False Associations

This claim was posted on Gene Shaparenko’s website, in order to market the device he sells, the Vitalizer Plus, while at the same time he derided what he perceives to be his competition, Grander Water Revitalization (a system bearing the name of its inventor, which has third party verification):

For many years, Dr. Mu Shik Jhon has known that the regular consumption of Hexagonal Water could provide innumerable health benefits. However, during the last few years he has seen his work finally bear fruit with the development of technology like the Vitalizer Plus™.

Paul Cohen contacted the Korean Academy of Science and Technology, asking what the association was between Prof. Mu Shik Jhon's book The Water Puzzle and the Hexagonal Key and those who are marketing their devices using (abusing?) his name and research.

Here is their reply:

Dear Profs. Ruth Arnon and Paul Cohen,

Thank you for your concern on Prof. Mu Shik Jhon.
I contacted Dr. Young In Jhon, Prof. Jhon's youngest son, to find out the truth.

It's sure that Prof. Jhon wrote the book, The Water Puzzle and the Hexagonal Key.

Nevertheless, niether he nor all of his family members know that the book was misused to sell a device called the "Vitalizer Plus". I have been informed that Prof. Jhon received Vitalizer Plus as a gift once. But, that's it. No more relation with Vitalizer Plus.

Actually, similar situation occured in Korea when Prof. Jhon published his theory on 'hexagonal water.'

Many devices came into the market with a notice 'Device Prof. Jhon approved', even though Prof. Jhon had never approved or endored them.

I hope this make situation clear.

Once again, thank you for your concern on Prof. Jhon.

Paul’s note to Gene:

Gene,

File this with your water information, for those who might be interested in the truth, or if you need to remind yourself of the truth now and then.

Where is the expose of our web page? You keep promising but never deliver. What is the problem? What of the 35,000 people a day who come to your site (as you report)? You leave them with no sure word or direction, these many months later?

What a liar you are! A complete and total bullshitter, if there ever was one. You have nothing, but because you act like King Kong, you too must have your fall. You insist on destroying yourself. Knock yourself out.

After this note, Gene did indeed knock himself out and posted the expose of our site, highlighting Paul’s last paragraph as a prime example of one not walking in a “Christian” attitude. Now you have the whole context and can see for yourself how well the description fits.

Whether the Vitalizer Plus works is not the issue. The issue is that Gene rabidly attacks another product, one that makes no pretense of endoresments that do not exist, while implying false associations for his own product by using another's life work to sell it. He does the same thing with the Lord Jesus Christ, stealing His credibility to presumptuously sell himself as someone to be heeded and respected. He does not identify with the Lord, but appropriates His identity and righteousness for himself. That is despicable.
