Definition of False Teacher: One who presumes
to teach in the Name of the Lord when God has not sent him.
False Teachers - Bill
Schnoebelen & Todd White
Different Flavors of the Same Poison
These two teachers bear
little resemblance to one another superficially in what they preach
and do, but underneath it’s the same spirit of the prince of
this world at work, giving the people the illusion of choice.
We received the following letter:
Hello, I have read some of your site, and agree with most of the things
I have read thus far. I began by reading your correspondence with the
JW. I love your knowledge of the Bible because as a fairly new Christian,
I am still reading, learning, and trying to comprehend The Word.
I also started looking through your list of false teachers. I have always
believed Joyce and Joel should be avoided, for the reasons you stated.
Anyone that is as widely quoted as Joel, and never once is God or Christ
named...or Heaven, Hell, Satan...the list goes on and on, cannot be someone
preaching my Lord's word. Sure, it makes people more likely to listen,
but it isn't teaching anyone anything about salvation, which is the Gospel,
the Word...it actually makes me sad because, while I know it is not the
main goal, he could be bringing so many people to Jesus. But instead
focuses on ratings.
I am sorry for rambling. I am sure you find this boring. I have an actual
point. There are two men I am interested on knowing whether or not you
find them to be false. I am sure they will be obvious to you, but as
I said earlier, I still have so much to learn.
I will also say, I
have been told I have a "sarcastic way" about
me, so I apologize if it seems I am mocking you or if I am coming across
condecendingly. I am in no way sending this with anything other than
sincerity and a desire to learn. Thank you. For any time you take to
read and/or reply.
The two men are Bill Schnoebelen and Todd White. Thank you so much,
even just for reading.
I hope you have a beautiful day,
Fahren
Paul replied:
Hi Fahren,
We didn’t find your letter boring or sarcastic. We take you at
the plain meaning of your words. Regarding your question about Bill Schnoebelen
and Todd White, they aren’t ministers of Christ. They’re
self-appointed ministers – deceived and deceiving those who follow
them in their man-glorifying ways.
Of course they say some true things; all false teachers do. Satan comes
as an angel of light, quoting Scriptures and speaking as if he is the
Word of God revealed, even with His power and authority:
“For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give
miraculous signs and wonders in order to seduce, if possible, even the
elect” (Mark 13:22 MKJV).
Two documents we recommend are The
True Marks of a Cult and Diabolical
Doctrines. These will give you objective measurements to work with. Above
all, however, you need to know that being kept from error comes by walking
in the light you’ve been given. Without faith and obedience, knowledge
is useless and worse, as James writes:
James 1:21-25 EMTV
(21) Therefore laying aside all filthiness and abundance of evil, in
meekness receive the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.
(22) But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
(23) Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, this one
is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
(24) for he observed himself and has gone away, and immediately forgot
what sort of man he was.
(25) But the one who looks into the perfect Law of liberty and continues
in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one
shall be blessed in what he does.
Better not to know than to know and not do.
“And that servant who knew his lord’s will and did not prepare,
nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But
he not knowing, and doing things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with
few stripes. For to whomever much is given, of him much shall be required.
And to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more” (Luke
12:47-48 MKJV).
Do you have specific questions about either of these teachers? Consult
with the writings I’ve given you, and if you don’t find your
answers there, or if new questions are raised, let us know.

Fahren replied:
Thank you so much for reading and replying. I will read the documents
you mentioned. Thank you again, so much.
Addendum:
Here are some other indicators of falsehood you’ll find at these
men’s websites:
Todd White: At Todd’s
site – http://lifestylechristianity.com – I
see that he asks for money (Money
Solicitation).
He also talks up love, but not repentance, the
cross, or true holiness
(So You Want
to Walk with Jesus).
The main statement on his homepage:
“Our mission statement of the gospel is
to become love so that wherever we go, people want what we have!”
Did people look at Jesus and say they wanted what He had? Who wants
to take up the cross and be hated by all men? Jesus was despised and
men hid their faces from Him, as prophesied in Isaiah 53. None were motivated
by the kind of love Todd is doling out.
If anyone wants what the Lord came to give us, eternal life, that means
coming to the cross and dying, something no person naturally wants to
do. The natural man wants the goodies without paying the price. That’s
what we see with Todd. He attracts men with the honey of false love (see
False Love - Satan’s Last Stronghold), which is an empty promise
of salvation without the cross.
Here’s what the Lord said people will see in His disciples:
“By this all shall know that you are My disciples, if you have
love toward one another” (John 13:35 MKJV).
People know God has visited them because they see believers who love
one another, not believers who gush over unbelievers in a gaudy demonstration
of affection and affectation. And here’s the Lord’s description
of the love believers have towards one another:
“This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved
you. No one has greater love than this, that a man lay down his life
for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you” (John
15:12-14 MKJV).
The love of Christ is to obey Him, laying down one’s life for
Him and His people. A demonstration of this is the life of His servant
Paul, who taught us that Christ’s people are His Body.
Todd White is building on another foundation, “another Jesus,” and
not the Sure Foundation of the Lord Jesus Christ Whom we preach at The
Path of Truth. No matter how many gather to him, Todd is like a spark
of fire falling on an empty beach, soon extinguished.
We watched Todd being interviewed by
another false teacher at our site, Patricia
King, and it’s readily apparent they’re birds
of a feather.
Bill Schnoebelen: At
Bill’s site – http://www.withoneaccord.org – he
also asks for money (Money
Solicitation).
While he doesn’t make as big a deal about love as Todd does, he,
too, is a proponent and practitioner of false
love. His teachings also
bypass repentance, the
cross, and true holiness (So
You Want to Walk with Jesus).
Bill presents himself as a former Catholic, Mason, witch, magician,
Satanist, and Mormon, who can inform you about many of the ways of these
groups, ostensibly to keep you from practicing them.
Your time would be far better spent learning the truth in Christ and
being converted by Him, if you believe. As one person described the process
of training counterfeit money detection experts, they learn their trade
by mainly handling the authentic article. Then they can discern a bill
that is not genuine.
As a Jew, when I became a believer, I didn’t study what was wrong
with the so-called Judaism I learned as a child. God immersed me in the
Truth of His Son instead, shedding light on everything I needed to know
when I needed to know it.
The Lordship of Jesus Christ is foreign to Bill. He knows “another
Jesus.” What he teaches is just another kind of spiritism, this
time taking the Lord’s Name and presenting it as the pure faith
of God. If what Bill preached was from God, then he wouldn’t be
teaching errors like The
Trinity, Jewish
Worship Practices Are Important to Keep, Hebrew
Names for God, and The
King James Authorized Version Is the Perfect Word of God.
If Bill knew the Lord, he wouldn’t credit Wiccans (witches) as
he does: “Most of them are very sincere spiritual
seekers, even as we were 25 years ago.” Yes, and look where Bill is now. He may
have a form of spirituality with certain powers, but it’s not from
the Lord Jesus Christ. Sincerely seeking spiritual things isn’t
the same as sincerely seeking the Truth. Bill found something, but it
wasn’t the Lord.
“For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they lure
through the lusts of the flesh, by unbridled lust, the ones who were
escaping from those who live in error; promising them liberty, they themselves
are the slaves of corruption. For by whom anyone has been overcome, even
to this one he has been enslaved” (2 Peter 2:18-19 MKJV).
Paul Cohen
How can we find a man wrong who preaches repentance
and the cross of Jesus Christ? He’s wrong because he preaches
a false repentance and illegitmate representation of the cross, coming
from a false Jesus
conceived by man. Here we show a defender of Todd White how Todd perverts
the words of the Bible and creates a false spiritual life for himself
and his followers.
