False Teacher – John Eckhardt

Powered by Satan

I watched this video of John preaching at “Calvary Lighthouse” in 2014: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSdE4VgDA0Q:

This is spiritual vomit; it is blasphemous, presumptuous, demonic, nothing less or more. This is a glory-seeking man who speaks in the Name of the Lord, out of the imagination of his own heart, powered by Satan, the dethroned prince of this world.

Eckhardt is a prophet of Baal jumping up and down on his vile altar, supposing he’ll move the crowd, if not God, to great works and manifestations, but to what end and for what cause?

Here’s what I wrote to a person whose Facebook account was promoting this “Lighthouse” video:

“We see you honoring a vile spewing of blasphemy out of the mouth of John Eckhardt. It is horrid, Mazel. It is not the Spirit of the Lord speaking but the spirit of a presumptuous exhibitionist. This man is devilish with false gifts of tongues and prophecy and carnal preaching. The man is a liar.

John Eckhardt and so many others like him are nothing less than prophets of Baal, the very kind against whom Elijah stood. John is jumping up and down on the altar, trying to impress God and man by demonstrating his zeal, but the Lord doesn’t hear a word he says, much less speak through him. He will die the death of that Elijah slew.

“We have an altar of which they have no right to eat, those who serve the tabernacle” (Hebrews 13:10 MKJV).

Don’t you know the difference between true and false? If not, you are lost and prey to devils in works of darkness.

Frankly, the saints and angels in Heaven are indignant at these things done and spoken in His Name by such as John Eckhardt. His performance is revolting and nauseous to the sons and daughters of God.

Your sin blinds you. Pray, fast, turn from your sins and run to the Lord. Be ashamed for publishing false apostles:

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 MKJV

(13)  For such ones are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
(14)  Did not even Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light?
(15)  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.

Except for the grace of God, you’ll not see what we’re warning you about and will despise us for these words.

Note: As of May 2017, John Eckhardt’s website is infected with malware and not accessible.

This article from Charisma Magazine presents an example of the treacherous ways and teachings of John Eckhardt. It begins:

Apostle John Eckhardt believes that rejection is a bigger problem than most Christians realize. He calls rejection—the subject of his latest book—a ‘major, undiagnosed, untreated problem in the body of Christ.’

If being rejected was the problem for the Body of Christ that Eckhardt proposes it is, then what about the Head of the Body, Who was rejected by all?

“He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not” (Isaiah 53:3 MKJV).

Was Jesus overcome by rejection, or did He overcome it?

“He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the will of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the fruit of the travail of His soul. He shall be fully satisfied” (Isaiah 53:10-11 MKJV).

And did Jesus overcome rejection for Himself alone, or for everyone who comes to Him as Lord and Savior?

“But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed… By His knowledge shall My Righteous Servant justify for many; and He shall bear their iniquities” (Isaiah 53:5 MKJV).

The answer to dealing with rejection by men is to turn to the One we’ve all rejected, the One Who removes your sin and reconciles you to God and man.

Isn’t that what Eckhardt is proposing? No; he has written a long book presumably giving counsel from the Word of God, yet Eckhardt isn’t directing people to the Lord, the Word made flesh. He is directing people to himself, the “apostle,” and his own wisdom. That’s why he accepts titles and the praise of men. That’s why he sells spiritual counsel (see The True Marks of a Cult). That’s why the article reports:

Concluding the event in prayer, he asked everyone to say out loud, ‘I command these spirits to leave.’ He also asked them to place a hand on their forehead, breaking the powers of hell over the mind so they could ‘think clearly, think correctly’ and so the mind would ‘free and restored.’

Eckhardt gives lip service to the Lord Jesus Christ and Biblical principles, but he practices and promotes witchcraft, giving people the mistaken notion they can deliver themselves without holding himself or them to God’s standards of walking in faith and repentance from sin.

“Do not lay hands quickly on anyone, neither be partaker of the sins of others. Keep yourself pure” (1 Timothy 5:22 MKJV).

But know that when you turn to the Lord Jesus Christ in truth, He effectively deals with the rejection you’ve experienced at the hands of others, because you’re keeping His commandments in faith:

“Forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors… For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:12,14 MKJV).

“Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven” (Luke 6:37 MKJV).

The real issue isn’t that we’re rejected (we’ve all been rejected at one time or another), but that we’ve all been rejecters, perpetrators in need of forgiveness. For our forgiveness to be completed, we need to not only confess and repent of our sins, but to forgive others their sins against us. In this way, we can be made whole, victims and perpetrators no more.

John Eckhardt has it backwards. He focuses on receiving benefits from God rather than exercising responsibility towards God and man. He writes in his book: “An open door to rejection comes when we do not receive the love and acceptance of God.” That is Satan speaking, savoring the things of man in seeking to be loved rather than to love. The truth is, “An open door to rejection comes when we do not receive the loving correction of God.”

The Scriptures say:

“My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD; nor be weary with His correction; for whom the LORD loves He corrects, even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights” (Proverbs 3:11-12 MKJV).

“For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life” (Proverbs 6:23 KJV).

One receives the love and acceptance of God by keeping His commandments and receiving His correction when He applies it.

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him” (John 14:21 MKJV).

“Then Peter opened his mouth and said, Truly I see that God is no respecter of persons; but in every nation he who fears Him and works righteousness is accepted with Him” (Acts 10:34-35 MKJV).

“And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons, ‘My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked by Him; for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and He scourges every son whom He receives’” (Hebrews 12:5-6 MKJV).

Didn’t Cain go into all evil when his sacrifice was rejected and he didn’t repent when corrected? Rejecting God, he made himself rejected. Read Offendedness.

John Eckhardt preaches another “Jesus” and gospel, liberally using the Scriptures and Biblical-sounding principles to deceive hearts for deception and not for the Truth, the Real and True Lord Jesus Christ:

“I have come in My Father’s Name, and you do not receive Me. If another shall come in his own name, him you will receive” (John 5:43 MKJV).

Here’s how the Word of God describes John’s ministry and those who partake of it:

“Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. And her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus says the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken” (Ezekiel 22:27-28 KJV).
