Notes to Joseph

In the midst of our conversation with Joseph Saigal, he sent to us these notes in support of his position:

Brother Joseph,

As you know, I am not a fan for open 'discussion' as so much of it gets distorted and mis-interpreted.

However, as far as William Branham being a prophet, all one has to do is to compare his testimony with Deuteronomy 18 17-22.

Plus, there is only one way to salvation: Galatians 3-11 and Ephesians 2-8. Only predestinated Sons can receive the revelation and be born again.

The ultimate revelation required is the same as Peter shared as the keys to The Kingdom Mathew 16 13-20.

The rest I will share with you when we meet. Not everything can be opened up in a few sentences.

Bro, hear me....no matter what you say to this man ,it will be a waste of your time which could be put to better use......There is no place in him for the Word,or for the real love of the Word...The statements against Bro Branham is nothing more than an attack from Satan......Your best to leave this man to his own devices....

No good can come replying ,back and forth to try and win him.....I really think he has crosed the line...Pray for him..YES,....but that is all......His understanding of the Word,and Holy Bible is as one intent on destroying himself.......Mostly ,its clear he has no fear of God ...So makes statements to strike and shake insults at you..He is enjoying doing this, as he knows its hurting you.......We stand with the Prophet.You and I..He is our absolute,because bro Branham made God his absolute.....If this man showed even a small bit of love,there could be hope for him....But the spirit of Satan is from start to finish....in this letter...We are to love and pray for folk like Paul.....But to carry on with him....no.!..Turn him over to the Holy Spirit...God will deal with him.

Bro. Joseph,

Remember where we are and who we are and where we are! This man is boasting about things he knows nothing about. I must admit I agree with first part saying much of the Branham followers are Branhamites, and are not as one because they are pushing their own adjendas rather than the Lords. But you cannot judge a man by his followers. Jesus is the leader of the Catholic Church and the Prodestant Churches also, but we do not judge Jesus by the followers, especially ones that
never knew the author of the book.

So yes there is a lot of confusion in this message, and that is not of God! But again Brother Branham taught us that the good eating was always near the scare crows? 'Confusion' in this case, is clearly the scare crow, as was in Jesus' day. They had real persecution - to scare people away. Here in America it's the stigma and "fear of Anti-Christ and false prophets". But our God is not a God of fear, and the elected will not be deceived. The Lord Jesus was in Brother Branhams words. God only respects his prophets words not this man's. But what authority does he think it is OK to condemn William Branham's words?

He thinks he can destroy all of his life's work with a few defamatory sentences? And only his understanding of a complete life by these few derogatory words?

This man is insane to me and no different than people Jude speaks of here:

8 In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings.

9 But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"

10 Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals—these are the very things that destroy them.

If William Branham is a false prophet where is the real one? William Branham made the word so real to me that he has restored my faith in God and Jesus Christ when church and religion rejected me. I remember back in 1976 I was converted from being a Catholic to a Christian and was strongly seeking the truth of the Word. And I had been a Christian for 6 months hearing each week about Jesus on the cross and come accept salvation. And as bad as this sounded I was very tired of hearing about Jesus on the cross. I wanted him off the cross finally. Looking back now I understand better because of the scriptures, being that God is raising a generation that cannot drink milk all of their lives, I needed some stronger food to stay alive. At the time I was in a Nazerene church, but I did not understand their church does not believe in the Holy Ghost movement at all, but instead called it of the Devil, ...wow! But I remember I was desperate at the time for God to show me more than what I was getting at that church so I went to the alter and prayed and of course they were all pleased because they figured I was excepting the Lord in my heart which was not true but I did not say a word because they wouldn't have liked my reasons for coming to the alter.

Very shortly after that prayer, I lead my brother who was a sinner to this message and as things happened I didn't know about healing but I read this in the Bible and believed what I read. My brother was dying at the time (only had a few months to live) and I offered to pray for his healing if he would believe what I said. He remarked "what do you know that 3 doctors do not?" I spoke to him of what the Bible said and that all things were possible if he would believe.

Personally, I have more faith in William Branham than I do my own salvation. So I am quite offended at this man (Cohen's) words. We need to pray for him because it is clear to me he is lost like so many others, but very close to the truth also which is very sad to see. Yes Jesus is the only way and I would hate to hear this man's teaching on the seals, the book of Revelations, the Church Ages, and other things. If he imagines Jesus on the cross is the only thing that is important, he is
correct to say we must realize all we do good is Jesus, and maybe every time William Branham spoke, this did not come across as the main issue but if you understand the man and his life you would know Jesus was behind the words he spoke. Even though this man's education maybe more than the prophet's I would not trust a word he says. He has no vindication or power but just prefers arguing. William Branham's proof was come stand next to me and argue, then we can see who's god is God. This was his comment to a group of 300 ministers saying the same damaging words about his doctrine in the end.

Jesus did the same when he taught you must drink my blood and eat my flesh. But these sort can live eternally off milk and never care for meat of the Word:

1 Corinthians 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

Ministers do not teach meat so their followers never rise above them, so they argue points they have no understanding of, they still think the trinity is OK, name of Baptism doesn't matter as long as you repent, it is OK to follow doctrine based upon only one scripture, father son and holy ghost. - Ever learning but never coming to the truth to be set free. I do not think the man deserves a response because he knows all he wants to know unless you just ask him to tell you more his heart is against you. I will say this much about his comment about no man is good. My other brother says this to me often to prove to me Jesus is nothing more than a good man. I say to you that same Jesus said to the woman at the well he was a prophet, a man and a messiah, and God because she could recieve it. God is gracious but he cannot give you something you cannot receive.

Jesus did no miracles in his home area because they could not recieve it. Jesus told that man no man is good because that is what that man thought and Jesus told us his thoughts because he was a hypocite and a liar to call Jesus good when he did not believe that! I tell you this man is the same type of man and God will judge him according to his own words.

If I have not covered anything let me know I feel I have said more than I should about this. After Jesus was tempted by the devil angels seemed to always come around and comfort him. The Battle today is for the hearts and minds of men, not Jesus on the cross. The ressurected Jesus is what seperated Jesus from all the other good men or prophets. Death is about to be swallowed in victory by the sons of God, these people looking back to a historical Jesus Christ will be judged by his message. The religious mob in Jesus' day will be judged by Moses message, as Jesus said. And even William Branham's message was only good if you recieved it. Judgement awaits them that do not. So really we should pray for them.

I had never heard of him before. The same Jesus, with whom he claims to have a unique relationship, will be his judge for rejecting His prophet's message for this day. If he had only taken the time to truly listen, instead of picking and choosing isolated comments and prayers, he would have seen who Br. Branham really was, and how he truly gave his life for Christ. To judge someone by the manner in which they die is just plain infantile. Sounds like one of those who taunted Christ at the cross to me. You know, we might not always agree with a minister or evangelist. But we do not start a smear campaign against the person, because to do so is like murdering them. We were not taught to do that by Christ, or by Br. Branham. If you go to this person's web page, you will see that he has devoted it to smearing others. The very best advice I can offer here comes from the King James bible that Paul Cohen hates so much and it goes like this:

Psalms 37

Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

We are not to be his judge. His own words mark him for judgment, which is the Lord's. I would just leave this alone. This man will not listen, because his mind is made up.

Brother Joseph,

Paul may well have signed his own death warrant with this letter, if not before. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost IS unforgivable.

What he says about our dying and Christ living, true. What he says about squabbles among Christians. True.

Even what he says about many "Branhamite churches" not preaching Calvary ... sadly, that is true. But not so for the message itself. Just the one tape, "Is your life worthy of the gospel" would dispel any question about Bro. Branham speaking of our need for trusting in Calvary.

But he is missing the path to the very life he professes he either wants or has. He even sets aside the Bible, which, when received by revelation, Jesus says the Words are "spirit and life."

He is picking and choosing his quotes from Brother Branham. If he were to look into the whole of the message, it does not, at all, paint the picture he has conceived. My guess is he is reading the message, seeking to find fault. You get what you look for.

We went to the message and found Life.

He speaks of the "Life of Christ" ... and here the son of man has been revealed in the very ministry he rejects.

His letter depicts the darkness that is settling in on "Christianity" outside the message.

Rev. 3:20 --- Christ the word put out of the church.

After reading the first article you sent, the following article - AND after Prayer I feel within myself NOT to respond to the statements. I can only call it "SICK". The gentleman (not Brothers) are in dire need of mental healing.

Through links in the following e-mail I was taken to a couple of other sites that were negative re Brother Branham, but not in the spirit and attitude of this Cohen man. I did send e-mail to the others to correct a couple of errors they reported about Brother Branham. I'll forward a copy of the e-mail.

No, I do not know and neither have I heard of this Paul Cohen until today. His writings sound similar to the pretentious rhetoric that Jimmy Swaggart teaches on the cross.

Last week I stumbled upon another website while looking for something else.

It was so grievous to me – I wanted to respond. But there is no purpose of doing that – he can’t repent. You cannot even pray for these kind of people.

403-191 Calling the Spirit of God that was doing these miracles in Christ, they said it was the Spirit of the devil doing that; Jesus said it is the unforgivable sin. And if you see a man... Pray--don't pray for him if he's making fun of the Holy Ghost and talking against the Holy Ghost, you are forbidden to even pray for such a person. You understand it? For there is a sin unto death. There's only one sin. Jesus said all manner of sin shall be forgiven the sons of men, but to blaspheme the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven.

Now people say, "Well, blaspheming the Holy Ghost,..." What is "blaspheme?" Means "to talk about, ridicule, make fun of, blaspheme." All right.

What did they blaspheme Him? Telling that Holy Spirit that was within Him, making Him act and do the things that He was doing, they said, "He's possessed with Beelzebub, the devil. And that's the devil, a fortuneteller in Him making Him do those things. Seeing the secrets in the people's heart, and telling Philip He knowed where he was at before he come to the meeting, and casting out devils, and doing those things there, He does it by Beelzebub, and He is a devil." And Jesus said that sin shall never be forgiven, so that is the unpardonable sin never to be prayed for. It can never be forgiven. A man and a woman that does that has eternally sealed themself from the Presence of God forever and forever: no forgiveness.

My advice concerning putting energy and time into these kind of people would come from this quote:

Thank you for forwarding the e-mail by Paul Cohen. I will take the time to read the e-mail again and respond. But he is on VERY dangerous ground. I don't know the man, but he knows even less about William Branham and the Bible. He has made very serious charges against Brother Branham. The quotes he gave were completely out of context - just like the Devil talking to Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Pray for me that the Lord give me Wisdom in my response.
