Heaven Trumps Hell

We got this response to The Fruit of Cain Multiplied: The Murderer John Calvin:

Please take me off your email list. You guys wouldn’t know truth if you were hit over the head with it. Sadly you all are going to wake up in the place you don’t believe in, unless God graciously saves your souls. There is more about Hell in the Bible than there is about Heaven. Good Grief.

Paul’s reply:

Nathan, why don’t you try to enlighten us about the Truth, if you are able? But, first, who said we do not believe there is a place called Hell? You need to check your “facts.” Speaking without knowledge is foolishness, is it not?

Or have you determined that we are those whom God has predetermined to torment in the flames forever, and there is no point in bothering with us? After all, if God made us for the burning heap, why should you be kindly disposed? I mean, you can do whatever you like, seeing He has such hardness of heart towards us. Why, you could even burn us yourself if you like, right? That is, if the governing authorities would turn a blind eye, or, better yet, even assist you. Yes, that is the answer! Find a way to get them to do your dirty work! Brilliant! I am beginning to see how this whole thing works.

But there does seem to be a crack of doubt in your sentence of condemnation, so perhaps there is a chance after all for something better, if you would engage us in substantive conversation rather than dismissive sayings that don’t mean anything.

Here is some substance for you:

Jesus Christ is the King of Heaven. Those sharing in His life are with Him there:

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and seated us together in the Heavenlies in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4-6 EMTV).

I find a lot more about Christ in the Bible, Who is the Reason and Sustainer of everything, and Who brings life, than things of the devil, which bring condemnation. Maybe you are focusing on the wrong thing altogether, and missing the really Good Thing.

Or are you saying that Hell is the Alpha and Omega, and that is what everything is all about?

Paul

Millions of people, following John Calvin? It’s a “John Calvin High School,” it’s a “John Calvin this,” and that, and the other. John Calvin was a murderer; a ruthless, merciless murderer. And he died a horrible death, prematurely, and a horrible death at that. Show me any man of God in the Scriptures who died of a horrible death. It didn’t happen. So, there it is. Calvinists, people are proud of being Calvinists. Proud of being what? Reformed? Whatever. Come on!  Why are you following a murderer, and acting and smiling, like you are the Lord’s chosen people? And that you are going to go to Heaven, that you are predestined to go to Heaven?Calvin taught that there were certain people that were going to go to Heaven - they were predestined for that - and certain people that were predestined for Hell. Is RC Sproul a false teacher?

From: Marie Sent: Saturday, April 01, 2017 4:34 PM To: ask@thepathoftruth.com Subject: R.C. SproulHi!I have followed R.C. for more than a decade. What’s the word on him (not to be confused with his son, R.C. Jr). I have been burned more than once - MacArthur and Zacharias are 2 examples. I have grown cold on R.C. and I wonder if it’s me or him.Regards,MarieFrom: Paul Cohen Sent: Saturday, April 08, 2017 7:25 AM To: Marie Cc: Victor Hafichuk Subject: Re: R.C. SproulHi Marie,There’s essentially no difference between Sproul, MacArthur, and Zacharias. All three say some true things, but they’re also prime promoters of falsehood as part of the beastly system of religion the Word of God calls “Babylon,” the “paths of the destroyer.”“Concerning the works of men, by the Words of Your lips, I am kept from the paths of the destroyer” (Psalms 17:4 MKJV).Sproul promotes Calvin and his infernal doctrine, for example. True Brothers Have Jesus' Testimony

From: Nelson To: The Path of Truth Sent: Friday, September 23, 2016 9:38 PM Subject: QuestionHello, I just watched Todd whites testimony and came across your response letter about him and schnoel... I can't even remember how to spell his last name but I saw the part about how he doesn't talk about repentance, (white) and I just wanted to say,(as a learning kid) that I thought his whole thing was about repentance, that you can't just ask Jesus to save you and live the exact same way like he said he had for the first several months, he has a testimony only because he finally turned to Jesus fully and really did change because of Jesus. Other wise he'd still be an angry crack head shacking up with chicks like he did BEFORE he repented. Right? Like I heard him say you have to be IN JESUS, in His WORD! ....That whole washing with the water of the word thing in Ephesians ( which I didn't hear him say but it comes to mind) because holiness can only come from relationship with Jesus and how you really know Him unless you are in His word!? The word makes you grow, makes you change, washes the filth out your brain, right ? Or am I confused? From: Paul Cohen and Victor Hafichuk To: Nelson Sent: Wednesday, September 28, 2016 7:22 AM Subject: Re: QuestionHi Nelson,You say of Todd White: “He has a testimony only because he finally turned to Jesus fully and really did change because of Jesus.
