Can You Vote for a Politician to Turn Men to God?

I believe we spoke on the phone about the sea mineral products from Ag Life a couple years ago. I recall they helped your personal health a great deal. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am glad you have written and opened up the opportunity to visit with you on the issues of Life.

On the topic of voting as true Christians, I would like to direct you to a series of letters on our website, in which the Lord gave our brother Victor wisdom and direction for those who profess to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ:

I will also make some comments below in the points you listed and in the rest of your letter (posted in blue).

Jason: Hello all,

The Lord has been speaking to us (The two or more prayer gathering) to make specific requests before Him in prayer. Not just generalized prayers. So I wanted to share with you our (Amanda and I's) prayer focus for Super Tuesday.

1. Men that have a personal relationship with Jesus and can hear his voice would be set as those in authority over us.

Paul: The Lord does set those who hear His voice in authority over His sheep. These are His undershepherds, like Peter, Who minister Christ to those who believe:

“Give ear to those who are rulers over you, and do as they say: for they keep watch over your souls, ready to give an account of them; let them be able to do this with joy and not with grief, because that would be of no profit to you” (Hebrews 13:17 BBE).

As for rulers of this world, we trust the wisdom of God to appoint whom He will. Those may not be, and most often are not, men who have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. But we have this assurance:

“Let every soul be subject to the higher authorities. For there is no authority but of God; the authorities that exist are ordained by God” (Romans 13:1 MKJV).

Our Kingdom is not of this world, though we live in it and follow the exhortation of Paul the apostle:

“First of all, then, I exhort that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2 MKJV).

Jason: 2. People's choice for president would not be motivated by fear, but rather people would vote on principle and what they know is right in their hearts.

Paul: Judging men by how they vote or what their policies are is like judging whether one is Christ’s by the doctrines he espouses. The Pharisees had many true doctrines, yet they crucified the Christ. The people who were not learned in the Scriptures believed and were saved. You ought not to be trusting your eyes or your heart:

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9 MKJV)

Jason: 3. God's people would see their responsibility to pray and vote.

Paul: See For Whom Do We Vote? There is a godly, responsible way to vote, but not as you think.

Jason: 4. The Republican candidate will not just be pro life, but be committed to changing the laws and the hearts of the people when it comes to the issue of abortion.

Paul: Abortion is a terrible wrong, no doubt, but is that all that is wrong with the United States? Isn’t that a symptom instead of being the cause of the problems? You must have learned from your work in agricultural soil amendments that applying N-P-K is not enough; it is not even a good practice to begin with. You need to deal with the overall method of farming and total soil health for a proper solution.

You are trying to apply political N-P-K and call it the solution. It may appear to work for a while, but it only makes matters worse in the end.

How well have the anti-abortion Presidents served the United States? I am not speaking in favor of abortion or against anti-abortion candidates, but I point out the truth (to which the facts attest). Anti-abortion Presidents have presided over great degradation and moral corruption just as much as, and more than, the neutral or pro-abortion Presidents. America went from the greatest creditor to greatest debtor nation on earth under Reagan. And look at what is happening under Bush. The foundation is rotting, no one has been willing to admit it and address the underlying causes, so the whole superstructure is about to collapse.

Are these men totally responsible? No. America needs repentance. Everyone needs repentance. Evil fruits come to foster what is truly needed.

Jason: There are many on the conservative right that are saying that a vote for Huckabee is vote for John McCain because Huckabee does not have a chance at winning. This is just not true. I have been crunching the numbers myself and know that this is untrue.

As I have been praying about this election, I was tempted to become depressed over the whole situation and felt tempted to change my vote because of what the situation looked like from afar. But than I realized that is exactly what the enemy is trying to accomplish. He wants us scary "Little Christs" to stop moving forward. He can't stop the kingdom of heaven, but he can trick us into stopping.

Paul: The Kingdom of Heaven does not come by the governments of men. Daniel interpreted the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, which showed that the kingdoms of men, though ordained by God, were not given to bring in His Kingdom, but to be put away by the coming of His Kingdom on earth, which is not the work of men’s hands. Read Daniel 2.

Jason: The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. De 31.8

Paul: That is only if you are following Him, Jason. If He is not in your work, and He is not, you cannot presume His victory. Read The True Marks of a Cult, Is Your Profession of Faith Vain, Christian?, and Submission According to God.

Jason: The Lord loves to take the least likely, the one who doesn't have a chance and make him his Man. The Bible is filled with these characters. Great men and women who started out as nobodies with no bright future. David, Gideon, Esther, Nehemiah, and so on. I believed the result of the Super Bowl is a prophetic sign of this very thing. Many pundits, analysts, and sports "authorities" are eating humble pie this morning because they had this one wrapped up before it ever got started. It was the very overconfidence of the Patriots that led to their downfall. The hero of the game that now has a super bowl ring was the same guy that the people of New York wanted run out of town on a rail at the beginning of the season. But you know what, he didn't give up and he is now their man; the one who gave New York one of the greatest super bowl victories of all time and downed Goliath.

Paul: What you are describing is Baal worship, which is another name for hero worship. Among the saints, there are no heroes. It is the Lord Who causes us to will and to do of His good pleasure; we are simply unprofitable servants. The heroes of your Super Bowl games have parades so the worshipers can come and pay homage to them, but when anyone acts that way towards the saints of God, they forbid it:

“And the priest of Jupiter, being before their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, wishing to sacrifice with the crowds. But hearing this, the apostles Barnabas and Paul tore their clothes and ran in among the people, crying out and saying, Men, why do you do these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preaching the gospel to you to turn you from these vanities to the living God, Who made the Heaven and the earth and the sea, and all things in them” (Acts 14:13-15 MKJV).

Jason: This election is an opportunity for seeing the Kingdom of Heaven advanced in our nation. It is not time to become discouraged or disheartened, it is time to fight in prayer and in deed. So basically I say all of that to say this. PRAY! VOTE!

Paul: The Kingdom of God advances when people repent and walk in obedience to God by faith. This is an internal matter, not determined or influenced by the externals you promote.

Jason: "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. 2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. " Isaiah 60:1-2

I voted for Mike Huckabee (in the early voting) because he supports:
1. A constitutional amendment reaffirming the rights on unborn babies. (Called right to life)
2. I believe he has a personal relationship with Jesus
3. He is in favor of the fair tax and eliminating the income tax

Paul: Does Mike Huckabee have an intimate relationship with the Lord? Baptists, of which denomination and work of men he is an ordained minister, teach against the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Of this holy event, Jesus said to His disciples:

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth, Whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, because He abides with you and shall be in you” (John 14:16-17 EMTV).

If Mike has not been baptized in the Spirit, how can he truly know Christ, Whose Spirit we have received? There are many other indicators (read the two writings I sent you), though one would have to have the Lord’s Spirit to discern these things.

Jason: Also, if you support Mike Huckabee, you can go to mikehuckabee.com and see ways to volunteer; like calling five people. Unlike the other candidates, Huckabee depends on all volunteers to campaign. They are asking supporters to call five people from their phone bank today or tomorrow. There is a script and its not that bad if you want to give it try. I only had one person hang up on me, everybody is usually pretty nice or just don't answer. It really does make a difference though, because people are influenced by your passion. :-)
