue in your present ways, you will have the same results as Trudy. Do not be deceived, either, that your dietary fasts and many prayers hold any sway with God. Rather the opposite is true:

“I have hated–I have loathed your festivals, And I am not refreshed by your restraints” (Amos 5:21 YLT).

What God wants is your obedience and attention to what He has to say and to teach you about true righteousness and His ways that do, in fact, prosper:

“Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your food offerings, I will not be pleased. Nor will I regard the peace offerings of your fat animals. Take the noise of your songs away from Me; for I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments. But let judgment roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream” (Amos 5:22-24 MKJV).

What does God require? That is what you need to know. Freely we have received, and freely we share with you, for your sakes and for truth’s sake. Scoff, and be destroyed. Believe, and be saved.

Glenn and Ingrid, I have already written you a long letter, to which you never replied; it appears you have not believed anything of what I told you. I enclose that letter again in case you do not have it or never received it in the first place, as well as for instruction in godliness that may benefit others participating in this correspondence.

The Sure Testimony of Jesus Christ

From: Vanetta To: The Path of Truth Sent: Sunday, February 15, 2009 3:22 PM Subject: Paul's rebukeI just read what you thought about an SDA person by the name of Paul.  I was dismayed at your response.  Knowledge of the Bible is important, no it will not save us for that is for Jesus alone and our relationship with him, but we learn about His will and how to live by His example that comes from the Bible.  I feel you were very rude to this person and may have misinterpreted what he meant.  As far as Ellen White goes, her books are as easily read as any book you read today from anyone you feel has a view of the Bible in which you like.  It is my belief that SDA's follow the Bible and the Bible only and that's what we all have to go by.  Your attack and that's what it was was an attack on poor Paul and Ellen White was not christian at all.  You have the right to your beliefs as I do to mine but to ridicule and forcibly bash someone is not the way of God.If you would like to discuss something from a scripture stand point then that's fine but don't just put your beliefs out there with such force on someone else and expect them to convert.  I ask you that when you write back to anyone if you have no scriptures to quote to back your beliefs and or a true Christ like spirit to share it with please just stop, pray, and then hopefully it will come to you.Sincerely writtenVanettaFrom: Paul Cohen To: Vanetta Cc: Victor Hafichuk Sent: Monday, February...

Letter to the SDA Church in Lethbridge

What the Lord had to say to those at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lethbridge, as a group and individually for some.

Seventh Day Adventism

Does proclaiming the seventh day as the Sabbath, even naming yourself after this true gift from God, make you right with Him? Did not the Pharisees have the right day, too? Adventists, despite what they think, are just another sectarian group teaching self-righteousness and divisiveness over doctrine.
