No, We Can't!

“Yes, We Can!” was the 44th President of the United States’ campaign declaration to win the confidence of the people, motivating them to overcome their many and varied difficulties, beginning by voting for him.

The apostle Paul said, however:

“I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13 MKJV).

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the One Who stilled furious tempests, healed all that were sick, and Who raised the dead, said this:

“Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of Himself but what He sees the Father do. For whatever things He does, these also the Son does likewise” (John 5:19 MKJV).

And this: “I can do nothing of My own self. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of the Father Who has sent Me” (John 5:30 MKJV).

And this: “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:4 MKJV).

Did Jesus say, “Together, we can do whatever needs to be done”? Did He say, “I can’t, but WE can”?

Why did not President Obama tell the people that without the Son, we can do nothing? Does he know that the electorate does not want to hear that? Does he realize that the people would rather have a hero than a Savior? Does he realize that they would sooner identify with him than with Jesus Christ? Or is it true that President Obama is a Muslim, and as such, does not believe that God has a Son?

Whether he is a Muslim or not, whether he professes to believe in the Son of God or not, he did not mention the fact that without the Son, we can do nothing.

The Son Himself, Almighty God in the flesh, taking on the weakness of man, declared that without the Father, He could do nothing.

But the President of the U.S. says, “Yes, we can.” Is he not saying that the American people can, by their own volition and power, dig themselves out of a deep quagmire of financial debt, corruption, crime, violence, sickness, poverty, and whatever other trouble there is? Is he not omitting Jesus Christ, our One and Only Hope, from the equation? If he is, then what does he do with Jesus’ words? Is he aware of them? If he is aware of them, does he or does he not believe them? Apparently not.

Mr. Obama attended church for many years, particularly Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s church in Chicago. Did he not hear the claims of Jesus Christ? If he heard, does he believe them?

One may argue that the words I quote of Jesus were only for His disciples and that He was speaking in spiritual terms. So then I ask, “Where do we draw the line between spiritual and physical, religious and secular, reality and make-believe, truth and error…between the weakness (or presumed strength) of man and the sure might of God?”

Did not God create the physical? Does He not care about what He has created and what man is doing with it all? He certainly does!

"And the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to do work in it and take care of it" (Genesis 2:15 BBE).

Did not Jesus send His disciples to a sick, diseased, troubled, hurting world of the kind found in the present warp and woof of the United States? Did He not send them out to teach the world the right way of living on earth? Was not His intention to save the world, fully knowing that it cannot save itself?

Does President Obama really believe that Americans can rescue themselves? Does he not see that for thousands of years, men everywhere in the world have miserably failed to live the kind of life that Jesus sent His disciples to teach and preach to the world? Does he not know or believe that Jesus Christ took upon Himself the only solution, laying down His life so that men might be able to believe in God and have the abundant life available only through Him?

Can we do it, as President Obama declares? Not without Jesus Christ, we can’t. If the Son of God, being sinless, and the Express and Perfect Example of mankind, could do nothing without the Father, how can we wretched sinners do anything without Jesus Christ? Just who are wretched, lost sinners to say, “Yes, we can”? Why did President Obama not include Jesus Christ in the equation of God?

(32) Then everyone who shall confess Me before men, I will confess him before My Father Who is in Heaven.
(33) But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven.

Is it not the voice of pride, the voice of the sufficiency of man independent of God, that says, “Yes, we can”? Does President Obama think himself greater or more viable an option than Jesus Christ?

Why does nobody stand up and say, “We can do all things through Christ (and only through Christ) Who strengthens us”? Is it not because Jesus is not wanted by Americans? Is it any wonder America is in the horrible mess it is in?

Is it not true that Americans are damned, even as Reverend Wright declares? People don’t want to hear it, but Reverend Wright is right when he shouts, “God bless America? God bless America? No, no, no! God damn America!” Wright is right, whether or not I agree or disagree with anything else he says. America is damned, and only a damned, ignorant, blind, stubborn, proud, and wicked fool will deny it.

Look around, Americans! Can you really say you are blessed? You have been blessed, greatly so, in spite of yourselves, and you still have some pitiful remnants of that blessing, but how can you let yourselves be deceived into thinking the blessing will continue indefinitely? Now the wrath of God is vented upon America. Look around! Are you blind, Americans?

Have you already forgotten 9/11? Do you not believe there is more to come? America, you are sick, without decent medical care. You are drugged with illegal and legal drugs, both of which are obscenely immoral, killing people by the hundreds of thousands, if not millions. Look at your record and example of “caring” for the sick! Watch Michael Moore’s SICKO and tell me if those things are not true! How could you?

Many are religious in all hypocrisy and sham, using God’s Name in vain while robbing their neighbors. Your pastors are vile, feeding themselves in sex, luxury, and violence, without shame. Your churches, prayers, religious works, and devotions are a sham, a foul stench in God’s nostrils. And you really don’t care, do you! And if you did care, can you do anything about it? Can you honestly say, without Christ, “Yes, we can”?

Will He let you?

Every vile thing is found in you, America. You pollute your bodies, your homes, your lands, and your neighbor’s wives. You are proud, arrogant, ignorant, gluttonous, drunken, pleasure-loving, obese, adulterous, lawless, selfish, greedy, violent, sexually perverse, deceptive, and corrupt in every way.

Look at your leaders - your politicians, lawmakers, enforcers, and judges. How many are bought and paid for by criminal organizations and multinational conglomerates that tyrannize the whole earth? Rapacious, murderous pharmaceutical and medical corporations and associations are wanton predators killing and feeding on carrion they have made by their sales of drugs and works of sorceries and witchcrafts. America is not only sick, it is vile and rotten at the core. It is infested with cancer and stinks to death.

God’s judgment has come to America, and America swoons and drools over a man who has presumed to be a savior in place of the One and Only Savior there is – Jesus Christ!

How about repentance, Mr. Obama? How about telling the people the truth about themselves, that they need to repent, to turn from their ungodliness, their hideous sins of crime and violence, of selfish, perverse lifestyles? What makes you think that opening the purse and handing your teenage son money to spend as he pleases is going to save him from the consequences of carousing, reveling, getting drunk, doing drugs, fornicating, brawling, lying, cheating, and stealing? What makes you think that giving the unregenerate heart what it desires, indeed demands, is going to change that heart? Wherever in the Bible have you ever found such misleading, socialistic, do-gooder notions?

Can we? No, we can’t! No, we can’t! NO, WE CAN’T! Not without repentance from our sins and turning to the Lord Jesus Christ. But President Obama and the Democrats and indeed all politicians know full well that to include Jesus Christ in their platform is equal to putting a knife to one’s throat. It is instant political suicide. So He is omitted.

Americans do not want their Savior, the Only Answer to their ills, because they wish to keep their sins. They would sooner have a hero, so hero-addicted they are in their vain imaginations. They believe that heroes who love to be worshipped will let them have their cake and eat it too – heroes and hero worshippers, scratching one anothers’ backs. Americans are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, so they are damned. Yes, they are damned. So God sends them what they ask for – a hero, Mr. Barack Obama.

Prove me wrong! I would be glad for you to do so. But you won't, and you know it. God will prove me right, and you know that as well. Do you really think things will soon turn around, permitting you to continue in your sins? Think again! God is finished winking. He will tolerate your iniquity no longer. He is done with it.

That goes not only for America. Consider the Hell breaking forth all over the world. The earth is covered with violence, as in Noah’s day. As in Noah’s day when God’s judgment came, so in this day it comes, only hotter.

Just in case it is not too late for any to repent, do so quickly, completely, and permanently! It is your only hope. You will not be able to vote, earn, work, buy, steal, wish, hope, or talk your way out of trouble. Your trouble will not go away; it will only compound as you resist and refuse to obey your One God, the Creator of all. Your trouble is God’s judgment on your sins.

Repent; change your mind and your lifestyle by calling on Jesus Christ to deliver you from your corruption, which only He, as the only true God and Savior, can do. There is no other option.

No, you can’t. Only Jesus Christ can. Don’t allow yourselves to believe that you can, unless you are brought to that place by Him to say these words with honesty, understanding, and full conviction:

“I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13 MKJV).

All of America from the greatest to the least, both rich and poor, religious and nonreligious, needs to repent of all sins. God has been sounding the warning by many spokespersons for many decades; I have been warning for decades, and now the damnation is here, as warned. Nobody has listened; they have only hated us for our warnings, despising us as fools.

Unless America repents, America has seen nothing yet of the Death and Hell approaching and already entering the houses. The present woes as of March 2009 are but a picnic. Sadly, you’ll see.

No, we can’t, and only Jesus Christ can. Will you turn to Him and submit to Him as Lord, obeying His commandments?

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God, and keep His commandments. For this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good, or whether evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 MKJV).
