How Jehovah's Witnesses Are Wrong
Paul sent this note to a JW who came by our office:
Hi Rory,
We said we would get back to you regarding our conversation when you
stopped by last Sunday at our place on Beattie Street.
You said, speaking for yourself as a “Jehovah’s Witness,” that
Jesus Christ is not God. This is the “party line,” which
you have been taught by your organization. But my question to you (not
for you to refer me to your religious literature, which does not justify
you before God’s judgment seat and cannot answer for you to Him)
is how Christ could be your Savior if He is not God? The Scriptures declare
that only God is the Savior of all men:
“Declare you, and bring it forth; yes, let them take counsel together:
Who has shown this from ancient time? Who has declared it of old? Haven't
I, the LORD [YHWH or “Jehovah”]? And there is no
God else besides Me, a just God and a Savior; there is no one besides Me. Look
to Me, and be you saved, all the ends of the earth; for
I am God, and there is none else” (Isaiah 45:21-22 HNV).
How much more emphatically and clearly could it be said?
But you say Christ, the Savior, is another, disagreeing with the testimony
of God and making Christ no Savior at all. “Whoever denies the
Son, the same doesn't have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the
Father also” (1 John 2:23 HNV).
Another lie taught by your religion is that Adam and Eve were the perfect
equivalents of Christ. How can those created without the knowledge of
good and evil or possessing eternal life be perfect as the Creator (all
things were created by Christ – Colossians 1:16), Who knows all
things and is the life-giving Spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45)?
The proof of the marked difference between them is that the first Adam
sinned, but the second Adam overcame temptation and sin in His mortal
body of flesh and raised it from the dead.
“The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the
Lord from Heaven” (1 Corinthians 15:47 KJV).
Paul the apostle, informed by the Spirit of God, laid out the difference
in stark terms:
“Like the man made of dust, so also are those who are made of
dust; and as is the Heavenly Man, so also are those who are Heavenly” (1
Corinthians 15:48 EMTV).
Your religion also teaches that Adam will not be saved because he sinned.
But, once again, your religion is in conflict with the testimony of God,
Who says that where sin abounds, grace abounds more. How can you consign
anyone who sins, deliberately or not, to eternal death? God has not said
that Adam is an exception to His grace. On the contrary, Paul reports:
“Therefore as by one offense sentence came on all men to condemnation,
even so by the righteousness of One the free gift came to all
men to
justification of life” (Romans 5:18 MKJV).
Adam is not considered unique in his sin. There are those who have sinned
the same sin as Adam, who are, nevertheless, the recipients of the free
gift of grace in Christ, just as those who have not:
“Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those
who did not sin according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam,
who is a type of Him Who was to come. But the free gift is not like the
offense. For if by the offense of one man many died, much more the grace
of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded
to the many” (Romans 5:14-15 EMTV).
If you are finding discrepancies in your Bible, is it any wonder, when
only one of the “translators” out of a mere four or so was
familiar with the original languages, in which he, Fred Franz, was but
a novice (In Search of Christian Freedom, Raymond Franz, Commentary Press,
Atlanta, 1991), and none of them knew the Lord and heard His voice? Instead,
they made a Bible to fit with their doctrines, rather than letting the
Word of God speak as He intended.
I am willing to say more and to answer any objections you might have;
are you willing to be reasoned with? I have not met one “Jehovah’s
Witness” who is. How is it, Rory, that you are free to come to
my house and to give me your religious materials, which you expect me
to read, but you will not do likewise and prayerfully read and consider
what I have written? While I have red JW materials, you have not red
what we have to say. I can answer you, but you cannot answer me. Is the
way of your god wise and just?
How can we have a conversation, if you will not hear what I have been
given to know and speak from God? Why are you so afraid and closed? I
know the answer.
You have been taught a pack of lies, and you do not examine anything
that contradicts them, because one of the lies you have been taught is
that your organization is the only true representation of God on earth.
Since that is a fraudulent claim, as with all other man-made organizations
presuming to be God’s sole representatives, you are insecure and
cannot face scrutiny or anything that sheds light on your error. Liars
choose to believe lies and have their appointed time for purging in the
lake of fire.
Paul Cohen
Ten months later, Rory replied:
It is important for you to know the truth about Jesus. Why? Because
the Bible says: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge
of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus
Christ." (John 17:3) Yes, knowing the truth about Jehovah God and
about Jesus Christ can lead to everlasting life on a paradise earth.
(John 14:6)
Long before Jesus was born, the Bible foretold the coming of the one
whom God would send as the Messiah, or Christ. The titles "Messiah" (from
a Hebrew word) and "Christ" (from a Greek word) both mean "Anointed
One." This promised One would be anointed, that is, appointed
by God to a special position.
In the first century C.E., the disciples of Jesus of Nazareth were
fully convinced that he was the foretold Messiah. (John 1:41) One of
the disciples, a man named Simon Peter, openly said to Jesus: "You
are the Christ." (Matthew 16:16)
The Bible teaches that Jesus lived in heaven before he came to earth.
Micah prophesied that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem and also
said that His origin was "from early times." (Micah 5:2)
On many occasions, Jesus himself said that he lived in heaven before
being born as a human. (John 3:13; 6:38, 62; 17:4, 5) As a spirit creature
in heaven, Jesus had a special relationship with Jehovah.
Jesus is Jehovah's most precious Son-and for good reason. He is called "the
firstborn of all creation," for he was God's first creation. (Colossians
1:15) There is something else that makes this Son special. He is the "only-begotten
Son." (John 3:16) This means that Jesus is the only one directly
created by God. Jesus is also the only one whom God used when He created
all other things. (Colossians 1:16) Then, too, Jesus is called "the
Word." (John 1:14) This tells us that he spoke for God, no doubt
delivering messages and instructions to the Father's other sons, both
spirit and human.
Is the firstborn Son equal to God, as some believe? That is not what
the Bible
teaches. The Son was created. Obviously, then, he had a beginning,
whereas Jehovah God has no beginning or end. (Psalm 90:2) The only-begotten
Son never even considered trying to be equal to his Father. The Bible
clearly teaches that the Father is greater than the Son. (John 14:28;
1 Corinthians 11:3) Jehovah alone is "God Almighty." (Genesis
17:1) Therefore, he has no equal.
Jehovah and his firstborn Son enjoyed close association for billions
of years-long before the starry heavens and the earth were created.
How they must have loved each other! (John 3:35; 14:31) This dear Son
was just like his Father. That is why the Bible refers to the Son as "the
image of the invisible God." (Colossians 1:15) Yes, even as a
human son may closely resemble his father in various ways, this heavenly
Son reflected his Father's qualities and personality.
Jehovah's only-begotten Son willingly left heaven and came down to
earth to live as a human.
What Jesus said and did while on earth helps us to get to know him
well. More than that, through Jesus we come to know Jehovah better.
Why is this the case? Recall that this Son is a perfect reflection
of his Father. That is why Jesus
told one of his disciples: "He that has seen me has seen the Father
also." (John 14:9)
Why did Jesus go to such lengths and spend so much of his time preaching
and teaching? Because doing so was God's will for him. Jesus always
did his Father's will. (John 8:28, 29) But there was another reason
why he preached. He felt compassion for the crowds of people who came
out to see him. (Matthew 9:35, 36) They were neglected by their religious
leaders, who should have been teaching them the truth about God and
his purposes. Jesus knew how much the people needed to hear the Kingdom
message.
Paul’s reply:
Rory, it is you who does not know the truth about Jesus. That is because
you do not know Him. You have red some things in the Bible that you do
not understand, and you have been taught some things by your religious
organization, much of which is error. Perhaps the biggest lie you have
been taught is that Jesus was created. That is not anywhere in the Bible.
Where you and your church think to see it, you misinterpret the Scripture.
I will show how.
You write:
“Jehovah and his firstborn Son enjoyed close
association for billions of years-long before the starry heavens and
the earth were created.”
But the Scriptures say that the Son of God has no beginning of days:
“...without father, without mother, without descent, having
neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made
like the Son of God, He remains
a priest continually” (Hebrews 7:3 MKJV).
You mistakenly say of Colossians 1:15:
“Jesus is Jehovah's most precious Son-and
for good reason. He is called ‘the firstborn of all creation,’ for he was God's
first creation. (Colossians 1:15)”
But being called the “firstborn of all creation” does not
mean that Christ is a creature of God. Paul goes on to give the definition
of what being the Firstborn means, which shows how wrong you and other “Jehovah
Witnesses” are:
“Who is the image of the invisible God, the First-born of all
creation. For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens,
and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones
or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created
through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and by
Him all things consist.
And He is the Head of the Body, the Church, Who is the Beginning, the
First-born from the dead, that He may be pre-eminent in all things” (Colossians
1:15-18 MKJV).
There is nothing whatsoever said about Christ being created. Everything
is about Him being the Cause and Substance of all things, which makes
Him preeminent and the Firstborn. These things can only be said of God,
our Creator.
Now, we know that it is wrong to worship a creature; only the Creator
is worthy of worship and glory:
“For they changed the truth of God into a lie, and they worshiped
and served the created thing more than the Creator, Who is blessed forever.
Amen” (Romans 1:25 MKJV).
Therefore, it would be wrong to worship Christ if He were a mere creature.
But worship Him is exactly what we do, and that is what we find the saints
of God on earth doing, as recorded in the Scriptures:
“And it happened as He blessed them, He withdrew from them and
was carried up into Heaven. And worshiping Him, they returned to Jerusalem
with great joy” (Luke 24:51-52 MKJV).
And in Heaven too:
“Saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain,
to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory
and blessing. And I heard every creature which is in the Heaven and on
the earth, and under the earth, and those that are in the sea, and all
who are in them, saying, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to
Him sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever. And the
four living creatures said, Amen. And the twenty-four elders
fell down and worshiped the One living forever and ever” (Revelation 5:12-14
MKJV).
The One Who lives forever is Jesus Christ:
“I am He Who lives, and became dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore.
Amen” (Revelation 1:18 EMTV).
What does the Bible say about Who has life forever? Here it is:
“For He in His own time will reveal Who is the blessed and only
Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, Who alone has
immortality,
dwelling in light which cannot be approached, Whom no one of men have
seen, nor can see; to Whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen” (1
Timothy 6:15-16 MKJV).
Only God has immortality, and if Christ has immortality, how does one
deny that He is God? Who else is King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation
17:14 and 19:16)? So it is no wonder that we worship Him, for Christ
is God over all:
“Whose are the fathers, and of whom came Christ in the flesh,
Who is over all, God, to Whom be blessing for ever. So be it” (Romans
9:5 BBE).
You mistakenly think that “begotten” means Christ was created
and left Heaven to come to earth:
“Jehovah's only-begotten Son willingly left
heaven and came down to earth to live as a human.”
This is not what it says in the Bible. It says that Christ was begotten
at the resurrection (not before His incarnation):
“And we preach the gospel to you, the promise made to the fathers,
this God has fulfilled to us their children, raising up Jesus, as also
it is written in the second Psalm, ‘You are My Son, this
day I have begotten You’”(Acts 13:32-33 MKJV).
And: “Who was declared Son of God with power according to the
Spirit of holiness by the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our
Lord” (Romans 1:4 EMTV).
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God
made this same Jesus, Whom you crucified, both Lord
and Christ” (Acts
2:36 MKJV).
Why is your doctrinal error so important? Why not just leave you alone
in your opinions and false interpretation of Scripture? Because if you
do not know the risen, only begotten Son of God (there is only one God),
you cannot be begotten yourself and quickened from the dead. That means
you are presently dead in your sins. Hear what you are missing, dead
man:
“And from Jesus Christ, Who is the faithful witness, and the first
begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto
Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and
has made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory
and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (Revelation 1:5-6 KJV).
Knowing the truth about Christ can only come by knowing Him, and you
do not. If you knew Him, you would hear His voice, and you do not. If
you knew Him, you would know that I know Him, and you do not. If you
knew Him, you would read and understand those things we preach of Him,
and you do not. If you knew Him, you would not be part of a man-made
church or religious organization; you would walk as He did and as He
commands His followers, apart from false religion and in fellowship with
God:
“God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit
and in truth” (John 4:24 MKJV).
You came knocking on my door, not in love, but in contempt of neighbor.
That is the spirit of the “Jehovah’s Witnesses.” If
one is not part of your organization, he is automatically a heathen with
nothing possibly of God to offer you. If he professes Christ outside
of your religion, he is either deluded or a child of the devil, damned
to hell and annihilation unless joining your group. You earn brownie
points with your religion by going door to door to spread its diabolical
doctrines, and you turn off your ears from hearing what others say. In
treating us, members of Christ, this way, you have called unclean what
God has called holy. You demonstrate the wretchedness of the “Jehovah’s
Witness” who can be proud of himself, as though doing something
worthy of Heaven, while he despises and defies God through His children.
Paul Cohen
A second note from Paul:
Victor Hafichuk, with whom I am sent to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ,
is that prophet spoken of by Moses in Deuteronomy 18. That means you
are required to hear the things we are saying to you, whether you agree
or not, like it or not, or read what we send to you or not. God, for
your sake, will not let these things pass, because it is He, Whom you
call Jehovah, Who has sent us to speak to you. He is finished tolerating
all the lies and blasphemies of the destroyer taught in His Name.
Paul Cohen
Rory’s reply:
FOR centuries, false messiahs have tried to predict the future. In the
fifth century C.E., a man who called himself Moses convinced Jews on
the island of Crete that he was the messiah and would deliver them from
oppression. On the day set for their liberation, they followed him to
a high point overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. He said that they had
only to cast themselves into the sea, and it would part before them.
A great many who plunged into the waters drowned, and that false messiah
fled from the scene.
In the 12th century, a "messiah" emerged in Yemen. The caliph,
or ruler, asked him for a sign of his messiahship. This "messiah" proposed
that the caliph have him beheaded. He prophesied a swift resurrection
that would serve as the sign. The caliph agreed to the plan-and that
was the end of that "messiah."
False messiahs and their prophecies are total failures, but paying attention
to God's prophetic word never leads to disappointment. The true Messiah,
Jesus Christ, was the living fulfillment of many Bible prophecies. Quoting
Isaiah's prophecy, for instance, the Gospel writer Matthew wrote: "'O
land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, along the road of the sea, on the
other side of the Jordan, Galilee of the nations! the people sitting
in darkness saw a great light, and as for those sitting in a region of
deathly shadow, light rose upon them.' From that time on Jesus commenced
preaching and saying: 'Repent, you people, for the kingdom of the heavens
has drawn near.'" (Matthew 4:15-17; Isaiah 9:1, 2)
Jesus was that "great light," and his ministry proved that
he was the Prophet foretold by Moses. Deuteronomy 18:18, 19.
Not Victor!
Paul’s reply:
There have been false “Christs” all along, just like your
version of the Real One. But didn’t you know that the Messiah and
that prophet are two different persons, according to the Scriptures?
“And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and
Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who are you? And he confessed and
did not deny, but confessed, I am not the Christ. And they asked him,
What then? Are you Elijah? And he says, I am not. Are you that
prophet? And he answered, No. Then they said to him, Who are you so that we may
give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say of yourself?” (John
1:19-22 MKJV)
“Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said,
Of a truth this is the Prophet. Others said, This is the Christ. But
some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?” (John 7:40-41 KJV)
Or don’t, as usual, and remain in your wrongness and ignorance.
Paul
Rory also replied:
Jesus, in his prehuman existence, was “the first-born of all creation.” (Colossians
1:15, NJB)
He was “the beginning of God’s creation.” (Revelation
3:14, RS, Catholic edition).
“Beginning” [Greek, ar‧khe′] cannot rightly
be interpreted to mean that Jesus was the ‘beginner’ of
God’s creation. In his Bible writings, John uses various forms
of the Greek word ar‧khe′ more than 20 times, and
these always have the common meaning of “beginning.” Yes,
Jesus was created by God as the beginning of God’s invisible
creations.
Notice how closely those references to the origin of Jesus correlate
with expressions uttered by the figurative “Wisdom” in
the Bible book of Proverbs:
“Yahweh created me, first-fruits of his fashioning, before the
oldest of his works. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills,
I came to birth; before he had made the earth, the countryside, and the
first elements of the world.” (Proverbs 8:12, 22, 25, 26, NJB)
While the term “Wisdom” is used to personify the one whom
God created, most scholars agree that it is actually a figure of speech
for Jesus as a spirit creature prior to his human existence.
As “Wisdom” in his prehuman existence, Jesus goes on to
say that he was “by his [God’s] side, a master craftsman.” (Proverbs
8:30, JB) In harmony with this role as master craftsman, Colossians
1:16 says of Jesus that “through him God created everything in
heaven and on earth.”—Today’s English Version (TEV).
So it was by means of this master worker, his junior partner, as it
were, that Almighty God created all other things. The Bible summarizes
the matter this way: “For us there is one God, the Father, from
whom are all things . . . and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom
are all things.” (Italics ours.)—1 Corinthians 8:6, RS,
Catholic edition.
It no doubt was to this master craftsman that God said: “Let
us make man in our image.” (Genesis 1:26) Some have claimed that
the “us” and “our” in this expression indicate
a Trinity. But if you were to say, ‘Let us make something for
ourselves,’ no one would normally understand this to imply that
several persons are combined as one inside of you. You simply mean
that two or more individuals will work together on something. So, too,
when God used “us” and “our,” he was simply
addressing another individual, his first spirit creation, the master
craftsman, the prehuman Jesus.
Paul’s reply:
Rory, the Scriptures prove you wrong every time you try to use Them.
Jesus Christ precedes the beginning of creation, which makes Him the
Beginner of creation. Hear what is written of Him, especially the highlighted
and colored portion:
“But to the Son He says, ‘Your throne, O God, is forever
and ever. A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity, therefore God, Your
God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows.’ And, ‘You,
Lord, have laid the foundation of the earth in
the beginning, and the
Heavens are the works of Your hands. They shall perish, but You will
remain. And they shall all become old as a garment, and as a covering
You shall fold them up, and they shall be changed. But You are the same,
and Your years shall not fail’” (Hebrews 1:8-12 MKJV).
How could Jesus Christ have laid the foundation in the beginning, unless
He came before what He created? There you have it: Jesus Christ
precedes the beginning of creation, which makes Him the Beginning of creation.
Without the Son of God, Who is the express image of God, nothing would
exist:
“All things came into being through Him, and without Him not
even one thing came into being that has come into being” (John 1:3 MKJV).
Not even one thing, which would have to include your imaginary “son.” That
changes every Scripture you think to understand in your darkness but
do not:
“And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write, 'These things
says the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation
of God” (Revelation 3:14 EMTV).
The Greek word for “beginning,” from Strong’s Concordance:
ar-khay'
From G756; (properly abstract) a commencement, or (concrete) chief (in
various applications of order, time, place or rank): - beginning, corner,
(at the, the) first (estate), magistrate, power, principality, principle,
rule.
“Beginning” also means “Chief,” “Principle,” “Corner,” and “Power,” which
is why two literal versions of this verse are translated as follows:
“And to the angel of the assembly of Laodicea, write: These things
says the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Head of the creation
of God” (Revelation 3:14 LITV).
“And to the messenger of the assembly of the Laodiceans write:
These things saith the Amen, the Witness--the faithful and true--the
Chief of the creation of God” (Revelation 3:14 YLT).
This is consistent with what Jesus said of Himself, quoting the Word
of God to those like you who did not believe:
“And He looked at them and said, What then is this which is written, ‘The
Stone which the builders rejected, the Same has become the Head of the
corner?’” (Luke 20:17 MKJV)
Christ is God actualizing Himself in creation. “He came to His
own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, He gave
to them authority to become the children of God...” (John 1:11-12
MKJV).
By rejecting us, His children, you reject the Cornerstone on Whom we
are built. You turn away God’s realization, Jesus Christ, for yourself.
And it is for this purpose that God appeared in Christ – to judge
the world.
Nuances of words and context are lost on you altogether, because you
are an idolater who is deaf and dumb, whose thought is channeled by the
lies your religion teaches. Your mind is slave to corruption, the “Jehovah's
Witnesses” religion, which you serve for your own sake. The thoughts
and understanding of God are totally foreign to you. Nevertheless, we
speak the Truth that judges you and liberates those for liberation.
What Russell never intended, Rutherford established in his lusts. A
drunk and a damned, unregenerate fool he was, taking advantage for his
own purposes, and the cattle were herded to his pleasure. But neither
did Russell have the Spirit of God. He was also studying and searching,
ever learning and never coming to knowledge of the Truth. He never knew
the Lord, never having been born again. You, Rory, are nothing but a
common, simple dupe, who thinks he has come across the kingdom, and you
have – a kingdom of man - Rutherford, but not the Kingdom of Jehovah
God, of which we are residents and spokespersons.
I will give yet more proofs from the Scriptures that Jesus Christ is
from before the beginning, because He is Jehovah:
“Who hath wrought and done, calling the generations from the first?
I, Jehovah, the first, and with the last I am He” (Isaiah 41:4
YLT).
The Creator is called “the first,” Jehovah, Who made and
shaped all things from the beginning. He Who called into being the generations
is the first Himself. Who can deny that this is Jesus Christ?
“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His
right hand upon me, saying to me, Do not fear, I am the First and the
Last, and the Living One, and I became dead, and behold, I am alive for
ever and ever, Amen. And I have the keys of hell and of death” (Revelation
1:17-18 MKJV).
Jesus Christ is Creator and Redeemer of all men; there is no other God.
Jesus Christ is Jehovah and Jehovah is Jesus Christ:
“So says Jehovah, your Redeemer, and He
Who formed you from the
womb, I am Jehovah Who makes all things; Who stretches out the heavens
alone; Who spreads out the earth; who was with
Me?” (Isaiah 44:24
MKJV)
You say that Jesus was with Jehovah billions of years ago, but Jehovah
says you lie, along with those who lied to you, intentionally or unwittingly.
He says that there was no one else with Him or even like Him:
“Remember former things of old, For I am Mighty, and there
is none else, God--and there is none like Me” (Isaiah 46:9 YLT).
Your “Jehovah's Witnesses” explanation of Proverbs 8 is
more grievous error, grievous because driven by false doctrine that tries
to prove the Lord Jesus Christ is a created being. But the subject matter
of the proverb is wisdom, which was not a created being but a characteristic
possessed by God in the beginning of His way. How could God create wisdom
if He was lacking wisdom in the first place? How stupid your idolatries
and diabolical doctrines have made you! Repent! Think, you damned fool,
think!
How can wisdom be Jesus Christ when it is spoken of as “her”?
“She stands in the top of high places, by the way in the places
of the path. She cries in the gates, before the entrance of the city,
at the doors” (Proverbs 8:2-3 MKJV).
Clearly this is not speaking of the Lord Jesus Christ, not Queen of
kings, but King of kings, Who is always referred to in the masculine.
As we have already heard, there is only one Creator. You are ever perverting
the Bible with your damnable interpretations. Verse 8:30 is not the Lord
Jesus Christ speaking but is man’s interaction with God through
the understanding and wisdom in Him:
“Then I was by Him, as a nursling; and I was daily all delight,
playing always before Him, playing in His habitable earth, and my delights
are with the sons of men” (Proverbs 8:30-31 JPS).
There is no delight in you, because you are entirely void of wisdom.
You follow up on Proverbs 8 by quoting the following as proof that Christ
is God’s “junior partner”:
“‘For us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all
things . . . and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things.’ (Italics
ours.)—1 Corinthians 8:6, RS, Catholic edition.”
There is nothing about a “junior partner” in this Scripture,
only a description of God’s means of making Himself manifest through
the Lord Jesus Christ. But rather than two separate beings, have you
not heard that the Lord is our God?
“And after these things I heard a great sound of a numerous crowd
in Heaven, saying, Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and honor and the
power to the Lord our God!” (Revelation 19:1 MKJV)
The One Who has all glory, honor, and power is God, Who is also our
Lord. How else could we come to know God except if He is our Lord? As
it is written:
“And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery,
which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, Who created
all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities
and powers in Heavenly places might be known by the Church the manifold
wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which He purposed in
Christ Jesus our Lord” (Ephesians 3:9-11 KJV).
If Christ were what you say He is, He would not be the One revealed,
but would be among those principalities and powers receiving the revelation
of God. But He is not found there because He is God, concealed from His
creation until the time according to His eternal purposes.
There is no plurality of gods or creators of mankind in Genesis 1, as
you presume and speak through willful ignorance of Him. God Himself says
otherwise in the verse following, using the singular form for the verb “created” and
speaking of His image in the singular, and not plural:
“And God created man in His image; in the image of God He created
him. He created them male and female” (Genesis 1:27 MKJV).
There is only one God, and you, as with all “Jehovah’s Witnesses,” do
not see Him because you reject His Son, Who speaks to you through us. “Jehovah’s
Witnesses” are not His witnesses; they are bitter thieves and liars,
using His Name for their own wicked and ignorant purposes. We, true witnesses
unto Jehovah, tell you so. Try reading The
True Marks of a Cult and find
out that you have the earmarks of all the religious organizations you
condemn. But you won’t read that paper or even this letter because
you are fearful of deception, right? Your captors warn and prevent you
from reading anything contrary to the party line because they do not
want to lose their captives, and you are foolish enough to believe them.
You do not realize that those who walk in the Truth have nothing to
fear. Even Jesus Christ was led into the wilderness to be tempted of
the devil; it had to be. He was not commanded to stay away from the devil
lest He be turned aside from the Truth; He had to be subjected to his
lies.
We have nothing to fear from your lies because we are in the Truth,
Who is Jesus Christ, but you and yours are entirely void of Him.
Perfect love casts out fear, the Bible says, but you fear and your leaders
fear because you are all liars, and Truth exposes liars. How is it you
are afraid to read our materials, but we are not afraid of your manifestly
foolish doctrines? Think, you fool, think! Yet we know that only the
grace of God delivered us from our wickedness and delusions, and only
the grace of God will deliver you.

How the JW Bible Adds Words to Suit Its Diabolical Doctrine
While arguing that Jesus Christ is a creature of God rather than the
Creator Himself, Rory Colbert sent us the following Scripture quote from
the New World Translation (a “Jehovah’s Witnesses” translation)
in an effort to prove the JW doctrine. The words in blue are added to
the original text:
“NOTE: verse 15 and 16
‘To the Colossians
1:13 He delivered us from the authority of the darkness and transferred
us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, 14 by means of whom we
have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. 15 He is the
image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because
by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and
upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter
whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities.
All [other] things have been created through him and for him.’”
Paul’s reply:
This Scripture plainly declares that Christ is the Creator of all things,
but that does not suit Jehovah’s Witnesses’ doctrine, so
you add the word “other” to declare that He is among those
things created. Isn’t it false witnesses of God who add words to
the Bible where it suits their arguments? So in all your Scripture-twisting
interpretations you people rob and plague yourselves. As it is written:
“For I testify together to everyone who hears the Words of the
prophecy of this Book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add on
him the plagues that have been written in this Book. And if anyone takes
away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away
his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from
the things which have been written in this Book” (Revelation 22:18-19
MKJV).
If Jesus Christ is not God, you are dead in your sins. And because for
you He is not God, that is exactly what you are.
Quotes from various articles coming against New World Translation shenanigans:
Translation bias against the eternal nature of Jesus Christ as Creator
God is clearly seen in the New World Translation's insertion of the word "other" in
reference to Jesus' work in creation. By adding the word "other" to "all
things" so that it reads "by means of him all [other] things
were made to exist," the Watchtower is able to justify its claim
that Jehovah God created Jesus first and then used Jesus as His creative
agent for the rest of creation. However, Scripture proclaims that Jesus
is the Creator of "all things," for He has always existed as
the uncreated, "everlasting father" --possessor of eternity
(Isaiah 9:6). While early editions of the New World Translation prior
to the 1961 edition inserted the word "other" without brackets
so that one could not tell the word is not in the original Greek, the
1961 edition and all others following it are more honest by enclosing
the word in brackets. However, we again see translation bias against
the Deity of Jesus Christ reoccurring in Watchtower literature on pages
20 and 21 of the February 1, 1992 issue of The Watchtower where the Watchtower's
insertion of "other" in Colossians 1:16 is again quoted without
the brackets. [Source]
8) Notice that the word "other" is in brackets. This means
the word is not found in the Greek text but was inserted by the translators
of the NWT to clarify their interpretation. Their Kingdom Interlinear
Translation of the Greek Scriptures provides their rationale in the footnote
to verse 16, "All [other], as in Luke 11:41, 42" (p. 880).
But these are not even good texts to support the NWT's interpretation,
because "other" might be inserted in order to smooth the translation,
but it is not required. Hebrews 2:10 has a Greek construction closer
to Colossians 1:16, and yet "other" is not inserted in the
NWT. Therefore, the NWT's insertion of "other" in Colossians
1:16 is clearly based on the Watchtower's assumption that Jesus was created
and not because the Greek requires it. [Source]
To justify their position, the Watchtower, in its New World Translation
(NWT) of the Scriptures, does violence to the verses that follow. The
word "other" is inserted four times, to alter their meaning: "Because
by means of him all (other) things were created....he is before all (other)
things" etc. (Colossians 1:16, 17, NWT). This is notably different
from what the Apostle Paul actually wrote, an "all" inclusive
of everything ever created. There is no "other" in vv. 16 and
17 in the Greek text, either latent or explicit, and there is no way
to justify its insertion. It is scholastic dishonesty. [Source]
