Compassion for Sin Destroys

How can one in sin lead sinners out of their sins? There is a sinful compassion that spares the flesh and destroys the soul, but those who uphold and magnify God’s Laws are kept.

“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the Law is blessed” (Proverbs 29:18 WEB).

On May 24 at 6:54am Elizabeth Smith shared The Activist Mommy‘s video (no longer available).

#genderinsanity

LGBTQQIAAPP?? Asexual? Non-binary? Gobbledygook! Gender insanity! This is out of hand! ?

Nadine Sikkema responded:

It is useless to think about these things in abstract terms. If you knew anybody who felt this way maybe you wouldn’t as readily share this. I know and love people who identify as some of these identities listed. There is no point to sharing this, people won’t stop existing because you say they don’t exist. I think as Christians we should embrace all, even if their experiences don’t seem real, or line up with what you have experienced. There is no other way to evangelize, and there is no other way to share the love of Christ.

Again: these people are real people who have lived through real things, and most of them aren’t sensationalist like being a cat or something. (and if they do, approach them with gentleness – if they have a mental illness like this lady suggests then all the more, love them)

Listen to them, hear their experiences. They are real people! My close friend attempted suicide because he thought he couldn’t tell his parents he was gay, he didn’t want to acknowledge his feeling in his heart. People run from themselves and kill themselves because they are being told they don’t exist. If nothing else, listen to them as people.

Christa Smith says:

That is also what I found out at cross lake. Many turn to homosexuality there as a means to escape the abuse they suffered at home as children. As a means to be able to control something in their life. To say I will not let this happen to me again. I will decide my destiny. They need someone to listen to them and show them they Way and help them heal. So many of them are hurting broken people.

Martin Van Popta says:

Nadine and Christa, you are what most movements call useful idiots. Every movement has them. You’re the folks who are so bound by your self-image of niceness that you can no longer tolerate the cold hard facts. This woman is right on the mark, and Elizabeth is perfectly sensible to post her video and identify with her.

Both of you, on the other hand, are in total darkness. Where do you find written in the Scriptures that it’s understandable or excusable to partake of vile sexual perversion because a person wants to be in control? How dare you claim to represent Jesus Christ while justifying and even promoting such wicked nonsense!

Yes, people who live in these dark sins are indeed real people. Is that all it takes to justify sin? I’m a real person. Can I kill you if makes me feel like I can control my life? Why should a person be trying to control their life?

I’ve spoken to quite a few homosexuals including one who has repented and acknowledged his wickedness in the matter, and all of them have the same story. They say they can’t help it and that they didn’t choose it. I believe them, but it doesn’t exonerate them. They were all hugely proud self-justifying individuals who didn’t like being told what to do, and those are the people the Lord gives over to homosexuality. We read in Romans 1:20-25…

20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

So the boy threw a fit and attempted suicide because he felt like he could do nothing as he pleased without condemnation. It sounds to me like the Wrath of God was dwelling on that whole family, or they wouldn’t be suffering at His Hand.

Do you really think you can fix hurting broken people by pitying and excusing their sin? Look, I’m not promoting “God hates fags” billboards, and yet doesn’t He? Don’t kid yourself, he wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah in Divine Fury. What makes you think he feels any different about today’s generation?

It says in Ezekiel 16:49 that “Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy.”

You see, the Sodomites’ sin wasn’t homosexuality, it was their tolerance of it. They grew morally lax in their prosperity. They had no use for God because they had no needs, and so they saw no use in keeping or upholding His Law, just as you two women don’t.

The Lord has come, Nadine and Christa; are you comfortable where you stand?

Martin Van Popta says:

You’ve both justifying sin because you have no use for the light. You would sooner help sinners hide than expose the darkness for what it is, and so unless you repent, you will fall under the same wrath that falls on these LGBT supporters. In fact, it will be worse for you, because you take the Name of Jesus Christ in vain.

Ironically, in your attempt to justify these sinners, labeling them as victims, you have fallen victim to their wicked agenda. The LGBT has only one agenda: to defy God at the most basic level. They are going to abandon the image they were created in.

Martin Van Popta says:

Cursed is he who calls the darkness Light and the Light darkness.

Martin Van Popta says:

I’m with you on this one, Elizabeth, 100% percent.

Nadine Sikkema says:

Martin Van Popta nope not what I’m saying, try again

Martin Van Popta says:

Mocking doesn’t change anything. The reason you’re in the darkness you’re in is because you don’t know what you’re saying. You’ve been sold a false Christianity that seeks to “win souls for Christ” with a false gospel of “mercy” and “compassion”.

These people are in chains and your gospel has no power to set them free. Truthfully you’re in chains yourself.

Can you hear what I’m saying? I don’t expect you will, although I believe you could if you were willing.

Nadine Sikkema says:

I do understand what you are saying. I’m truly sorry that you don’t think mercy and compassion fit into the gospel. If you think somehow that you are not living in sin then throw the first stone. We are all sinners we are constantly turning away from God and what he does in return is love us and join us in our misery. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Now make relationship with your fellow sinners I beg you. If you want to live somehow in a sinnerless world you came to the wrong planet.

Martin Van Popta says:

Nadine, I was living in sin, but now I don’t, thanks be to God!

Yes, we all have sinned, being born in it, but we ought not to continue in it.

What about 1 John 3:4-10

4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s[b] seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

You justify sin. Your own and that of others.

As for making relations with sinners or having fellowship with them what does Paul have to say in 2 Corinthians 6:14?

“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?”

The gospel you preach is witchcraft, Nadine! The Lord will tolerate it no longer!

Christa Smith says:

I in no way condone homosexuality. I just think that just as a homosexual is caught in a sinful lifestyle they need someone to show the way to Jesus. Just like you would for a drunkard or pediphile or for someone who abuse their kids verbally, physicaly,or sexuallly etc…all caught in sin. All in need of grace. Which only jesus can provide.

Christa Smith says:

Just as a drug addict is looking for a family so someone caught in these sexual sins is fleeing past abuse for a majority of the cases. I don’t excuse their sin any more than I would excuse a drunkard or a murderer or someone sexually abusing kids. I have been to cross lake where 19 kids committed suicide. They were surprised and relieved to hear the gospel message. Some are breaking with their sin, others are caught in a cycle of abuse and it can take years for the gospel to make a difference in their lives. Lives were saved for eternity by reaching out to them with the gospel message. You seem to be spilling a lot of hatred towards 2 people you don’t even know and saying things that are simply not true.

Martin Van Popta says:

The woman in the above video wasn’t condemning or hating homosexuals and neither am I. Why have you made that conclusion? Obviously, all sinners need Grace, but Grace is a gift from God that gives us the ability to receive Truth on God’s terms. Grace is not delivering Truth to people in man’s terms. We boldly proclaim the Truth (not without Wisdom, or it wouldn’t be Truth) and God opens and closes hearts as He pleases.

It seems you are making this into what you would like it to be, to serve your own righteousness.

I have no problem sharing the Gospel with those in dire need of hearing it. I would want all people to hear it. However, I would also want all people to hear the bold Truth, which is what this woman shared above. Are you finding fault with the message in the video? What is your point of contention? Everything she says is true.

Or is this a demonstration of her point? That everybody except the LGBT has to be careful how they say things, even though the LGBT can be as grossly offensive and bratty as they want. Why are you defending a wicked organization just because you met some down and out homosexuals at a camp?

Why are we forbidden to speak the Truth for fear of offending? Any of your acquaintances whose “lives were saved for eternity” would rejoice at the video above if their lives truly had been saved.

Matthew 11:6 “And blessed is the one who is not offended by Me.”

Those who love the Father are not offended by the Truth. The Truth is offensive to the flesh, no matter who is speaking it – or even how… why do you think they killed Jesus?

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, (gender insanity??) that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

So what is the issue here? What am I saying that you disagree with? The LGBT movement is pure evil. Can you disagree?

Christa Smith says:

Point 1:cross lake is not a kids camp for lost souls. It is a native reserve in northern manitoba with serious abuse issues.

Point 2:you are spilling hatred towards me and Nadine in your last post, saying things which are not true about us.

Point 3. I in no way condone homosexuality or the way the media and others push an agenda on the world in the name of tolerance. I do not think we need to stoop to their level and mock and ridicule. There are people who are part of “this group” who are hurting broken people, who do not force an agenda, and who need jesus. On this reserve and in many places in our country the gospel is not know. One little girl at the reserve said”my dad has to beat me up every night” and when I told her the gospel she asked how I knew all that;what is the bible, how can I be sure it is true.??does that answer your questions.??

Joe Jonker says:

Martin Van Popta, it’s very easy to come to that conclusion based on the tone of your previous messages. Neither Nadine or Christa said these sins are okay, but you outright attacked the compassion they have for people who are truly lost, not knowing God.

How do you honestly feel like Jesus would react to these lost sheep? Keep in mind this is the same Jesus who are with tax collectors and talked extensively with prostitutes. Jesus came to help and save the broken, and they will never come to him if people like you sit at a distance and cruelly lash out at them. Yes, we should tell them their lifestyle is wrong. But the only way you will help them realize that God is the true way is by listening to them first. trying to understand why they became the way they are, not agreeing with their lifestyle, but simply listening and having an open ear.

I use Jesus as our ultimate example again. He did far more good then simply telling people that their lifestyle was wrong. He formed relationships with them. He loved them truly, despite their sin. And as a result of that love, balanced with his condemnation of their SIN, they also came to love him and follow him. He loved them so much that he died on the cross despite ours and their sin!

You’re right, God doesn’t save people on man’s terms. But God also gives us the ability to love and form relationships with people as tools to help bring people to Him as well. To simply diminish it to spreading pamphlets and “proclaiming” the truth, is a huge oversimplification of what God is calling us to do in our lives and how we are to spread his Word and Gospel.

Anyway that’s my two cents, this has popped up in my feed a few times, which is why it has drawn my attention. Nice to meet you, and I’m sorry it’s via an internet debate 🙂

Martin Van Popta says:

You’re obviously missing where I’m coming from. I don’t have any condemnation for any of these people, and I’m getting the impression that you’re finding it easier to condemn me as someone who condemns others than actually listen to what I’m saying and why I’m saying it. Proclaiming the Truth is good and mandatory (even when it includes pamphlets although I’m not sure where you’re coming from here). I’m certainly not stopping there, though. I’m engaging with you folks, aren’t I?

Truthfully, you folks, in your religiosity, are in worse shape than the people you’re reaching out to. You don’t know you’re sick and so you don’t seek healing.

Christa, your stories about suffering children are obviously heartwrenching but they have nothing to do with this issue. Why not just answer the question? What did the woman in the video say that was condemning or wrong?

I think both she and I would both agree to helping those in need, so why are you painting us both like we’re opposed to helping sinners? Jesus Christ died for me and met me in my darkness and sin, and He commands us to freely give because He freely gave.

But again, that isn’t the discussion here. The LGBT movement and their rhetoric are undeniably diabolical. They have no use for justice or mercy. They are confounded and desire to enforce their delusion on others. It IS insanity. What is wrong with declaring it so?

Why is the bold proclamation of Truth so evil to you?

“Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” Isaiah 58:1

“Don’t be intimidated. Eventually, everything is going to be out in the open, and everyone will know how things really are. So don’t hesitate to go public now.” Mathew 10:27 (The MSG has it well put here)

Christa Smith says:

The suffering children have become the homosexuals, drug addicts, alcohol abusers and as adults continue the cycle to their children. Has everything to do with the issue. Just as not all prostitutes on the streets in winnipeg are there by choice(some are forced there and kept there by trafficking);so some homosexuals,transgender,bi-sexual,queer, are there through no choice of there own and are kept there because they know no better way. Just don’t think you can lump them all in the same group. Some are caught in addiction and need help to break the cycle just like a alcoholic would. Or a drug addict. Or a pedephile. Or someone addicted to porn. We are not called to mock as I mentioned in my last post. We are called to live our lives for jesus and lead others to Him. Let him who is without sin throw the first stone. But for the grace of God there go I.

Martin Van Popta says:

You’re not listening, Christa. You’re so focused on the victimhood of these people that you can’t see their perpetration. You pity them in their sin and so the confusion God has put on them falls on you.

Jesus Christ did come into this world with unfathomable mercy to deliver all of us from death, but He didn’t come to beat around the bush or mince words. Read in Jude 1:21-23

“Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”

Christa, you preach a Christ of your own making. Jesus didn’t avoid offending sinners so that He could coax them into the Kingdom, and neither did the apostles.

“Surely you know that the wicked will not possess God’s Kingdom. Do not fool yourselves; people who are immoral or who worship idols or are adulterers or homosexual perverts or who steal or are greedy or are drunkards or who slander others or are thieves—none of these will possess God’s Kingdom. Some of you were like that. But you have been purified from sin; you have been dedicated to God; you have been put right with God by the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

I am one of those who was purified from sin. I’ve been guilty of all kinds of sexual sins, and yet God delivered me. I was also a “victim” of abuse and yet none of that excused anything I did. I “was the man.” I was guilty. No finger-pointing, no excuses. Sure, you could have psycho-analyzed my filthy conduct and understood how I got there, but none of that matters.

It didn’t matter how I got there, but it definitely mattered that I got out of there. I didn’t get out of there because people sympathized with me or “understood” me. I heard the Word of God and repented.

I was saved with fear, being pulled out of the fire.

But you, Christa, are grossly self-righteous. Now, I realize you’ll be thinking, “right back at you”, and I’m not condemning you for that. It’s understandable even, although inaccurate.

By your nature, you elevate yourself above others with your phony version of virtue. You’re on the alert to find a speck of condemnation or lack of “niceness” in your neighbor’s eye. But where is your consideration for what this woman in the video has been through? What if she’s been roughed up by the LGBT for not submitting to them? Doesn’t she have a story? But you don’t care. You’re here to proclaim your own virtue. Christi, your attitude stinks.

God wiped out Canaan, MAN, WOMAN, and CHILD for these sins. Weren’t those children there “through no choice of their own”? And yet didn’t they die by the sword? Isn’t the wrath of God on all sin? Or is God unjust?

Are you nicer than God? Do you see God preserving homosexuals from STD’s based on their relative status of victimhood? Isn’t His Wrath on all them alike? When it gets down to it, couldn’t we all be considered “victims”?

Christi, I noticed that you posted an article that denounced Planned Parenthood. Should I criticize you for not sympathizing with rape victims? Aren’t there lost souls out there who were abused that were forced into abortions?

But I’m not criticizing you for posting it. Planned Parenthood is unquestionably evil. I understand and appreciate why you posted what you did. You’re supporting justice and opposing evil, just like this lady in the video is, and just like Elizabeth Smith did when she shared the video.

It’s time you come down from your high horse and humble yourself before the Lord and others.

Will you hear the Word of God today? He’s being merciful to you by reaching out to you in your sin. Will you reject him, Christi?

Christa Smith says:

I don’t know where you are getting it from that I excuse their sin or coax them into the kingdom. In cross lake we spoke the gospel truth. My point is more the manner of mocking tone that is used and that no all people fit into her box of pushing an agenda. And if your God gives you the right to call people useful idiots, tell them they are caught in sin when I have not sinned by trying to show another angle to the situation, and gives false interpretations of scriptures maybe you should examine yourself. Thanks Martin.

Martin Van Popta says:

No, you’re not thankful.

You haven’t answered any of my questions. What did this woman say in the video that you find fault with? You’re not being clear. It seems you’re accusing her of mocking, but I don’t know what you’re talking about. It is truly laughable that anyone should believe they are a cat.

But, I don’t even see the woman in the video as mocking. She is in disbelief at how mad people have become. We truly are living in “Bananaland.”

The LGBT movement is ludicrous. They mock the Lord with every breath. But then, so what if she is mocking. Is that necessarily wrong?

Consider what the Lord says in Psalm 2:4.

“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.”

Is the Lord at fault now too, Christa? What about his prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 18:27,28?

“At noon Elijah started making fun of them: “Pray louder! He is a god! Maybe he is day-dreaming or relieving himself, or perhaps he’s gone off on a trip! Or maybe he’s sleeping, and you’ve got to wake him up!” So the prophets prayed louder and cut themselves with knives and daggers, according to their ritual, until blood flowed.”

Are you going to find fault with Elijah too? And what about John the Baptist in Matthew 3:7:

“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?”

John was mocking the Pharisees, wasn’t he?

This is what I’m trying to tell you. You worship a Mr. Nice Guy version of Jesus; a god made in your own image.

Tell me how I’m misinterpreting these Scriptures. I don’t even think I am interpreting them. There’s nothing to be interpreted. I’m supporting my testimony with Scripture.

Your sin isn’t showing me your “other angle”. Your sin is your pride which has you believing that your angle is true. You’re finding fault with others when the fault is with you. You’re clumsily attempting to remove the speck you think is in your neighbor’s eye, when there is a timber in your own.

Now, you have a choice. You can write me off, or you can open your heart. Because as you stand, you’re perfectly in opposition to Jesus Christ. You’re clinging to your own righteousness instead of His.

Martin Van Popta says:

Joe Jonker, I just realized that I only generally answered your questions.

I’ll try to answer your questions as well as correct some comments you made.

It’s true that I don’t approve of their version of compassion because I don’t believe it to be genuine compassion. I don’t doubt that Christa feels for these people and is taking action based on her feelings, but the gospel she brings doesn’t have the power to deliver people from their sin. True compassion, which is a Fruit of the Spirit, is not administered with pity according to the flesh’s judgment. I suppose you could say that I “attacked” their compassion, although it would be more accurate to say that I said their compassion is not really compassion at all. The following passages show this and answer your question at the same time.

“When Jesus had lifted up Himself and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” John 8:10-11

“Afterward, Jesus found him in the Temple and said, “Listen, you are well now; so stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” John 5:14

Jesus responded to lost sheep by calling them to repentance. He came to deliver people from their sin. He didn’t come to countenance sin. He warned that if they continued in sin after hearing the Gospel that they would be plunged into greater darkness than before they had heard it. He ate and drank with sinners, but do you think He continued to dine with them if they persisted in their sin? Jesus didn’t enter into relationships with sinners. He dined with them and preached to them, but He didn’t form relationships with those who were in darkness. What fellowship does light have with darkness?

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” Ephesians 5:11

There is also no Scripture to suggest or promote the idea of “trying to understand why they became the way they are”. “There is no man that seeks after God, no, not even one”. Isn’t that explanation enough? People live in sin because they prefer their sin over obedience to the Law.

Now you seem to be suggesting that I’m cruelly lashing out, or at least that I’m a supporter of such heartless outbursts. That’s not true at all, not that I care to defend myself. I can tell you that I have personal experience preaching the Word of God to three homosexual individuals. One of them is walking in repentance, one thinks he is walking in repentance, and one couldn’t even hear me.

The first man heard the bold Truth spoken in Love by others and myself according to the Word of God. He has turned from the act, and has acknowledged that his defensive posture is wicked. He no longer makes excuses or justifications. He has been shown that the confusion of homosexuality was put on him because of his pride. Pride that he inherited from his parents. He knows the Lord subjected him to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Hope. He can give thanks for the whole thing, and for the Grace the Lord has given him to receive the Truth. I’m sure he’d have no problem testifying to these things before you.
The second individual, however, although he has put away the physical act of sin and professes Christ, still gets offended on behalf of homosexuals. He still defends them, like Christa does, saying that I don’t understand them. This man has not left his sin behind. The gospel that was preached to him in the churches delivered him of the act of homosexuality but not the proud defensive spirit that is the source of the act. Truly, he’s in worse shape than the third man, who couldn’t even understand me. There you have it, the hot, the lukewarm, and the cold.

I hope this helps to explain why I’m preaching here. I see Christa defending homosexuals and other gross identities from what she claims is a mocking tirade. Whether or not she knows it (and that’s why I’m trying to show her), she is getting offended on behalf of sinners because the Truth is being spoken. The woman in the video is not wrong in what she said or how she said it, and it doesn’t seem like any of you can show otherwise. You’re only criticizing me without substance like you criticized her.

You see, that’s the problem with forming relationships with sinners and trying to understand how they became the way they are. You end up sympathizing with the flesh and protecting it from judgment. It’s true that we have no place condemning sinners, but we also have no business countenancing sin in the Name of God.

Joe your claim that “the only way you will help them realize that God is the true way is by listening to them first,” is nonsense. Where in the Scriptures are you finding this? Give me proof, not just opinion. The Lord’s Resurrection Power is not limited by our ability to empathize with sin. You are preaching the same false gospel that Christa is.

“Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”

This passage is essentially the sum of the matter, wouldn’t you say?

Christa Smith says:

So,I talked to the minister after our service and he said I am not doomed to hell for having compassion on homosexuals. “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”. Jesus said that for the people who hung him on the cross. I am not doomed to he’ll for not sharing that some else feels I should. I am not doomed to he’ll for saying there is more to sexual sins than a person’s desire to commit evil. And at this point I trust my minister, the bible, and my gut. They are all agreeing. And since the bible is always true and the minister studies it being guided by the Holy Spirit and my gut is rarely wrong I think I will err on the side of compassion

Martin Van Popta says:

Christa, I can address a few of the things you’re saying here.

First of all, I don’t believe you’re going to an infinite fiery hole because of your false doctrine. In fact, your doctrine of infinite damnation is also evil. The Lord has no intention of annihilating souls for billions of years. I believe you are in Hell right now, because that’s where we are until our will begins aligning with His.

You’ll be worshiping Jesus Christ with me, after He corrects you. But I’m quite certain the homosexuals and the harlots will enter into His Kingdom before you do.

So, no, you are absolutely not doomed for infinite torment like I’m assuming you believe so many others are, but I do expect you’ll have to learn the hard way.

And, Christi, not once did I suggest you had an obligation to share the woman’s video upon pain of death and hell. You’re making all this up because you don’t like being corrected. Nevertheless, the Lord is here correcting you.

Let me show you in your most recent post where you are differing with God.

You say, “And at this point I trust my minister, the bible, and my gut.” And, “my gut is rarely wrong.”

And yet, the Bible you claim is in agreement with your gut/heart says the following about trusting your “gut”.

Jeremiah 17:5 – “Thus says the Lord: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.”

Jeremiah 17:9 – “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

Philipians 3:3 – “For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.”

Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Proverbs 28:26 -“He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.”

And as for Jesus Christ forgiving the Jews who knew not what they were doing, take a look at the last 2000 years of history.

Yes, Jesus Christ had to forgive those who killed Him, just as we have to forgive those who wrong us, but look what happened to the Jews. They’ve experienced 2000 years of persecution and it’s not over yet. It’s been a bloodbath. Jesus was here on Earth as a man, and as a man, vengeance was not His. In His glorious perfection, He had no bitterness. But the Father in Heaven was and is angry, and history testifies that His Wrath has been poured out.

Don’t expect anything different for those who trample and defile the image they were created in! And don’t presume He’ll think lightly of your dismissal of His Word being delivered to you today.

Can’t you see that you’re at enmity with Him and His Word? You don’t have a clue who God is or what you’re talking about!

Lord, let those who have ears, hear!

Christa Smith says:

Sorry bud. You gotta get a life. Seriously. My gut is in complete agreement with scripture. Guess you forgot to read that part. Sorry. I am “gutting” myself laughing here. Would you just get over yourself already. My minister delivered the word very clear today and I accept his word and the gospel message.

Christa Smith says:

Your last post just proved to me that you cannot be taken seriously because you deny scripture. There is a fiery he’ll and it doesn’t last billions of years. It lasts for eternity. And for you to deny a basic scripture truth while spewing bible verse after bible verse for whatever reason you feel like keeping this thing going is evil. Jesus clearly taught he’ll was real and fiery and lasting for eternity. The only reason I was laughing is because I put that piece about my gut in the last post as a sort of play on words, and to lighten the atmosphere a bit and you took it so seriously. Just so you know,i believe in all the bible texts you quoted. This is last reply I give.

Martin Van Popta says:

So there it is, Christa. You’re permitted to mock me for speaking the Truth, but the woman in the video can’t laugh at people thinking they’re cats.

It’s quite convenient for you that this hell topic came up, isn’t it? Because this whole situation was bothering your conscience and now you think you’ve been handed a “get out of jail free card”. Truly, it will be the opposite. You will remain in prison until you pay the last penny.

You’re a wicked hypocrite, Christa. You preach that mocking is evil and yet you mock. You preach a gospel that “errs on the side of compassion” and yet you believe God hurls people He has pre-ordained as vessels of dishonor into the excruciating torment for infinity. I believe you are that evil, but my God is not.

You’re wrong and you know it. That’s why you’re justifying yourself. You don’t believe the Scriptures or you would heed them. Professing them without obedience is a dangerous profession.

I will not hold them guiltless, who take My Name in vain.

Elizabeth Smith says:

I feel like we are all on the same side. The Bible clearly speaks out against homosexuality. While it doesn’t speak out against gender identity, I still believe it to be unbiblical. I don’t believe that by sitting back and allowing the world to dictate laws promoting homosexuality etc. that we are doing the world a favour. However, by the very fact that people are just that, people, they are deserving of our respect. I don’t know of anyone who was won over for Christ because they felt disrespected and had the Bible thrown at them. Nor do I know of anyone who was won over for Christ who was allowed and encouraged to continue living in sin. On the one hand, both Martin and Jeanie are encouraging us to stand up for what is right and to preach the gospel truth boldly. Christa would also like to preach the truth, but reminds us to remember that we cannot fathom what these people have experienced in their lives and is encouraging us to do so with compassion and without passing judgement. Hell is a very real and terrible place. We owe it to everyone we meet to try to encourage them to think about where they plan to spend eternity. This life is merely a small speck on a rope that continues on forever. However, we too must be ready to stand before the Lord one day and face judgement on how we treated our fellow man. I don’t want to compromise my beliefs for the sake of the popular ideas of today. I will not condone homosexuality, gender disphoria, or other sins, but I will choose to embrace my fellow dinner and encourage them, like Jesus, to go and sin no more.

Martin Van Popta says:

Elizabeth Smith, Christa’s compassion is a forgery, which has been amply exposed by her “gutting” herself mocking me, which ironically was her main accusation against this woman in the video.

If Christa has so much compassion for lost sinners, then why doesn’t she have any for me? The doctrine your churches profess states that I’m going to burn in Hell endlessly for rejecting the doctrine of Hell that you preach (how’s that for irony). I don’t see her searching out my past and trying to understand me. She’s written me off, even to the point of ridicule.

The problem is that the True Nature of Christ is not taught in the churches anymore and so she doesn’t know what Jesus Christ is all about.

Your churches preach a tripolar god who apparently teaches endless compassion, tolerance, and forgiveness for those who continue in gross sin. That is …. until a person’s heart stops beating. At that point, your god loses it and lights people on fire for zillions of years.

Is it any surprise that Christa continually contradicted the Scripture? She thinks she worships the God who wrote them, but she doesn’t. Believing in God isn’t just a matter of saying that you do. You actually have to believe what He says. How does it make sense any other way?

There, that’s Hell. Separation from God, without knowing it. But I know that Jesus will come to her and redeem her from the pit. It may not be this lifetime, but He has the victory over everything and everyone.

Diabolical Doctrine – Never-ending Torment

Martin Van Popta says:

Athanasian Creed – final portion:

“From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. At whose coming, all men shall rise again with their bodies; And shall give an account of their own works. And they that have done good shall go into life everlasting and they that have done evil into everlasting fire.”

This is the catholic faith, which except a man believe faithfully, he CANNOT be saved.

I just wanted to demonstrate that your church believes I am destined to infinite torment, even though I’ve turned from my sin and testify of His Righteousness.

Christa Smith says:

Martin Van Popta. I would like to apologize for my earlier sin of laughing at your response. I should have tried to understand you and why you were responding the way you were. Please forgive me. I am willing to talk any time you want.

Martin Van Popta says:

Forgiven, Christa. Are you willing to try to understand me, now?

Here’s our situation as I see it. I’ve given you the Truth, and it’s troubling you, and you’ll have to decide whether to give the Truth a fair hearing.

I can understand where you are coming from with the concern and argument you bring forward, but it’s corrupt as all of us are before we get honest with God and He makes us whole.

I don’t doubt that you have compassion and concern for these people who’ve had rough lives and have bound themselves in their sin, but pity without wisdom is a brother to evil. You aren’t “despising even the garment stained by the flesh”.

Let me put it in a picture. There are many ways to end up in a pit. Some are pushed in, some are blind and fall in, some ignore Godly counsel and play too close to edge and slide in, while others jump in with or without warning. There are even those who are born in the pit.

But does it matter?

For myself, I can honestly say that I was all of those people. I was blind, but I was warned. I also played with fire and was manipulated and influenced by others, even being tied up in one instance.

But there I was, in the pit. Then God reached down with His Word and pulled me out. It’s not the arm of flesh the reached me. It wasn’t pity (I had plenty of that for myself). It was the conviction that I was evil, and that I had to stop being evil. That coupled with the faith that God was there to deliver me, and I am free in Him.

You’ll not find Jesus analyzing or even discussing anyone’s background. When the woman at the well admitted she wasn’t married, Jesus’ response was basically, “Yes, that’s true, you’re a whore. Stop sinning”. He didn’t inquire into her past, nor did He instruct His disciples to do so. She was given to receive Him regardless of how easily she could have taken offense. Repentance is a gift the Lord gives. It’s not something we can strategize.

I’m not saying we can’t have compassion. Some people have had rough lives. No doubt about it. But not only are you pitying people who won’t repent, you’re condemning those who speak the Truth boldly. You are defending flesh on behalf of the flesh. You have lifted yourself up as the compassionate one, when, like all flesh, nothing good dwells in you.

I’m thankful that you’ve apologized to me, but it’s God that you’re sinning against. Your religious stance is mocking Him. You need to put away your false Christianity and earnestly seek Him as He is.

I know that I seem like a preachy, self-righteous know-it-all. I know I would have felt that way about me in the past. But that’s not what’s happening. I’ve been sent by God to call people away from the phony, sappy, seductive harlot. She comes to thieve, kill, and destroy, but Jesus Christ comes to give life and to give it abundantly!

Christa, your god hasn’t delivered you from yourself. My God can do that for you!

Is There Hope for Me If I Turn Away from God?

Is there any reconciliation between Scriptures like "If we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us" or "you will find Me, if you seek Me with all your heart" and verses like Heb 6:1-8, which seem to describe the unpardonable sin? How can know unequivocally that he or she has committed it? Are there testimonies of persons who were truly converted returning to God after going back into a sinful life? Please respond..."

Generational Curses and Reversing Them

From: Raul To: The Path of Truth Sent: Tuesday, June 14, 2016 11:06 AM Subject: Quick Question. .Hello,I wanted to ask if you believe in generational curses? Some doctrines say Jesus finish e everything in the cross,  so there is no generational curses for a new born in Christ. Can you explain ? I am very confuse because i myself felt at times as if i had generational curses from my ancestors. My life is not success in Jesus and don't understand why. Here is his letter: From: Felix To: The Path of Truth Sent: Sunday, May 29, 2016 8:50 AMThanks for your nice piece, l have understood that God curses come as a result of being disobedient to him, that is not obeying His Laws. But is there anything like generational curse? Because when u read 2kings14:5-6 it says that it is written in the book of law that parents are not to be put to death for crimes committed by their children and children are not to be put to death for the crimes committed by their parents; a person is to be put to death only for a crime he himself has committed.Jer.31:29-30 Eze.18:1-32 Job.21:19-20These three chapters in the bible also state it clear that nobody is punished cos of the sins of his/her parents but everyone will be judged according to his/her deeds so where...

The Tyranny of Pride

Why are we not offended at insults and evils done to us? It is because God has removed the power and burden of pride in us. He has crucified our egos, which are a hindrance to any man or woman who desires to be free and live life to the fullest.
